It is a family-owned, nostalgic 1940s-era farm in Harrah, Oklahoma, specializing in fresh-cut…read moreChristmas trees (both choose-and-cut from the field and pre-harvested options from northern Michigan and the Pacific Northwest). They grow varieties like Balsam Fir, Black Hill Spruce, Colorado Blue Spruce, Concolor Fir, Douglas Fir, Grand Fir, Scotch Pine, and White Pine. The farm also operates as a pumpkin patch in the fall, offering pick-your-own pumpkins, corn stalks, straw bales, and fall decorations. Additional seasonal attractions include farm animals, a barrel train ride through the fields, a haystack slide, photography sessions (e.g., in the sunflower patch starting in July), free hot chocolate/cider by the fire, Santa visits (Saturdays), photos with Mia the Donkey (Sundays), wreath-making in the gift shop, and kid-friendly activities like yard games and reindeer feed mixing. It's designed for creating family traditions and memories, with complimentary tree services like shaking, drilling, wrapping, and loading. Great place to take the family.

So went for the only 3 big ones in the forest field. No tag....imagine that. Walked towards the only large trees to find a "only take pictures with these trees" sign. So we left. They had precut trees but well:....i can do that at Home Depot for way cheaper. Do not recommend if you are looking to cut a normal tree down.

The most wonderful time of the year has begun and we've been making a list of things to do since…read morethis is the first year since the dreaded pandemic that we feel safe enough to get out and about. Today was corn maze day. Both the husband and I have never been, not surprising for me but somewhat stunned that he's never experienced it. P Bar Farm's corn maze ad kept popping up on ny FB and that's how I chose it even if we may be a little old for such activity. We showed up just before noon this past Saturday and it looked like it has just started getting busy. There were children running around laughing and jumping up and down on the big float thingy-me-bob off to the side. People leaving with pumpkins tucked under their arms. Families pushing little ones in strollers. Lots of excited voices from kids. It really was such a happy place. We spent a good 30-45 minutes wandering inside the maze I would say. Found clues 1 and 2 and somehow found 6 afterwards and had to backtrack to try and find what we'd missed. Found number 4 and then gave up. Hahahahaha ... We'll have to go back next year to find 3 & 5 I guess. Lots of fun. A lovely way to create memories with the little ones as well as friends and loved ones. Go if you haven't been, don't be behind like us! Admission was $12 per person and free for 3 and under.

They have clean restrooms and concessions. And of course... the corn maze! We went during the day but we hear the haunted version at night is the real deal. Great place for everyone.

Figured I'd update this again since it's been a few years. Sorghum is still the best, no question…read moreabout it. Prices have gone up quite a bit from years past, but I did notice a lot more helpers this year so that's probably why. This years 8.5" ft tree was $155. We had a very easy time start to finish and the trees are looking much more manicured and full as opposed to years past. So basically, higher cost, but better quality all around. Here's what you need to know: *Skip the pre cut trees up front, they aren't even from Oklahoma, sneaky sneaky. *Come the weekend before thanksgiving to pretag your tree to guarantee best selection. *Bring a sawzall or similar tool when you come to cut it down or you'll have a hard time using their tired old hand saws. *Explore all the fields and have fun, but remember people are creatures of habit so some of the best trees are right up front and get walked past in pursuit of grass on the greener side. *Try to find a tree close to the outside walkways so you don't have to drag it around waiting for a helper in a cart. *Take a pic of the sold tag once paid. *Take a pic of where your tree is located and some reference pics, esp if not picking up same day. *If you're here just to take family pics, read their website as they have special dates for that. If you do this during regular hours and without buying a tree, they'll be pissed and for good reason due to the foot traffic you're blocking as well as you're standing in front of their product someone wants to buy. How this place actually works: You enter and walk the entire acreage on your own. All trees are tagged with a serial number, price and measurement. Enjoy the smells and sights, it's a beautiful place. After you find the tree you want, take the bottom half of the tag with you back up front to pay for it. They will give you a sold tag, the bottom part of the tag now with your name on it, and red ribbon to mark the tree. Make sure you get 2 tags back with one marked sold as sometimes the helpers are new and forget. You keep the third sold tag - DONT LOSE IT - and put the other tag and ribbon on your tree to mark it. You can pick up anytime after thanksgiving and take it home. Ours has always lasted at least 5 weeks so we grab ours asap. When you go to pick up, which can be the same day once paid, you just go straight to it and cut it down yourself. Bring it back up front to the crew to wrap and drill it. They have people on carts circling the acreage so you don't have to physically carry it. They also will cut it for you if you're so inclined, they also provide saws. Once it is up front, you get back in your vehicle and join the pick up line while they prep it. They have crew to tell you where to go, just drive slow and watch for them and kiddos. When it's your turn, you give them your sold ticket and they do the loading for you! It'll be wrapped and drilled for you already as well. It can be kind of intimidating if you're new, and the crew is mostly teenagers who aren't always the most informed, though they're usually always kind. But give it a try and bring LOTS of patience as it is always busy and a little chaotic at times. You won't regret it!

Don't get me wrong, the service is always fantastic. There is always someone to greet you, and ask…read moreif you need anything. Other than that, this was a sub par experience. We have been going to Sorghum for over 20 years, and stopped about 4 years ago due to the quality of the trees going down hill. We buy 4 trees as a family, with the biggest being 15'. Not only were the trees all the most we have paid in 5 years, but they did not even shake the trees when prepping them. It took longer to clean up after bringing the tree inside than it did to find it. They also told us there were plenty of 15' trees to cut ourselves and there weren't any. Pretty disappointed in what this has become, a bunch of pre cut trees, that completely takes away from the magic of what this place used to be. Needless to say, we will be taking our business back to Norman next year. Thanks.
