The material was "treated " to prevent staining however, the chairs stained with regular use. While we like the chairs, I would not pay the extra money for insurance as they denied our claim because we did not call each and every time the material stained. We purchased covers from amazon which worked to cover the chairs. My advice, don't bother with the extra charge for insurance.

It seems everyone wanted to redecorate at the same time! I started working with a designer, Joanna Tisko, last October. She helped me design an odd shaped room and guided me through the decision making process. She was able to provide and excellent design and choice of fabrics, styles and furniture pieces. She matched my new window treatments and was so careful in explaining the details of this transaction to me. We are still awaiting delivery but the kid glove treatment I have received from her and her associates has given me the reassurance I need to patiently wait for the arrival of my furniture. Last week I moved furniture around in my home, re-purposing some pieces, donating some pieces to Salvation Army Thrift Store (also a great place to shop!) all to change up the look in my decor and scale down the size. Finding one display cabinet and a gorgeous French bistro'ish table later I was happy. Of course, waking up at 3am and realizing my Ethan Allen chairs were NOT going to come close to coordinating with the perfect table, meant one more trip for the chairs the store had coordinated in a display with the table! I consigned three pieces and after not hearing whether or not they sold, contacted the store. I was told they did sell (two anyway, the third they couldn't give me an explanation what happened to it), and that a check was sent to my house. Either that was a lie (most probable) or it was lost in the mail. Either way, I never received a check. The store said they'd send another check less $35 for a stop payment on the first. Then they changed their mind and decided not to reissue a check for any amount. The figure is too small to pursue legal recourse and not worth wasting my time. But it's not so unimportant as to not raise a red flag to others.

All the bullet points that she lists on her website for how the process works with the consigner are not followed. While I was emailing her my photos of my items I found that her emails were curt with poor grammar, misspelled words, very unprofessional. I hired her delivery person who was exceptional to pick up my items and take them to her store. I never heard from her. According to the bullet points on her website, she collaborates with the consigner on the price which makes total sense. I would want to trust the judgment of somebody that is in the business of selling used furniture, however, after two days, I never heard from her. I emailed her and she said she was listing sofa for 449$, chair for 388$, I do not consider this as collaboration. When I looked at the website and saw a picture of my sofa, the price on it was 499$ ,not the price she told me in the email. I have not heard a word from her in almost 2 months, I will be reporting her to the Better Business Bureau and the attorney general. There is a paper trail in the emails, however I didn't receive any kind of receipt or agreement to sign, lazy, and a poor way to run a business. Technically there is no proof she received the goods and I do not even know if I will ever hear from her and I really don't care at this point , it's quite disconcerting as I paid $300 to have these items delivered to her shop. Since my sofa and chair are still on the featured items on the website, I am assuming that they have not sold , again minimal to no communication. She is making a lot of money with very little effort and the consigners are her bread and butter. They should be treated with respect as if not for them she would not have a business. What a horrid experience I had with Jordan's and their furniture repair/replace insurance. I bought…read morea beautiful couch at Jordan's and the insurance plan (expensive) at their urging. Unfortunately we had a bad spill and damage so they came out and said they'd repaced the couch. This was during covid and Jordan's had very limited choices for replacement. The replacement couch from Jordan's, turned out to be a lemon it's had so many issues the repair techs have been out 2-3 times so by now the wedge is bolted to the rest of the couch and we can't even move it. As to color, it was light grey, almost white but it was my only color choice during Covid, so I was glad I had the insurance because it would show every stain. Well, 4 years later, I recently noticed multiple stains on the couch and even Jordan's furniture tech agreed there were many and this was reported to Jordan's in a timely manner. Protect All required many pictures over 3 months. However, this time the decision was NO, Protect All and Jordan's won't stand behind the agreement. They will give me a credit. Wow, great. I don't think $800 is going to pay for a new couch with 4 recliners, and a wedge. So everyone, go ahead, buy expensive furniture at Jordans, even buy the insurance but if you need it more than once, forget it. Now I'm forced to look at a very expensive, spotted white couch bought during covid as an insured replacement, but neither company will honor, "repair or replace".
