Great place to meet friends for a nice meal. Our friends came over from Cedar Rapids to meet us for lunch at the Quarry. They are both vegetarians and had plenty of choices here. Our server was excellent, and the food was tasty. All of us took home leftovers because the portions were very generous. My wife and I shared a pair and fig salad. That was incredible!! She had the club sandwich which she enjoyed, and I had the five meat flatbread, which was very filling. We would absolutely return here for another meal.

I went to the quarry for happy hour food and a drink. I'd say this is the best happy hour spot for food and drink, when warm out, in all of Mason City. Great vibes and it's right in the heart of the downtown. I had a small sample size of food with just the flatbread but it was good enough for me to say I'd get it again for sure.

I love this place!!! Sooo sooo good everytime. Love the vibe as well with the big seats! Definitely recommend! Always enjoy getting the trashcan nachos as I love watching the serve dump them out! They are also soo soo good, great cheese, great homemade chip, great experience!

The food was delicious and rich. The service was very helpful and generous. The ambiance was nice and peaceful. We came to visit my uncle, his wife and kids and grandkids and they recommended and took us here and I appreciate that.

Amazing!!! We are in town for graduation weekend and much to our surprise it's also band fest weekend. And we stopped in at the Quarry for some dinner with her family... It was absolutely incredible... The service was wonderful... The food is absolutely delicious... I enjoyed the Philly cheesesteak flatbread... there was plenty for me to share with the rest of the table. We had the special of the night..grilled mahi mahi tacos with a pineapple slaw.. they were delicious with the homemade chips!! Our table also enjoyed the Brussel sprouts... They were delicious... They had balsamic vinegar glaze along with Parmesan and garlic...

I REALLY wanted to like this place! It's in a Prime location in downtown Mason City, Iowa. In a quaint little outside mall area right next door to the FABULOUS Historic Park Inn which is a national treasure of a hotel built by Frank Lloyd Wright. From the outside The Quarry and Tapas Bar looks inviting. It offers plenty of outdoor seating, but we opted for inside due to the wind. They had opened for dinner at 4:00pm and we arrived about 4:30. We were sat immediately and told the chef wasn't there so they didn't know the "specials" yet but told the soup choices.... Then our server walked away... We had no idea what that meant... could we only order soup? Was the chef ever coming in? Should we wait? Soooo many questions... we waited about 10 minutes - looked through the menu - searched Yelp for other food options and finally the server came back and told us that she only meant the "head chef" wasn't there.... Ohhhhh clarity! So we ordered... a garlic chicken salad wrap, a garlic chicken open faced sandwich, and a California burger on a gluten free bun. The garlic chicken salad was good ... it was definitely garlicky.... But the California burger was not.... It was not a California burger and it was not good. The California burger is supposed to have chorizo, jalapeño aioli, pepper jack cheese, sautéed onions, and guacamole. I received a teeny 1/4 burger cut in half and placed on a giant deli roll with a slice of lettuce and tomato. I asked the server who said they didn't know what happened and that was a regular quarry burger... and walked off.... Ummmm hellloooo! That was it.. what the heck! And what the heck was I supposed to do? I finally decided I'd eat what I was given - mistake. I should have walked. At some point the server came by and told me they were making a California burger to go for me but the bill arrived but no burger.... I was then told she charged me for the quarry burger not the California burger.... Lordy! Nevermind... I'm just traveling through and I know where not to go --- The Quarry and Tapas Bar...

The Quarry was a last minute find after another restaurant in the area was closed and we had a company supper planned. They accommodated a larger party on super short notice which was awesome. We were placed in the back room which was quiet & decorative--great ambiance. The service was quick & efficient and the food was fantastic. Everyone had something different and we were all very pleased. Pictures include the trash can chicken nachos for appetizer & the Oscar (king crab & asparagus) ribeye with lemon caper spaghetti! We would highly recommend.

Had to submit a review since my fellow Yelp-ers led me here. Food was simply great. Good American fare selection and a refreshing Tito's Moscow Mule to wash it all down. We ordered the honey biscuits, trash can nachos, beet and goat cheese salad, and the Cuban sandwich. Our waitress was accommodating with the expected Midwestern kindness. We will definitely be back again.

My wife and I visited Pasta Bella on a Sunday evening around 5:00 PM. When we arrived, the…read morerestaurant was not very busy, but by the time we finished our meal, the dining room had filled up and was extremely busy--a good sign that this is a popular local favorite. One thing that stood out was how well staffed the restaurant was. Even as the dining room became busier, service never slowed down. Our waiter was friendly, attentive, and did an excellent job making sure our drinks were filled, checking on our meals, and making sure we had everything we needed throughout our visit. I ordered the Chicken Fettuccine Alfredo with a house salad, and my wife had the Chicken Florentine (without mushrooms) along with a cup of Pasta Fagioli soup. Overall, the meal was excellent. The house salad was average but a nice size, featuring lettuce, a cucumber slice, a tomato slice, and croutons. The Pasta Fagioli soup had a very good flavor and was prepared a little differently than what we're accustomed to, but we both really enjoyed it. We were also served fresh-baked Italian rolls, which were warm and delicious. The entrée portions were extremely generous. My Chicken Fettuccine Alfredo arrived piping hot, and the Alfredo sauce had a phenomenal flavor. My wife's Chicken Florentine included two chicken breasts that were well-seasoned, tender, and cooked perfectly. She thoroughly enjoyed her meal as well. We had planned to order dessert, but the portion sizes were so large that we simply didn't have room. For two dinners, soup, salad, rolls, and water to drink, our total bill was right around $40, which we felt was an excellent value for the quality and quantity of food we received. We will definitely be back and would highly recommend Pasta Bella to anyone looking for great Italian food, generous portions, attentive service, and outstanding value in Mason City.
