I've been a customer ever since the store opened in Riverton Utah. I have purchased 4 expensive machines and quilting frames from there. As well as other merchandise The last 2 managers have been rude. I ordered a new carriage for my quilting frame 24 days ago. I stopped by to see if it was in. That was Friday and that it was going to be picked up and ready Monday. They would call me. No call. Monday I needed something for the project I was working on I asked while I was there if by chance that it was there "I TOLD YOU THAT I WOULD CALL YOU" I CALLED Gracie where house. One was picked up Friday. There is no excuse for rudeness. I've been a loyal customer. I'll not go back until they get a new manager. read more

Almost every time I go into the Riverton Nuttalls store I get great educated answers to my machine and sewing concerns. The people are helpful and pleasant. I love their fabrics, notions, and machines. Their technicians are honest and do a great job on my machine, Bernina, Brother and Serger. read more

I purchased a more affordable sewing machine and was treated rude for not getting a reaL one. i was quite surprised at the snobbery in this and how much sarcasm I've dealt with when trying to get help when I'm told if I had a better machine as if I don't know what I'm doing because I got a cheaper machine. I do know what I'm doing I didn't want to spend so much money. they tend to be very narrow minded and unkind when you don't buy their high end material and don't consider you a good enough customer. very very disappointing! read more

I wanted a new minky blanket for Christmas, but unfortunately, didn't have the budget for the expensive ones you buy in couture stores. Luckily, I saw a video on Nuttall's FB page of (I think it was) Denise making her own minky blanket! My mind was blown. Could I do it all by myself? With Denise's guidance, I knew the answer was Yes! I went to the store and there she was...Denise! I was fan-girling a little. She helped me pick out the cutest fabric, then cut it for me. She even used a fancy vacuum on it to make sure it didn't shed everywhere! When I got home, I watched the video, made the blanket, and ate a Rice Krispie treat while I watched my favorite movie. Clean and organized store with a large selection of fabrics, notions, tools, and machines. Price point on most items is slightly higher than 'chain' stores, but you pay for quality. They offer a variety of classes, majority of which are quilting/embroidery related. Would love to see more offerings (classes and merchandise ) around apparel construction. read more

I would never recommend sending anyone to this company. After spending 6000.00 here in under a year the first machine was dropped off for service. I received the machine back and it is missing parts. I have inquired about them multiple times and still no resolution. While this one was in for service I purchased another machine for over 4k have had the machine for about 2 months and and have had nothing but problems with it. Spoke with the manufacture customer service they advised me to take it back to the store as they were a certified repair center. I took the machine to them with testing products that I create with the machine they said there was nothing wrong with the machine. I took the machine home and less than 30 minutes the machine started to show the same symptoms that I took it in for. Their return policy is 2 days and when asking to see what they could do for me they stated that they would be willing to exchange it but could not give me what I paid for it. IT IS LESS THAN 2 MONTHS OLD. THey then proceeded to tell me that I had to buy specific brands of needles and thread for the machine to work. After spending another 50.00 on certain thread and needles and following their instructions same issues keep occuring. I should have spent my money elsewhere after this type of service and the amount that was spent. read more

I have never worked with a staff member that has been as caring and helpful than Chad in the sewing center at Nuttals. My sister purchased a machine that I wondered if I could upgrade up to. Well, if I had bought my machine at Nuttals I would be able to. I had purchased mine at another business. He was willing to call this other business to help me talk to them about an upgrade. He was going out of his way to help me upgrade to another machine from a competitor. This shows me that he truly cares about the person, not the commission. Can I give NO STAR? I sent my sewing machine in for repair and asked for a call with a quote before work would begin. I got a call with a quote of $250 but I agreed to that amount. Then my machine proceeded to be "lost"... FINALLY 3 months later the machine is ready for pick up. However the cost is $425!!!!! I would have never agreed to the repair if I knew it was this much. I'm very disappointed in the Repair Shop. If you are asked for a quote it should include parts AND labor. I will make sure my entire Quilting Guild and friends don't send their business to this Sewing Repair Center. read more
