Recently new to the pickleball world, and wanted to speak with someone about different paddles amongst a sea of different brands. Doing research online can be a little skewed because many people are sponsored by certain companies. So we found this place on Yelp. We were greeted with amazing customer service and his name was Howard S. He was able to explain the different paddles and sizes and shapes very detailed oriented, which helped me dial in and choose a paddle that I wanted. So I went with the joola 4 and I played with it the same day, I'm so happy with the choice that I made. The other amazing thing that Howard did for us, he was able to wrap the handle with some over wrap. Honestly, there's plenty of stores that sells paddles but not every store has 10/10 customer service and I highly recommend buying from Howard and supporting small businesses.

I came to The Rally Shop for their grand opening in Anaheim. I was super excited because my boyfriend and I are into Badminton, Tennis, and Pickleball- and this place has everything! The store was super clean and had neon purple lights on the wall. I loved the layout of the store and rackets. The staff was very knowledgeable and welcoming. Howard was super attentive to our needs. Great spot if you are seeking expert advice and great quality equipment. They even offer professional racket stringing services in their store! You can even customize your own color preference. There is a large parking lot which makes it stress free to come in. Pricing is great too if you're not planning on spending too much. You get what you pay for in quality and the selections are plentiful. Will be coming back soon!

I've stopped by The Rally Shop twice now. It's a small, locally owned store that carries a diverse selection of gear for tennis Rackets, badminton, or pickleball from all the top brands. They also have the accessories you'll need like grip tape, tennis bags, and badminton shoes, plus they offer badminton and tennis restringing in store as well. They've got the best selection on display and you can touch and feel the rackets and grips that you might want to buy. Came in for a pickleball paddle and some balls, and left with exactly what I needed. Support local! They definitely know their stuff and clearly love the game.

    My new paddle

Went in with zero knowledge of how to pick out a pickleball paddle and left with the perfect one for me. The gentleman took his time to show me different paddles and showed me how to understand what would work best for me. Definitely going back!

They kids game have improved and as long as the kids still like to come and play with Mike and Barbara, I will continue bringing them. We are happy customers. I have actually started taking lessons myself with both coaches as time permits, I played some Tennis in my younger years but with no formal training. Let me tell you that my game has improved, they managed to correct many of my bad habits and I now started to enjoy the game more. One last note, it takes years to play Tennis good, and takes patience and persistence to master it. Coaches like Mike and Barbara will help you indeed, but the player (and his family if s/he is a kid) needs to have it in them. The coach is not a magician. Good luck everyone.

He teaches out of his backyard court in Yorba Linda, which is honestly awesome -- super close for me, private, quiet, and just a great environment to actually focus. What I like most is his coaching style. Scott doesn't give those vague, generic "rotate more" or "use your legs" comments that don't actually help. His feedback is specific, actionable, and something I can implement on the very next ball. He adapts to how I hit instead of forcing a one‑size‑fits‑all technique. My backhand has never been my best shot, and I'm not pretending it's suddenly my favorite shot-- but I could feel improvement right away. He also got me rethinking my forehand swing path in a way that's already giving me more consistency, which is exactly what I need to build a reliable rally ball for doubles and get my fitness back up. Scott's just a genuinely nice guy too. Easy to talk to, easy to work with, and zero ego. If you're trying to get back into tennis or level up your game, I highly recommend him.
