I am currently renting a 4x4 standard apartment and my rent is $670/month + $50/month for electric. That's a grand total of $720 a month for my own bed and bathroom. Personally, I think it is worth it. The location of the apartment complex is wonderful. It is very close to campus and near many restaurants. My apartment is very spacious as well. The common area (kitchen and living room) is surprising large. The bathroom in my room are enormous and is somewhat unnecessary. The room itself is quite cramped. It is OK if it's just you in your room but if you have another person in your room, it gets annoying constantly maneuvering around one another. The bathrooms should have been made smaller and the rooms should have been made bigger. The internet is also decent. It gets spotty at times which can be quite frustrating. I contacted the internet service provider, Pavlov Media, a few times when I had internet issues but they were no help. The problem eventually went away on its own. My biggest complaint about Campus Pointe was the condition of my apartment upon move in. It was horrendously dirty. Dust piled up in every air vent, spider webs in the corners, food crumbs from previous residents under the stove and fridge, stains in and around my toilet, grime buildup in the shower, dust and junk underneath the sink and in the drawers, dirty where the hot water tank is, and EXTREMELY filthy carpets in my room. The picture I have attached to this review is from August 18th, the day I moved in. The vacuum was also brand new, fresh out of the box. The cleaning people Campus Pointe had hired we asked to come back to my apartment three separate times clean more or re-clean things. Campus Pointe was very nice about the situation and even offered to hire different cleaning people to clean our entire apartment. All in all, Campus Pointe is an excellent place to live and I highly recommend it to any and all current or future Kent State students! A flat rate of $50 for electric and all other utilities included, furnished apartments, personal bed and bathrooms, internet, cable, in-unit washer and dryers, great workout room, a pool, and absolutely wonderful staff is unbeatable! (FYI: I do not work for Campus Pointe. I am only a resident.)

I've also experienced multiple centipedes which i've never dealt with. Then they insultingly decided to raise my rent while also removing the provided cable asking me to resign. HA. they even called this place a "value" LOL NO ITS NOT. don't move here, don't give them anymore money for a literal overpriced shoebox. i've never been more depressed living somewhere in my life and it's fully because of this complex. I lived here for about two years, and the biggest issue by far was the constant bug problem…read more Throughout my tenancy, management refused to address the deteriorated seals around the doors and windows, allowing insects to enter the apartment year-round. The problem became so severe that I eventually brought my outdoor camping bug zapper inside, where it routinely caught dozens of gnats and mosquitoes every day. Basic maintenance, such as replacing weatherstripping and sealing gaps around windows and doors, was never adequately addressed. The overall quality of maintenance was also extremely poor. The apartment appeared to have been given a rushed cosmetic paint job rather than properly renovated. In the walk-in closet, old closet hardware and the clothing rod had simply been painted over rather than removed and replaced. There was even literal hair embedded in the paint, making it obvious that surfaces had not been properly cleaned or prepared before painting. The paint itself was low quality and prone to dripping, particularly in the bathroom, where it left yellowish streaks and stains on the shower walls over time. Parking was another ongoing frustration. Residents frequently competed for spaces because parking rules were rarely enforced, creating unnecessary conflicts and inconvenience. The heating and cooling situation was also disappointing. The apartment did not have central air conditioning or central heat. Instead, tenants were provided with an aging window air-conditioning unit that appeared poorly maintained and had accumulated years of dirt and grime. Heating was supplied by old electric wall heaters that were heavily rusted and corroded. Whenever they were used, they produced an unpleasant odor, and their condition raised concerns about both safety and reliability. Overall, the property suffered from a lack of preventative maintenance and upkeep. While the cosmetic issues were frustrating, the unresolved insect problem and poor condition of the heating and cooling equipment were the most significant concerns during my time living there.

Yelpers, please read this review BEFORE even considering renting from this company…read more When I was a student in college I decided to rent from here and thought it was awesome because I was independent and living on my own. Let me tell you that renting here was the worst decision I ever made. The maintenance man had keys to all of our apartments and instead of just using his keys as required, he would steal from me and others. The theft started with my cell phone which I thought I misplaced. Then shoes and clothes went missing. At least four pairs of shoes and plenty jackets, shirts and you name it. It got so bad that while I was sleeping, I guess the maintenance guy didn't know I was there, that he opened the door and since my bed was against the door I woke up wondering what was going on. Well, it was the maintenance man accessing my apartment without my permission. I left a pair of boots in my apartment ad I ran off to class, when I came back they were gone, THAT SAME DAY! He didn't even wait. Y'all it was an awful experience, and to be honest it still scares me till this day. I lost so many valuable items , I was young and didn't know my rights so instead of calling the authorities I just let it go and lost money on so much. I wish I was smarter back then but oh well, you live and learn. I don't know if the manager, Rumana, was in on the theft but I do remember hearing another tenant, who just happened to be a student like I was, firmly telling Rumana, that her apartment is not supposed to be accessed without her permission or prior notice. Be careful renting here, please. Go somewhere else, you'll be so much safer!!! I'm praying that I can heal from this experience. Thanks for reading my review.
