Restaurant space is wide and open. There were two servers, so when more customers came in, they were slow in servicing tables, let alone coming around to check up on us. We've been before and thought service was better, same wait staff. Pajeon was tasty, yet it didn't stay together. When we tried to pick up a slice, it all fell apart. Rose thukbokki - sauce was good, used it to dip chicken, rice cakes were chewy too. "Old Fashion" chicken came out hot and juicy. Definitely recommend this item. The combo chicken wings, similar to other places. So nothing special. Onion rings - sauce was spicy and good. Onion ring itself could have been better. The most disappointing experience I've ever had at a restaurant. When my husband and I entered, we noticed there were only two groups already seated. We were also table to be seated immediately. However, it took quite some time for us to place our order, even though the restaurant was not busy at all. I heard the owner of the restaurant came out to advise the server to take the order. The server first attended to the second table before finally coming to us. I requested a cup of water along with a pint of beer. And I witnessed her take a cup of iced water from the second table and pour the water that had already been served back into the serving pitcher. She then grabbed another cup with ice and served the water from that serving pitcher to me. I couldn't believe what I was seeing. This was tap water being recycled from another table. Even if the food was great, I have no intention of returning. I can't trust a restaurant who would do such things. read more

I got this to go so I can't really say much about the ambiance. I got a pack of 10 wings half drumsticks and half flats in the soy garlic flavor. I was expecting to get the normal sized ones you get when you go to any other wing place. Boy did Chi Mc exceed my expectations and I was pleasantly surprised. Not only were some of the drumsticks the literal size of my hand, but the breading was thick and super crunchy! The chicken on the inside was cooked and moist, and the flavor was an interesting tangy and sweet combo. I also ordered their ranch sauce for the side and got about 5 of them thinking I'd need them as most places skimp on the sauce even when paying for more. They gave me an entire soup container filled with ranch! They definitely give you your money's worth, and with the chicken portions too. The wings were $17 and since only one of the drumsticks were enough to fill me up I'd say it was well worth it. Only thing I could say is I wish they had more flavors than just the soy garlic and the spicy sauce because the chicken flavor I was expecting was more of a savory flavor, like a true garlic, but their soy garlic is too sweet for me, and spicy is ok, but I'd like to see more of a variety of flavors in the future. They had several other menu items from your typical beer food like onion rings and mozzarella sticks along with a whole two pages of Korean dishes to try. I'll definitely come back to try some other dishes in the future given the flavor, portion sizes, price and customer service. TL;DR: Good Korean Fried Chicken, but has lots of other dishes/options I haven't been to Chi Mc for over 10 years, but we tried the newer Centreville location over the summer. Interior is very cute - dark lighting, string lights, etc. They have plenty of tables, but also a bar area with TVs to enjoy a game. Service is always friendly, but at times they can be understaffed, so be patient. Food comes out quickly, except the fried chicken which they preface will take about 20 minutes, since it's made to order. FOOD: ~Fries (5/5): nice and crispy; very well seasoned. Comes with ketchup and spicy mayo ~Fried Chicken (5/5): 2 Flavors: Soy Garlic or Spicy - both flavorful; ~~2 types: wings (typically wings/drumettes) or drums (giant drumstick) ~~We like the wings (the drums are too large and doesn't absorb as much flavor). It is so crispy and has a good amount of meat on it ~Tteokbokki (4.5/5): One of my favorite tteokbokkis in the area. Comes with dumplings and gimmari (but they get soggy fast). I add ramen noodles too. The sauce is usually a good consistency, but at times it is a little watery ~Maneul dakddongjip (2/5): chicken gizzards. It was just okay. Gizzards are meant to be chewy, but these were a little too much/kind of burnt. The flavor was a little lacking, and the dish was overall very greasy ~Chicken katsu with cream udon (5/5): The katsu was surprisingly really good, though non-traditional. Reminded me of country fried steak breading. The cream udon was very good. Udon was cooked nicely with great chew. The sauce had a lot of garlic flavor and wasn't too rich from all the cream. I've been to Chi Mc twice now both on Friday nights, and the chicken always hits! Sometimes it is really crowded and we have to wait for a table, but this past time, it was fairly empty. The chicken wings are so so good! It is probably one of my top Korean fried chicken spots. It has such a good crunch! Pro tip: if you enjoy extra spice, ask for a side of their spicy sauce it just gives it an extra kick! It's not too spicy but it's addicting that you want to keep dipping chicken in! I was a little surprised to see that they don't carry that many wing flavors. We got the bulgogi quesadilla as appetizer, and got the 20 soy garlic wings. The bulgogi quesadilla was pretty good but the wings were DELICIOUS! They were probably one of the crispiest wings I've ever had. The only downside was that the food took a long time to come out. I used to go to Bonchon for this but stopped awhile ago because of Bonchon's lack of reliability and rising prices. Chi Mc's chicken is like Bonchon when Bonchon is good. Really crispy, really flavorful, and not oversauced. And the price per wing is slightly cheaper. The order came with a side container of pickled radish which offered a sweet and tangy foil to the salt and savory of the chicken. Chi Mc has finally arrived in Centreville! I didn't have the opportunity to try out their Chantilly location, sadly, so i'm glad that they found a new spot. This location takes over the old TapEx/Heo Tea spot in the Centreville Square II shopping plaza. The fried chicken is SO crunchy and flavorful! It came out piping hot and fresh. I got the medium order of drums and wings with half soy, half spicy. Spicy was my favorite. It was more than enough for two people. I also ordered the mandu which was crispy (pan fried) and served with a delicious sauce. The ambiance of this place is nice -- not too loud, and with a lot of tables. Service was great. I have been to multiple Chi Mc locations, but the decor and style of this restaurant is the nicest. We went out to dinner mid week and there was just one other table in use. The staff was extremely attentive and responsive to requests for rice, refills, etc. We ordered the Kielbasa, a salad with their Asian house dressing, soy garlic drumsticks and tenders. Everything was delicious and the chicken was piping hot and extra crispy with that sweet/salty soy garlic sauce. The server brought us way more chicken tenders than we ordered, which we brought home leftovers. My kids are huge fans of the kielbasa as are my husband and I. The salad should not be slept on.
