After meeting in person at our condo and walking through what we were looking for, we asked if he knew anyone who could do mirror closets. We weren't planning on asking him and just wanted to see if he knew a guy - but of course - HE was the guy. After our meeting, Greg put together a very detailed quote and plan for cabinets and countertops, complete with very nice digital sketches/outlines, and mirror closets for master and bedroom. The quote was made so we could remove any items as needed and could see the price we'd pay. Very easy to follow. We went with countertops and mirror closets, plus demo of old closets, old countertops and demo of this random mirror/cabinet set in our condo. He also worked with us on our budget and understood what we could not move forward with. This meant a lot to us as first time homeowners. Once he got to work, I remembered a few other items that we could need and once again asked Greg if he'd be able to do it and of course, he said yes. We needed a mantel removed from above our fireplace and we wanted to replace our bathroom mirrors with new mirrors. He happily added those to our list of requests. Greg is very flexible and also was like a mentor to us. He was honest about the things we could do on our own to save money. He also discovered a few broken valves that our inspector missed and helped us fix those as well. After he was done with our services, he has checked up on us and given advice when we noticed our hot water wasn't working. He also offered to come take a look if we couldn't figure it out. This is outside of the scope of his service! But with his advice and direction, we were able to figure it out. We are grateful to have met Greg - a smart, professional and quick worker, PLUS an overall great person. We will gladly recommend him to all of our friends and family who are looking for home renovations.

Greg was 1 of 3 to respond right away. The two others that responded right away gave me quick bids of $300-400$. I asked them "isn't that a little high for one hours work.... I'm in construction myself and know what this type of job takes." They basically agreed to re-negotiate but I was so turned off I didn't care to deal with them, as Greg already agreed to do it for his $150 minimum. He was a really nice guy so I ended up hanging out with him and watching him work because I'm weird like that And like to learn. I learned about his experience in construction and how he is launching into a new phase with some high-tech laser machinery. We laughed at his dilemma: "should I focus on cabinetry or advertising and signage." I told him him idk but I'll include it in the Yelp review. Lol. So yeah Greg is honest and reliable and gave me the fairest deal. He's got some crazy lasers now and will do your job probably for a very good deal because that is going to cut down the cost of production tremendously (I'm assuming). So give him a call eh? Edit: When Greg bid the job I only showed him the one big chip. There was actually 2 other small chips. Greg did not mention this at all and did all three no questions asked. We had Rick from solid rock handyman services install a deck railing for us in April 2023. He was…read morerecommended by our real estate agent that we have good success with their previous recommendations over the years. Rick came out and showed us photos of his work on his phone. The photos looked good and he was pleasant to talk with. We agreed to hire him to build our railing thinking we were going to receive a quality and professional job. Unfortunately that is not what we got (see photos). The railing has multiple issues from split wood to different size pieces, two different colored screws and crooked gates. I asked Rick to come out and address the issues and he did come out to take a look. He said he would raise the bottom rail to fix the issue on part of the slats but then I would have a bottom rail that is higher in some areas and not level at all, so fix one issue by causing another issue is his idea of quality work. He would fix the gate as he noted he used warped wood to build them. He came back a few weeks later on memorial day which he picked so I canceled my plans so we could finally put this project to bed.. When he showed up he didn't have all the supplies he needed and didn't even have the correct supplies at that. I told him to come back with the proper materials. He clearly has no attention to detail and is not interested in fixing the project the right way, instead trying to take any short cut possible. Later that day after he left I ended up sending an email asking for him to fix the project by starting over which he even brought up when i was showing him all the issues instead of trying to put a bandaid on everything. Or provide us a refund and we will hire someone else. Rick's response was he was not going to fix anything now. He is not returning my phone call now either. Sadly we trusted Rick and we got burned. It was a very expensive lesson learned and took us a long time to save up the money and unfortunately will cost us even more money to fix the project. With spending almost $10k on railing we thought we were getting a quality product which is disappointing that we are now out the money and will have to spend more money to fix a railing that we should not have to do. I can not recommend Rick with Solid Rock Handyman Services. The lack of attention to detail from installing split wood, to different colored screws, and warped gates that don't latch properly i would never have him do work on property again sense he does not stand behind his work. I encourage you to look for a different handyman if you are in the need for one. Rick with Solid Rock Handyman is not someone I would ever use based on our personal experience.

He quickly determined that the job I was wanting to do would require an electrician and because of that I decided to not officially do it.
