Had lunch here today with the family... Pros- food was tasty. There were plenty of seats, both shaded and in the sun. Very dog friendly...including ours, there were 4 dogs in total. It's also in a cool location, several other eateries and drink spots to check out. We had 2 super burritos that were customized (one no sour cream, one no beans, both with 2 meats. The crispy beef tacos (fam favorite), and a fish taco (too spicy for me!), oh and chips and salsa. Cons- the super burritos were supposed to come with guacamole, but neither did. Didn't think about it until my son asked, but we were pretty much done eating at that point. We also had to pay for chips and salsa. Never a fan of that. The bag of chips and the salsa containers were also small. If you're going to charge, you should make it worth it for the customer(s). With tip, it was just over $70 bucks in total. Overall we all enjoyed our meal. Next time I'll look for the guacamole earlier, to make sure we get it! The location is near my son's place, so we will likely be back! read more

It's a food truck across the street from Copal. It's clean and the guy who took my order was welcoming. Pretty extensive menu the guy told me to take my time with. Outside seating with a few umbrellas to protect from the elements being sun, fog or rain! I ordered 3 tacos 2 steak & one chorizo. Plus a fried quesadilla - to go. Very solid!! One of the best Horchatas ever! It was definitely on the sweeter side but so creamy and addictive. I got the birria burrito which was quite flavorful on its own, but with the red salsa it packed so much delicious heat! Highly recommend. My boyfriend got the Cali Burrito which comes with green salsa inside, and he said it was way too spicy. I thought it was pretty mild, but if you can't handle spice be careful because it already comes with salsa inside! Service was super fast; took less than 10 minutes for our order. Came here on a Saturday afternoon and there was no line. We ordered a carne asada burrito, an al pastor taco, and a pambazo sandwich. The carne asada burrito was okay as there wasn't that much meat in the burrito and the toppings were a bit skimpy. The Al pastor taco was pretty spicy and I took one bite and couldn't finish the rest. However, the pambazo was the star of the show as the bread was one of the best I've ever tasted and the sandwich was loaded with lettuce, avocado, cheese, and sour cream. We came to Humble Sea Brewery and we saw this truck outside the patio area . My kids were super hungry after a long drive . The service was excellent super nice and attentive. The food was so delicious we got tacos they came with grilled onions on the side with some lime slices and some good salsa . The meat was cooked just perfect .My boys got some Mexican cokes for their drinks . They also offer a lot of different flavor of Jarritos . We went on a family trip to Santa Cruz from LA this past Fourth of July weekend and were in the mood for tacos. Luckily this place was near our hotel and we ended up ordering: regular carne asada burrito, super chicken burrito, fish and shrimp tacos, and 5 super chicken tacos. Everything was great! The fish and shrimp tacos (which, in my opinion, can be very hit or miss) were packed with flavor and a decent amount of heat! The burritos were also amazing (definitely preferred the carne asada over chicken meat option) but I'd stick with a regular burrito because the super became a bit soggy which caused it to lose its structure. The super tacos also were meant to come with guacamole but they forgot to include that despite them not being busy at all so had to dock a point for that. The owner was really friendly! He even spent some time trying to figure out our likes or dislikes to help us with ordering (my dad was indecisive) but you can tell his patience was extended to all the customers. They are located on the side of a small market with a handful of parking spots, but if you're unable to find any there's plenty of street parking to choose from. Needless to say, I'm disappointed they aren't in LA! If we ever find ourselves in Santa Cruz again, we will definitely be stopping by The Real Taco! read more

The joy of this simple truck is the love of the food. A taqueria on the move if you book it for catering. I went there on a whim and may I say the delisioso sabor, texture, colors, and freshness where non stop. Okay yes I had the salsa and and grillled Thai chili this loving lady hid on my plate. Now, before adding any extra love (salsa or chili) the Super Chicken taco with quick pickled red onions and the carnitas taco with lightly grilled onion on the side. All on handmade corn tortillas. Well, it was a true Mexican Fiesta of quality and flavor. No bathroom to wash hands, hum! In comes those beautiful little limes, suck the juice for a nice refresh of the breath, scrub your hand with the other and you will be cleaner than many. How is that? Oh, you know why, it is an ancient disinfectant preventing bacteria and microorganisms from attaching/adhering to interior/exterior surfaces, yes! Skin included. The quality is really good. Suadero, asada, pollo, carnitas, pastor and tripas have all been tried over a few visits... all are tasty. Price is a bit much, especially considering the only difference between a super taco and a regular taco is the Super comes with guacamole/ avocado, I forget. I've only tried tacos; the tortillas are made fresh and are delicious. When you order a taco, it says you're supposed to get a Serrano chili, however if you order multiple tacos, they try to give you only one Serrano chili. I don't understand this math. It would be good to give one Serrano per taco for the price paid, as advertised. Will be going back to try the burritos as they all look amazing. Went there one day middle of the week and they said they were not making Suadero because they were going on vacation. Strange, but can't do much about it besides order something else. IMO Santa Cruz is a great food desert..but this spot is an oasis! I get carnitas tacos often and they never disappoint. Jamaica agua Fresca is flavorful and not overly sweet. Handmade tortillas, w/ carnitas the meat is grilled so it's got a nice crunchy crust as well as being soft and tender. Just about $3 per taco, it's a no brainer.
