Walking in you feel like you are walking into a spa. A small business but well laid out with 5 nice sized rooms. The beds are all heated so even in the middle of winter you won't feel like you are laying down on a cold blanket. The massage therapist I booked - Amita - was amazing. She was checking to ensure the pressure she was using was good because I was quite injured.... My daughter didn't notice anything because apparently she ended up so relaxed despite her injury she feel asleep during her massage! I guess that's a sign the pressure is fine! Near the end Amita uses an amazing cooling massage oil. While she doesn't do pressure sales at all the oil is for sale in the clinic which I appreciate. After she gave me the opportunity to book straight away with her or to leave it and book at later time use her online booking system (which is how I had initially booked). It was so easy to use so I'm just going to do that again when it fits into my schedule but don't worry I'll be back and so should you.

I am rating this clinic based solely on Angelina, an RMT (registered massage therapist) who works at this clinic. I have no experience with any of the chiropractors or other staff so cannot speak to them at all. Angelina used to work at another clinic and moved to Ellerslie, and I followed her there. I don't go regularly but usually I make an appointment when I've thrown out my upper or lower back. She works absolute miracles. She is one of the best - if not THE best - I have ever had. The pressure is just perfect - deep (but not painful). She seems to know exactly where to work to make things better, and she does not just work that area but areas close that may be affecting it as well. It is calming and relaxing and she has a heated bed which is clean and comfortable. She chats at the beginning of the massage, to make small talk and see how you are doing, but then works quietly so you can relax. Prices are in keeping with the current going rates for registered massage therapists and can be covered if you have insurance/extended health plan. Above all, she is kind, friendly, and totally professional and respectful, so it really is a treat to go and see her. Although my back is feeling better (as usual after I see her), this time I booked again for another massage to give myself a treat. My son plays a lot of sports, along with several extreme sports, and along with his growth spurts, things get out of whack. He has seen Fiona for physio and she takes the time to perform a solid assessment of what's happening. She explains it and then explains treatment. She's very patient with my inquisitive son and it always feels as though the recommended number of treatments is what I anticipate. I've been to some that it feels like they are just ensuring future revenue and suggest too many sessions (I could be wrong though to be fair) My husband has RSI and as a computer programmer, he is VERY particular about how works on his back and shoulders. He sees Erin for massage therapy and is always amazed at how good of a job she does. After a couple of sessions the first time he went in, he was floored at how well his arms/shoulders were feeling. She does deep tissue massage and knows the body extremely well. I personally have used Erin for massage therapy and acupuncture. I was going through a lot of emotional issues and if it hadn't been for her, I probably would be sitting in a corner and rocking... She did acupuncture to help with emotional stability and made a believer out of me for acupuncture. She also has given me massages to help with my headaches (stress related). Now let's talk about the front desk... A level of understanding of insurance and billing won't be found elsewhere! I have frequent issues with my upper back and neck due to orthodontic work that puts a lot of strain on my jaw muscles...which then puts a lot of strain on my neck muscles....which then puts a lot of strain on my back muscles...which then.....I think you can see where I am going with this! The therapists at Pure have helped me out on more than one occasion. They can offer various kinds of massage - relaxing, pre-natal, deep tissue, and Alanna in particular can teach you a thing or two about infant massage! They also offer personal training and TXR training. You can follow them on Twitter and Facebook which I much prefer to spamming my inbox with deals! Their prices are also very reasonable and they can do direct billing with some insurance providers. They are also often trying to help out the local community. For example, this month, they are offering 10$ off any massage with a donation to the Stollery. I know they have also done food bank donations before as well in exchange for discounted massage.
