    Move-in day: Downstairs bathroom

    The end of January 2017 brought good things: moving out of the rental we'd been at for almost two years. Yipee! I'll just be touching on the major low-lights keeping this as short as possible. You'll get to look at the photos and decide for yourself. Gotta say, you're lucky there are so many reviews as of today. When I researched rental agencies in Olympia, there was only one review for The Rants Group. *Rental contract was missing pages. We inquired if there were inventory pages for the "living room, kitchen and family room", but nobody at the office could find them. They agreed that they did not exist. Nothing was done about that. We typed up our own list. Real professionals at work here. *The rental was filthy on move in day. We had been assured that everything would be cleaned before we took possession. I complained and Mister McQ told us that "the maid didn't do as good a job as she could have". Um, maid? There was one? - In case you read this and you are said maid: either you do not know what clean looks like, or you were never at Delores Drive. - Before the furniture arrived, I used our $35 dirt devil vacuum. It was pretty grim what I was able to vacuum out of the so called "chemically cleaned carpet". As an *ahem* curtesy, I was even emailed an invoice by Mr. McQ which showed a charge from Heaven's Best. 'Proof' of carpet cleaning? Ugh. If they really did something inside that house, I would not recommend them either. *We had to pressure Mr.McQ to get an electrician to the house and repair numerous electrical outlets before we moved in. *The garage door did not have safety sensors installed. This house stood empty for several months before it was rented to me and my husband. There is no excuse for not taking care of these issues before the new renters move in. In conclusion: We may be "just renters" and small fish in the big Rant's Group pond, but if I can't trust someone with small stuff, how would I trust him with big stuff? The only other person we had regular contact with was Romy and she is super! She is professional, helpful and very capable. Thank you Romy! Adieu Mr. McQ et bon voyage! It's been...ugh, real snarky... As for Yelp... it is worth pointing out that most of the one star reviews have been transferred to the "not currently recommended" section. Interesting, no?

    This list provided is not due to an unhappy person. It's due to their neglect. It's a.PSA…read moreANNOUNCEMENT.! The issues are falling on deaf ears! I have matters that are NOT being addressed. However another homeowner made a false claim needing AN EMERGENCY ROOF REPLACEMENT who replacement was completed within two weeks of the assessment ! She's a privileged character . Or you would call it selective enforcement of the covenants! series issue in the attic with TOXIC MOLD that's compromising my health. And the health of my neighbors who is a 78-year-old woman that's disabled ! They need to leave her alone !!! REIS OVER LOOKED THE REPAIRS then involved themselves into a roof repair request dating back to 2016 I refused to pay my dues at homeowners association meeting in front of the board because they refused to reimburse me well. The property management firm took it upon themselves to get involved and they turned my account over to an aggressive collections attorney with threatening language in the letter. Also the threat of initiating eating for closure proceedings. As far as I'm concerned, the property manager firm does not have a dog in this fight. It's unethical I had to pay over $3000 and I'm owed $4000 from the HOA. The whole problem is personality conflicts I don't like them and they don't like me. They're necessary evil I paid dues to them at the same time they have if I do responsibility to take care of the maintenance on this property, I'm not asking for special treatment. I'm asking for a decent home to live in where I can live and BREATHE , I'm sick. My pets are getting sick and the executive assistant is less than kind. She treats me as though I'm a tenant and not a homeowner. I resent that. What makes it worse is I had a deep respect for the owner of the property management company. I didn't request Don Campbell he was assigned. He knuckles under the homeowner. Apparently they're not bound by the code of ethics. They had a homeowners meeting to discuss the assessment because they were depleting funds from our account to benefit this woman. He claimed that there was a quorum you cannot have a quorum with one owner in attendance. They failed to give me the Zoom link so that I could attend attend. I feel as though that was intentional. The woman is holding a grudge. It first started with doggy waste bags on her lawn. She insisted that they were mine because she buys green ones that went back-and-forth. I don't understand why I even participated my final comment with her is they're not mine have them fingerprinted and prove who they belong to instead of simply picking them up and throwing them in the trash, empty bags mind
