This was our first time visiting The Qui, and we were really looking forward to celebrating my birthday. We came for lunch around 4:00 p.m. on a Saturday. The restaurant wasn't very busy, so we expected attentive service, but unfortunately, it was one of the worst dining experiences we've had. Our waiter never introduced himself or even told us his name. He didn't ask everyone at the table for their drink orders, nor did he explain how the ordering process worked. Since it was our first visit, we had questions about the menu and whether we were supposed to order for the entire table or individually. Instead of helping us understand, he seemed visibly frustrated that we were asking questions. As first-time guests, we expected patience and a brief explanation--not annoyance. The overall customer service was cold and unwelcoming. We eventually asked to speak with a manager, and the waiter told us there wasn't one available, which honestly made no sense, especially during business hours. The condition of the women's restroom was also unacceptable. The floor was extremely slippery, creating a safety hazard. There was no toilet paper and no toilet seat covers available, which reflects poorly on the restaurant's attention to cleanliness and maintenance. It's unfortunate because we were genuinely excited to try The Qui and celebrate a special occasion. Great food can be overshadowed by poor service and neglected facilities, and that's exactly what happened here. We left disappointed and don't see ourselves returning unless there are significant improvements in both customer service and overall management.

We enjoy Korean BBQ and this is one of our favorite spots. Most recently, we dined on a Saturday night and the waiters were very prompt. We noticed there were two sides of the restaurant, each had 1-2 waiters/waitresses assigned per side. They seemed to be rather busy, so we were surprised by his attentiveness. The restaurant offered generous portion sizes of their meats and when we asked for a mush smaller portion than normal, just to try something new he was happy to oblige! Our favorite from here is always the spicy beef bulgogi and spicy pork belly. The new items we tried were the masala honey butter chicken- if you like Indian food, you will enjoy it! I wasn't sure what to expect but thought it was surprisingly good. My husband who is not a fan of regular Indian dishes did not care for it. We also tried the Orange beef bulgogi. Neither of us cared for this one, but if you love the taste of oranges.. you will love it! It was VERY orange tasting, we were expecting just a hint of orange. Overall we had a great experience here. Even being busy, it didn't seem loud. I will say because of how dark it is, after eating Korean BBQ does make you a bit sleepy.

This AYCE Korean BBQ place still remains one of the top options for me. Being in NOVA; KBBQ are plenty to come by. But The Qui has remained consistently good in my opinion. My last experience here was great from start to finish. The meats were seasoned just right, portions were large and stellar customer service from our waitress. What more could you ask for?

Omg!!!!! Honestly - after a 40 minute wait, not worth it!! At all. And to make matters worse, the server sucked.his name was Deurim. He was not attentive, he seemed very preoccupied, we had to flag him down constantly, and his attitude just threw me and my friend off he was not a welcoming or pleasant server. This was my first time there but my friend has been a few times and he was even appalled at the horrible service. The food quality - seemed worse than Iron Age. My friend ordered cheese corn and it was literally water and corn with a small piece of cheese that didn't melt, the steamed egg was not fresh, and as you see below the steak came with such a thick tendon down the middle and looked unappetizing. We also ordered orange bulgogi and it tasted like artificial orange and just overall WEIRD. Will not return

I remember those days when I had to drive an hour to Annandale to get really, good KBBQ at places like Kogiya. I'm glad I no longer have to drive that far! Qui is so close to me and it's as good as it gets. I have a feeling the Chateau next door and Qui are owned by the same owner because the décor here is also spectacular just like Chateau. It has its own character though. The massive pipe light work on the wall is quite an industrial statement. The best KBBQ places are set apart by the quality of their meat. I don't think you can get any better level of meat than what Qui offers except maybe Wagyu and Kobe in Japan. Qui has multiple options. An unlimited buffet option with some basic meats, another unlimited buffet option with meats plus seafood, and then a non-buffet set of selected meats. You cannot order single dishes. We always go with the basic buffet option. Beef brisket is always our first choice to ease into it. We also quite like garlic pork belly and chicken. We don't usually order chicken at a KBBQ place but the chicken here tastes quite good so we always get it at least once. Don't forget to order the side dishes too! The egg, the soup, and the rice cakes! Yum! The crowd is not predictable in my experience. Sometimes, we came on Fridays and weekends expecting an hour's wait, but there was no wait. Sometimes, an hour's wait is pretty standard. Once you get seats though, you're well taken care of because the staff works fast!

The food was great! Same with the service, one of the waiter's helped me in a awkward situation, because I was trying to say thank you to the same waiter in Korean. Ambiance was top tier, and the background music was calm and relaxed.

I'm sorry to say I haven't previously had much experience with Korean BBQ. But I'm also glad to have had dinner here as a first experience. The food was quite tasty, and the atmosphere was casual and friendly. I think our server was very new, just based on having to get answers to a couple of questions. But he also grilled and prepared all the meats for us. In fact the only "hands on" we had to do for our dinner was peeling the shrimp. The "basic" selections. The specialty cocktails were interesting and eye-appealing, but the house cocktails were made just as well and several dollars cheaper. A few things could have been better. Your table comes with an assortment of sides, which, to my pleasure, included kimchi. But it was room temperature, which to me makes it much less palatable. The standard meats can have a bit of gristle, chew, fat, etc., so you may want to spend the $$ for a premium meat to be included. Your all-you-can-eat experience is 90 minutes, and it would be nice if your server gave you a head's up about it, rather than just abruptly dropping the check on the table. But these are little things. The overall experience was quite enjoyable.

This AYCE korean bbq is right next to my house so i HAVE to try it. First of, the parking is plenty in the back but a little tight in the front of the restaurant! We were seated after 10 minutes (we stopped by for lunch) and they weren't crowded. They had maybe 2 servers when we were there. Food came out within 5 minutes but it did took them a bit to take our order. I had requested the lettuce platter and it was $5 extra . The brisket here was pretty unseasoned so make its perfect with the sauce. We also tried chicken masala and it's perfectly seasoned. AYCE price is $36 which is pretty decent! The ambiance was big and not too overwhelming and lots of space. I would recommend this place for korean bbq craving day!

Came here on a Friday evening at 7 expecting there to be at least a 30 minute wait, but it was less than 10 minutes. Service was also very friendly and prompt right as our group entered. Once we were seated, all our sauces and side dishes and a pitcher of water were already on the table which was nice. We were able to order right away and barely waited for all our meats as well. You have to request sesame oil if you want the sesame oil dip for the bbq by the way. Our server was super attentive and cooked all of our meats for us and distributed them to each person as well. Overall, our table had a great experience! Would definitely return with different groups of people too.

FOOD We had their regular AYCE option for a table of 9 right when it opened. The range of options was really good for the price range, and the 90 minute limit was a lot more than I thought. *Thin-sliced brisket: 7/10 *Beef bulgogi: 10/10, so juicy and flavorful! *Orange beef bulgogi: 3/10; juicy and flavorful but the orange aftertaste was a little too strong for me *Spicy beef bulgogi: 8/10 *Top blade steak: 7/10 *Honey butter squid: 7/10 *Shrimp: 5/10 DRINKS They have an array of soft drinks and signature cocktails available. SERVICE The staff are kind and friendly! Our server was really accommodating for not only our table but also for the myriad around us as well. AMBIANCE The high ceilings inside the restaurant make for a roomy experience. The smoke can get in your face so I did wish there was an exhaust fan by the table. PARKING Ample parking is available in the lot behind the store.

A solid favorite in the NOVA area for Korean BBQ. They give you plenty of meats, I taste like quality, they don't give a ton of fatty pieces, and the prices are reasonable. Honestly I've went to a ton of spots in the area and this is still a staple. I can't ask for better! The service is always great they're super attentive and kind. I didn't have to wait super long for a party of two. They have a lot of great deals. The inside is pretty cool. It's not fancy, it's more of a casual spot. However, I do see people come and celebrate events. I think they have different events too. My favorites: He cocktails are great The spicy bulgogi both beef and pork The top blade The honey masala butter chicken Thinly sliced brisket

My all time favorite kbbq spot is The Qui in Chantilly! The quality of meats is always very good, and I love the AYCE options! The service this time was ok, hence the 4 stars. Our waiter was very absent and we cooked all the meats ourselves. I love their banchan, with pickled onions and cucumbers, kimchi, salad with peanut sauce, pink daikon, potato salad, cold sesame broccoli ! We ordered seconds of all!! When we ordered squid, it came in a container and we were unsure how to cook it. When we asked for guidance, he looked at us strangely and told us to put it on the grill. We had it going in the container the whole time bc it looked like it would cook like cheesy corn. The ambience was good, we can closer to 5:30, and it wasn't too crowded. We didn't wait long. They do have a 90 minute dining in restriction but that was enough time to eat!

Very generation portions: Thin brisket and top blade steak

We've had plenty of bad experiences with Chinese buffet seafood making us feel sick--pretty sure I'm not the only one--but that has never happened here. The food is always freshly steamed and served hot when you order. I'm not a big fan of overly salty, heavy American-style seasoning, so I really appreciate that they can prepare it without all that. Also, my daughter doesn't eat much seafood, but they're flexible and let us order something simple like a mozzarella stick for her, which is a huge plus. Yes, there's an 18% gratuity for parties of 5 or more, but it feels fair for the quality and service. The gumbo you can order on the side is amazing, and the crab legs, mussels, clams, and shrimp are all fresh and delicious. It's $58.99 per person, which isn't cheap, but definitely worth it. Highly recommend.

But, overall enjoyed it! They give you gloves and a bib so you can dig in without worrying getting too messy. One special thing they have on the menu is their ramen side. I've never seen this at other crab boils. The ramen is so tasty in the garlic butter sauce. It was my favorite part and I kept going back for more! We ordered another platter of seafood and were stuffed! The service can be improved. Our waitress came by a few times but not enough to get refills on our drinks or other things we needed. But, overall a good experience.

The overall rating reflects the excellent service and very good food, while also taking the price point into consideration. With prices continuing to rise, patrons expect exceptional flavor across the board for those extra dollars. We were unfortunately served the branzino topped with only the Chilean garlic sauce and not the lemon caper sauce at all. The server wasn't seeming to know what to do with our dissatisfied reaction, so we decided to salvage the fish and ordered the lemon caper on the side, it tasted bland at best. Fish was fine, but unfortunately there was nothing worth mentioning positively about it for its $37 price point. *Neither sauce was worth ordering and unfortunately neither tasted how they were described, more like plain aioli. In our ignorance, we didn't realize branzino meant the whole fish would be served versus a filet. It would have been nice to have been able to read that fact on the menu prior to ordering. We ordered the truffle fries, which had probably zero amounts of truffle on them. Overcooked. We ordered the tropical mojito mocktail, and it was either poorly made or the recipe could use a complete reset. The crab stuffed mushrooms and sauce, amazing. Server, kind. We were asking quite a few questions of him, trying to decide between the Chilean with lobster or the branzino, which showed our ignorance in the fish choices, I believe. A good server would have picked up on this, and went into a much more detailed explanation of both dishes to educate and inform us on making the right decision. So I think it's pretty accurate to say that a good majority of the problems we had could have been salvaged had he been a little more seasoned at reading the individual needs of his customers. Although, with ordering either of these entrees or the truffle fries, we would have been disappointed as the flavor was just not there. Being out of towners used to seafood from California, we were excited to try a new place on the east coast. I read multiple positive reviews from other customers, and unfortunately we are leaving disappointed in the $80 spent. We joked that perhaps the usual chef called in sick and the bus boy took his place. Underwhelming. Overcooked. Bland. But, they had pretty tables.

Like Trios, but even better. Get ready for a bunch of superlatives…read more.. This place has some similarities to Trios in Merrifield. Both Heirloom and Trios are attached to--and share a kitchen with--a Roadhouse Grill, and all of them are owned by the same parent company. However, Heirloom is much smaller, which I suspect makes it easier to control quality. Based on my experiences--one visit here and many visits to Trios over the years--the quality of just about everything is better at Heirloom. My meal consisted of their Smoked Manhattan, the Burrata salad, and the Heirloom Burger. (The burger was so good that they named the restaurant after it!) The Manhattan was one of the best Manhattans I've ever had. It had a wonderfully mellow, balanced flavor that edged toward sweet, despite being made with rye. Maybe it was the aroma--and eventual taste--of the large toasted marshmallow suspended over my glass where the cherry would normally go? I guess, to be sure, I'll have to go back and order another. The Burrata did what all great burratas do: each bite felt like a mouthful of sunshine. The cheese, tomatoes, arugula, and balsamic vinaigrette combined to create pure culinary happiness. The only better burrata I can recall was at Mikrolimano in Athens. However, once you factor in travel time and parking, Heirloom is definitely the better value. The Heirloom Burger was absolutely delicious. This past week I've been waxing poetic about burgers because one of the Hackney's restaurants back home is closing after 70 years, so emotionally, I'm not prepared to bestow any new burger honors just yet. However, check back in a few weeks, and you may very well see this review updated to say that the Heirloom Burger was one of the best burgers I've ever had. Other logistics... The service was OUTSTANDING. We were seated right at our reservation time, greeted warmly by several staff members, and waited on nearly hand and foot by Alex. She explained the menu, helped us select our beverages, and made sure everything ran smoothly throughout the meal. It was attentive service without ever feeling intrusive. Parking is free after 5 and on weekends in a multi-story garage about half a block away. Happy hour is 5-7. They call Heirloom a speakeasy, but it feels more like a small restaurant with an eight-stool bar and a few high-tops. It's intimate compared with the Roadhouse, but not exactly speakeasy-intimate. And, finally, Heirloom is inside Roadhouse. You walk down a hallway, turn left into a very short hallway, open an unmarked door, and then go through a second door marked only by a red rose on the handle. I suspect the obscure entrance is their justification for calling it a speakeasy. But with food and service this good, they can call it whatever they like.

A hidden gem in Reston! Service was awesome! Our waitress was really nice and she made some good recommendations for drinks. We don't have to wait long for anything.

The answer is ... nowhere but California Fish Grill! Their menu is super varied so it is one of the few fast casual places that our entire family can enjoy. Husband goes for the protein bowls, kiddos go for the battered fish / chicken tenders, and I love the grilled rockfish, cauliflower mash, and extra crispy/seasoned fries. We took our in laws here and they loved it so much that they ended up going back the next day by themselves. Service is super friendly as well. I've passed by and seen this place for the last 15-odd years but this my first try. There's not much ambiance. But the place is clean, well-lit, and there was some smooth jazz coming out of the speakers. There are about 6 tables inside. I ordered the fish sampler platter with mashed potatoes and gravy, and mac and cheese. I also ordered three jumbo chicken wings. The sampler platter came with three breaded and fried fillets. According to the menu, they were whiting, trout and "catfish (swai)". I couldn't definitively tell which was which, but I think the whiting and trout were the thinnest. One of those, perhaps the whiting, had a distinct fishy taste. What I assume to be the swai was thicker and quite mild and tasty. The batter on all three was crispy and had a bit of salt in it. I did find about three pin bones across all the pieces, so be careful. A note on swai: this is an Asian species completely different than any real catfish species. There is an FDA law that says it cannot be labeled as catfish. This is why I believe it's listed the way it is on the menu. Read up on swai and make your own determination. For me, it's tasty, and I'll probably return to Dave's in the future to get an order of just that. The fish came with a small container of tartar sauce. The mac and cheese was average. It's possibly from a box, but still good. The mashed potatoes were smooth and creamy. Also possibly from a box. But, combined with the gravy (probably from a packet mix), it brought back to me fond memories of 1980s elementary school lunches. Those mashed potatoes and gravy were the bestest! (Pizza slices sucked, but pizza boats were great; hamburgers sucked, but Salisbury steak was great.) The jumbo chicken wings were huge! Each one is the uncut whole wing -- tip, flat, and drumette. So an order of three is like ordering six regular "wings". They included a small container of their special mombo sauce, and an even smaller container of hot sauce which was very close in flavor to Crystal hot sauce. The mombo sauce was fine. It was slightly sweet, slightly spicy, but not really mouth-poppingly fantastic. The wings were super crispy and meltingly hot -- so much so that the takeout container was a bit melted and warped in some spots. No one said this was healthy. But was it good? Yeah, it was good. Eat here when your better half (and likely better eater) is out of town. Also, call your order in ahead if you can because it took a good 15 minutes to prepare.
