Best Western - Jacksonville…read more Guests beware what rooms you get and towels, too. A lot of cutting corners for this family owned business. When I first arrived at the lobby the Indian lady that was checking me in, had no customer service, with attitude. As I presented her with my driver license to check in, I let her know, "I made two separate reservations for King Room and would like to stay in the same room without checking out the next morning." While she was looking for my reservation, she found my first reservation but said, "I don't see your second reservation." I presented her with proof of my email confirmation and booking confirmation, from two weeks ago. She persisted being rude and said, "I can't check you in for your second night till I get confirmation." During all this time, I was hearing loud laughs and conversations in another room - it was her family members. One of them came by to assist and magically, they found my second reservation. Once I finally checked into my room, 20 minutes later, the room looked pleasing to the eyes. The bed was comfortable and shower was good with great shower head pressure. Until, I started using the towels. The towels had human hair and light green stains on it. You can tell the towels are old and the family owned business are cutting corners. The towel rack had visible rust and or mold on it. Not exactly how you want to start your morning. The first morning I went downstairs to their main lobby to get breakfast, I stopped by front desk and asked, Nathan, "I'm leaving for the day, can you have someone put fresh towels in my room because the ones I had yesterday had stains and hair on it? Thank you, and they don't have to clean my room." Nathan was very friendly and professional. I would give him 5 Stars. The second morning, he even assisted other guests with breakfast. Breakfast was mediocre for this Best Western. I've had better breakfast at cheaper competitors. They used tissues for napkins. Eggs, on tray warmer, had visible grey stains. The tables and chairs were visibly old and worn out. Their bagels tasted rubbery, may have been expired. Only thing good about their breakfast was their sausage patties and yogurt. A lot of cutting corners for this family owned business. Guests beware of what you get.

The front desk lady was very kind and helpful after the mess I dealt with at the quality inn next…read moredoor. We were able to get two rooms conjoined for me and my kids. She made this stay so much better. The breakfast was sufficient. Eggs, sausage, waffles, biscuits and gravy. My kids enjoyed it. I would recommend this over the quality inn any day! The only reason I gave it a 4 instead of a 5, the pool was not clean and looks like it needed to be filled so we didn't use it. But other than that the stay was great!

First of all you need to remember that is is a cut-rate cheap place to stay. If you hold this place…read moreto the same standard as a Holiday Inn, that's not a fair review. I stayed there while on the road from Texas to Missouri. I checked in late and all I was looking for was a clean bed. For the price, I was very pleased. That doesn't mean this place was perfect. It was a clean no smoking room with a comfortable bed. That alone made me happy. The staff was nice and I had no major issues. It was worth the price. Now for their needed improvement areas. The TV although flat screen, did not have HD or movie channels. The furniture, carpet, and drapes were not new. This was not a super modern place, but it was functional. The shower curtain was mildewed, I didn't notice it until the morning as i was getting ready to leave. The worst thing in the room was the water in the shower. After setting the shower on a nice and warm setting, about every 1/2 minute there came a rush of very, very, very hot water. Sometimes i think these cheap hotels do this on purpose so you won't take long showers and increase their water bill. Anyway, beware of this, it can be a shocker. My last comment was that for a clean room, clean bed it was okay. If you want something better, then go pay an extra $40-$50 dollars a night and get what you want.

The property is cool(it's getting hot already) and clean,…read more The rooms are spacious and well maintained. They offer breakfast and have a staffed front desk owned/operated by a family. The water pressure in the shower was a bit low and the tub showed visible signs of wear and tear, as the finish was damaged

Stayed Jan 2025 | AAA Booking…read more I booked this hotel through AAA and had stayed here once before with no issues. Unfortunately, this time was different. I was checked into a room that I later learned was marked "out of service," but that note was apparently missed by the front desk. After unloading two full carts of belongings following a 14-hour drive, I discovered that: The bathroom sink was clogged and filled with dirty water The toilet was not clean The main door had a visible crack, compromising privacy I took photos of the conditions and immediately reported the issue to the front desk. While the staff member was polite, no refund or discount could be offered, and I was not offered a different room. Due to exhaustion and the difficulty of moving all my things again, I stayed in the room overnight. The next morning, I was referred to the owner by staff for any resolution. Despite multiple attempts to contact the owner by phone and email, I received no reply. I later filed a dispute with my credit card company, which was denied after the hotel claimed I had been offered another room -- a claim that does not reflect my experience. I've submitted a formal complaint to AAA as this hotel is listed as a recommended property. My hope is that this review helps others make an informed decision.
