I will start with how sorry I am this took so long to write. I should have done it immediately, but life got in the way. This is BY FAR our favorite pub in London. The look, the vibe the staff and of course the drinks. Everything fires on all cylinders. Adding cream to the top, they offer live music. Not just any music, but quality. Queens Head is cozy and unassuming. You feel like you know everyone there and the staff treats you like family. Frankie, Will, Katey and Nicole are all amazing. When i showed them my home bar, they immediately collected items to add to my fun. Check them out in the pic section. We just cannot say enough about this Pub. It is always the first one we go to when we get to London and the ONLY one we go to everyday are there. GO GO GO.........You will NOT regret it. read more

No children allowed?! This is pub, that serves food, in the west end. We went on a Tuesday at 12 pm, in March, and were told no children allowed. So we took our business for 5 people elsewhere. I get it if it were night time or peek hours but there was no one inside. Maybe it's so good they can pick and choose their patrons. We will never know. read more

We were walking around London and happened upon The Queens Head, and it was a good find. We started with a cheese plate (we were so hungry we didn't take a picture). My wife had a Chicken & Mushroom pie - she loved it, and I had the 10oz Ribeye steak and chips, also good. I would recommend to anyone. Great food, atmosphere and service. We had the steak pie and fish and chips.

Despite being in the heart of Piccadilly, this pub was really good! We had made a reservation since it was Saturday night, it wasn't too packed though. They had some typical London beers on tap. We started off with the cheese plate. It was delicious! It came with four cheeses, multiple crackers, tasty apple chutney and grapes. For dinner I had the fish and chips. It was really tasty. The fish was light and crispy. The chips were tasty. It was a delicious meal! I would recommend stopping by here sometime. read more

Walked in right before the dinner rush and snagged a corner area upstairs for two. The service was incredible along with the food. A pub is where I would get shepherds pie instead of a fine dining area and I believe it will taste much better at a pub type area. We found this place after a very long day of sight seeing. I'm really not one for fish and chips but the ones they serve are amazing. The beer batter is crispy & flavorful while the white fish is tender & flaky. The mushy peas sounded gross but were so good. Who knew lemon & mint could taste so good on peas. Although in the middle of a very touristic spot (Piccadilly circus), this very authentic restaurant gives you a full British experience. From the staff, the decor, and the food. Hidden few feet behind Piccadilly Circus, off Regent Street. The staff is extremely friendly and welcoming. Tried their Fish & Chips, and it was very good with a rather larger portion. The restaurant was cute and cozy, but the food was not my favorite. Although the chestnut & squash soup I had for a starter was fantastic! The portions were large and filling. I had the fish and chips. It was pretty decent and I do recommend that. My friend ordered the turkey and she wasn't in love with it. Good little spot but I don't really get why the reviews are so much better than other pubs in the general area.

AMAZING Pie & Mash! We found this little gem by exploring an alley off of the main streets of Picadilly. John, the owner, was very welcoming and friendly. I went there twice while on vacation -the second time I took my sister and she too loved her pie and mash. This is a relatively quiet pub. Even though it is in Soho, a short distance from Piccadilly, it is far enough off the beaten path that there aren't a lot of tourists or people strolling around. This is a relatively simple place. Several tables, a couple booths and a bar. They have a full bar and a decent enough selection of beers on tap. If you are in small group, i.e. you and one other person, I suggest sitting at one of the two tables up front. Nice view into the street and you can do some minor people watching. The funny thing is, I don't think they have a jukebox, just some CD player that is attached to a small set of speakers. We quite enjoyed this pub for a late lunch with kids. The starters looked great, we got the cheese and figs which was delicious. The chicken pie was a good balance of filling and flaky crust. In London for the day and after a few hours of sightseeing we decided to stop in Picadilly Square for a bite to eat. This was a cute and authentic pub...you could see the history in the building. Since I was in London I decided on Fish and Chips with mashed peas and added a side salad along side a mango and berry cider. The cider and side salad which had rocket lettuce, cherry tomatoes, and a olive oil herb dressing tasted amazing. The fish and chips were blah - very breaded and could have used some seasoning and mashed peas tasted like dish soap. Wi-fi was not so good here but the bathroom was clean. read more

My sister recommed this place. Her and her husband enjoyed it on their trip to London. Nice little place off Piccadilly. I came in one evening for dinner and the staff was very friendly and helpful. Had the homemade chicken and mushroom pie. I couldn't finish it, but it was very good along with the cider. I liked the ambiance in this place. Coming from Silicon Valley were everything is new, I loved the old world charm of this pub and the food was good too. The fish and chips, the flour fried part fell right off when we picked it up; the veggie purée is not good at all. Potato wedges are eatable. I had a very poor experience here. The Guinness was good, but the negatives were: - Massive cockroach hanging around bathroom stall - Served a cocktail in a glass that was cracked. When I informed the bartender (expecting a new drink in non-broken glass), I was looked at strangely, and then had my drink poured into another glass. Very nice bar, not too loud. There are comedy shows a few times per week and you can enjoy fresh beers, not expensive. As this bar is located just next to the theater producing the musical "GREASE", you can sometimes meet the comedians and artists of the show! read more

Excellent pub, near soho/theatre area, and is luckily slightly off the main tourist streets. First floor is the pub and 2nd floor is the restaurant. We ordered draughts and had dinner. Singapore... 'A pawwwwwww' (sung not so tunefully) Free comedy in Central London at the Queen's Head. Full of true Londoners, and the humour is London based humour through and through (also a lot about sex..). The comedy is held in a bar upstairs which is filled with many random chairs to allow a seated audience, but many were standing so it was obviously fairly popular. The Fish and Chips were probably the best we had during our stay in London (and we ate a lot of Fish and Chips). Really nice pub with amazing steak and ale pie!!!! The mash was nice and fluffy and i could hook the gravy into my veins. The servers were very nice and friendly as well. The only issue I had was that the ground floor pub section was rather small and we ended up getting a table by the door. Everytime the door opened we were freezing! Other than that, it was really great and maybe next time I'll check out the dining room upstairs instead of just hanging out in the pub-y bit. read more
