We went to the Rec Room to take part in a Paint Nite on the second floor. I grabbed a couple of drinks to have during the painting event. In order to dry our painted items, we went to the restaurant part of the Rec Room. My companion had the chicken clubhouse, and I had the sun dried tomato and goat cheese pasta. Service was very good and so was the foods. The ambiance was definitely loud, as there was a big crowd, but otherwise a good place to go for recreation and fun. read more

This location is bigger than the Burnaby location in BC. It felt less crowded over the long weekend as there is more space for people to roam around. However, I could not find my child's favourite hot wheel game here. There are some different games we played instead. Claw games are rigged to have no grip strength. Well this place has sure gone down hill. We headed to the Rec Room on Saturday to celebrate a 14 year old's birthday - there was just 4 of us, no big group or anything. Prices are reasonable - our Game credits came to just under $100 and lasted a couple hours. For the most part, the games are fun. But here are the issues we encountered: A couple of games were not working - but you didn't know that until after you swiped your card and it took your credits. There are NO staff on the floor, so if you have an issue, your only option is to go to the Trophy Room and tell them about it. They'll radio somebody to go to the game in question to fix it and "scan you in" so you can play without losing my credits. Well, we waiting next to one machine for almost 15 minutes and nobody came. Then we tried to go back to the trophy room but there was a long line up. We probably forfeited 20 - 30 credits at various games that either weren't working at all, or not working properly (one of the basketball games appeared to work, but after your game you would realize that it didn't count any of your baskets - so no matter how many you got in, it counted zero and you only got 5 tickets in return). There's also no sanitizing happening at any of the games. There are a few hand sanitizer stations set up around the room, but nobody wiping down games at all. We went into the restaurant in the main area for a quick snack. You have to scan a QR code to see the menu... which normally I don't care about, but they clearly aren't concerned about germs in any other area, so why not just give the kids physical menus to look at? So the kids ordered a hot dog and a hamburger from the kids menu. They were tasty enough, but there were no condiments available, except for ketchup. I had to flag our waiter down to ask for napkins, cutlery, and condiments. He brought us little cocktail napkins, no cutlery, and told us there was only ketchup. My boyfriend and I shared a big soft pretzel - no complaints there. It was hot and soft and delicious. The beer cheese and dill ranch were tasty too. Our server took our empty pop glasses away, and didn't ask if we wanted refills. Oh... and the kids menu is supposed to come with dessert (brownie or a sundae I think) - The kids weren't asked what they wanted, and we didn't think about it until after we left. The first time, I only walked through the Rec Room and the staff I interacted with on a weekday afternoon were friendly and it was not busy. I wanted to check out the games and also the eating area. It reminded me of Playdium where I used to frequent in West Ed in the '90s. The next time I went was to hear an 80s tribute band. They started at 9:30 and glad our friends went before 8:30 to snag a table for 8 on the dance floor close to the stage. We love 80s and dressing up but it seemed we were the only ones that had that idea. There's a variety of drinks and most of them are in the $10-$12 range. Our server came to get our drink orders and we browsed the food menu. We also decided to share a giant pretzel for $9 and sundae that my husband had. The pretzel came with dill dip and cheese dip. I like the softness and warmth of the dough and with a touch of dill was good. My husband commented he would have also liked mustard. Since we had a table of 8, they automatically charged 18% gratuity. The bottles of water were refilled which was great. My drink was ok, but would try something else next time. I asked about getting Scene points and our server said one card per table could collect points. The band was a lot of fun! Bring back The Normals and we will definitely be back. It turned back time and we danced and sang for hours. There were a few breaks in the set so great for bathroom breaks and chatting as it does get loud close to the stage. I won the contest for best dressed and looking forward to playing games for 2 hours! They have a giant Pac Man and would like more pinball but I'm sure I've find lots of games to keep me entertained. Came here to play VR in The Void (which was freaking AWESOME, btw), and there was a promo going on where you got a coupon for $10 off an appetizer down in the restaurant. We headed down to the restaurant, tons of empty tables, but all with "reserved" signs on them and dirty dishes piled on them. We wander around aimlessly, hoping staff would help us, but no dice. They either ignored us, or were too busy. Finally, we find someone standing around, and we get directed to speak to someone at a desk, which I found pretty annoying, because it's obvious the person worked there, and they didn't look like they were doing anything other than holding the wall up. Anyway. I digress. So we head to the desk, we're told the only seats are available are at the bar, or we can wait an hour for a table. Once again, these tables are completely EMPTY, minus the dirty dishes their staff seem incapable of cleaning off. Fine. We didn't want to waste the $10 coupons, so we sit at the bar. Bartender seems nice, but when he sees we aren't there to drink, he pulls a total Dr Jekyll/Mr Hyde on us and the service pretty much goes downhill from there. The food arrives fairly quickly. It's all overpriced and served on wood boards to make it look hip. We have calamari, which tastes like fried cardboard. (a little salt and pepper would've been nice...) We also have these pork slider buns, served in bao buns, once again, probably to make it look hip. They are alright; I've had better. My friend and I split a salmon avocado sandwich. Not bad. Worth $18? Oh hell no. But the fries that come with the sandwich are pretty darn good; I dig the seasoning they have on it. They also have a promo with all their sandwiches for a game token, so I'm all over that too. We spend a long time waiting for someone to get us a box to pack our leftovers, then we wait for our bills. We try talking, but the music is too damn loud. Meanwhile, I'm also dying of thirst because my server didn't bother filling up my water glass; he's too busy getting some group of young'uns drunk. Apparently, team work isn't a thing here at The Rec Room. We wave down a girl who's right in front of us. She tells us she's too busy and to talk to our own server. WTF?!?!? We finally get our bills, and it's all messed up. "Hey buddy," we say. "The coupon says $10 off. Why does only 1 bill have the discount?" The server tries to argue with us about it, even though the coupon clearly states "one voucher per customer". He keeps telling us we're wrong, and says he's getting his manager. Go for it, buddy. It's right there on the coupon in black and white. Manager comes. I hope he tells the server to go suck an egg. Server comes and apologizes. Gives us new bills. They're still wrong. Keep in mind that there were 3 of us with 3 appetizers, a sandwich, and 2 drinks. This was not a hard bill to screw up. I start to wonder whether The Rec Room just hires anybody with a pulse. We give the server one more chance. 2/3 bills are right. My friend looks like she's going to blow a gasket. The server finally just says to forget about it, and her meal is free. I then ask where my game token is for the sandwich promo. Server tells me such promo does not exist. He gets manager again. Manager says same thing. I then realize why the servers are such morons; it's because the manager is a moron too. I tell him to bring the menu, and I tell him to look at the print right underneath the sandwich section detailing the promo. Manager apologizes. I get my game token, but I'm too pissed off to play pac-man anymore. Now, don't get me wrong. The games look fun (albeit overpriced), but the service here is god awful, and the food isn't that great. We went here for the first time for a friends birthday! We did the food, drinks & of course games! It very big inside & I liked that they had a charging station! For the food I had the macoroni & cheese which was delicious, when we got there it wasn't very busy but by the time we waited for food & the waitress to come back with the bills, and then explain how the card works to play im sure it was a total of almost two hours or more! As far as the games, I think they were fun to waste an hour or so! I don't know when we will be back, but next time we will bring out son! We had a new server, I get how difficult it could be. I was more disappointed in the food selections. I didn't really look to hard at the menus online before we arrived since I expected the typical "pub" foods. Maybe it was the area we were in? This place is located on the second floor of West Edmonton mall on the east side near the bridal shop. There is an upper parking lot which is a bit odd to figure out if you've never been here before. This is a good place for games for kids and adults since there's nothing else close by. I don't play games but have eaten here and enjoy listening to the bands playing here. My friends and I have been here a few times but mainly to listen to the band, the dance floor is a good size however not that many people dance so they usually have at least two tables set up there. I invited a few of my friends to celebrate my birthday and reserved a large table which was on the dance floor. Since we brought a cake, they kindly offered to put my cake in the fridge. The food prices are average and I had a burger with fries which was good. The drinks are a little pricey I thought and we have tried a few different cocktails on the drink menu but none would we order more than once. They do have the more common drinks like a Caesar, paralyzer, Malibu and pineapple juice if you ask as they are not shown on the menu. They gave us little bags of popcorn to enjoy before our food arrived which I thought was a great gesture! Who wouldn't like a little snack while watching the band? Everyone seemed to enjoy their food, the service was great that night however once the band started playing, it was way too loud. So loud we had to move our entire party further back. The very last time our group went to watch the band and dance, we received very poor service. As we walked by four staff members standing near the bar, we seated ourselves nearby. No one acknowledged us for a while. When a server did come over, we asked for water as we were waiting for a few other friends to join us. We received water but no drink or food menu so had to ask for them. When we ordered a drink, I asked about the popcorn since we got some all the other times we have been there. I was told they usually bring some out after we order appetizers but then she did bring us some right away. We had the butter tarts with ice cream, you get three to an order and they were delicious! I also ordered a Caesar and it came with a pickle, slice of salami and half a pickled egg on top. Boy did I enjoy that! I'll be ordering this drink every time!! I find the service is hit or miss but it's a great venue for music since it's separated from the games area and there is lots of seating so no one needs to stand all night. Did you know that The Rec Room in West Edmonton Mall is more than just a hang out spot? I was invited to come in and try their brunch menu, which is available on Saturdays and Sundays from 11 am to 3 pm. There are two places to grab food inside this location of the Rec Room - Three10 and The Shed. I've tried Three10 a few times for some snacks (I recommend their popcorn chicken and crab & artichoke dip) but haven't gone for brunch until now. I started off my brunch with a blueberry mimosa. Not your typical mimosa, this one is made up of blueberry juice and Prosecco. It was fruity and light, basically what I look for in any alcoholic drink. The name says it all, their 'Breakfast of Champions Poutine' is one breakfast poutine for a champion! House-cut fries are topped with cheese curds, bearnaise sauce, house ground sausage, bacon, and an egg. It was a decent portion and turned into a tasty concoction after everything was mixed in with the egg yolk. The bearnaise sauce was creamy and not too heavy as well. I'd call this breakfast comfort food, or maybe hangover food? My friend and I enjoyed this dish the most out of the brunch items we tried. For my main dish, I settled on their Hot Smoked Salmon Benedict. It's different from your normal Eggs Benedict because grilled portabello mushroom caps are used instead of English muffins. Thick, in-house smoked salmon is placed on top of fennel and spinach and napa slaw, then finished with poached eggs on top. The same bearnaise sauce from the breakfast poutine is used to add some creaminess. All of the brunch entrees are served with smash fried potatoes and a market green salad. The potatoes (not pictured) were seasoned well and the salad added a refreshing touch to the meal. However, I felt that the eggs benedict portion was a bit too salty for my taste. I probably wouldn't get this again but Three10's play on Eggs Benedict might be enjoyable for those who want something different from the typical brunch dish. My friend tried their game ready skillet breakfast, which is made up of smash fried potatoes topped with smoked beef brisket, sauteed onions, cheese curds, and beer cheese sauce. It was a filling meal, a bit too heavy for his taste. He mentioned that less salt would've tasted better for this item as well. With limited options for brunch available in the westside/WEM area, The Rec Room's offerings are a nice addition. Came in on a Saturday afternoon for lunch and some family fun. This is the second Rec Room to open in Edmonton. Conveniently located in WEM. The restaurant was initially very empty with only one other table. Our server was very quick to take our orders and she did adequate quality checks. Food arrived fast and hot. The kids menu is small but definitely able to satisfy kid taste buds. All three kids order the pizza with fries. Kids menu also comes with dessert. We got the specialty gourmet filled donuts to go as they were all pretty full I went with the lighter beet and arugula salad. It came with a scoop of whipped goat cheese. It was supposed to be a balsamic dressing but was more tossed with oil then anything else. I missed that bit of acidity that I'm used too. After lunch I promised the kids a try of the virtual reality experience they have here. Unfortunately it was over an hour wait to have a turn as there is only 4 simulators. At least there's lots of fun to be had. I punched 200 tokens which cost $30. That lasted the four of us 30mins. The other 30 we spent wandering the mall. For $13 the kids got 30 in the VR simulator. We came for a date Saturday night & of course we expected it to be busy. We came to sit bar top at "The Hall" it was pretty busy but I'm not sure if the place was under staffed or what the issue was but we came to the host stand and there was no host. After wandering around the hall & seeing that all the tables had been reserved we weren't able to talk to a single server. We sat bartop for over 15 minutes continually trying to get the attention of a bartender unsuccessfully. The food was good, tasty. The pricing about on par what you'd pay for that size pizza at other restaurants. The house wine was good. The band playing was good but the first set was utterly way too loud. Okay, so I must say that I liked this rec room better than the one on the south side! It felt cleaner, much more spacious, and less overwhelming (somehow). They have a huge selection of games, enormous restaurant, and multiple levels. Cons: as most other viewers mentioned, the restaurant is a gong show. The bartender hated his job and conveyed that very clearly, the servers appeared overworked and stressed out, and noooobody wants to help ya. They need to figure out their restaurant. We didn't actually get helped to sit down after asking for help, so we didn't end up eating there. The upstairs bar was also closed, which was surprising to see on a Sunday. So it's a fun place to come to play arcade or virtual reality games, but evidently not a good place to eat or drink. read more

During previous visits to the mall, I've breezed right past The Rec Room, as the entrance makes it look quite small and dark. Also, it's way out in the former Phase I, near Jubilations Dinner Theatre, not by the Cineplex or in a high-traffic area where you might expect it to be. However, we made the trip in today and it was well worth it. Our visit began at the Three10 restaurant, where the service was excellent, friendly and fast and the food was well-portioned and delicious. (My only complaint here is that there was no one at the front desk area, so we had to wait for the staffers to wrap up their conversation at the top of the stairs before we were noticed for seating.) Next time we're back, I'd love to try dessert, as I saw some tasty looking dishes being served around us. After we ate, we stumbled into some sort of Happy Hour in the gaming area, where everything we played was 1/2 price. This was a welcome surprise, as our $10 token bands stretched super far. And they had several fun games that we hadn't noticed at the South Common Rec Room before, which was surprising and really fun! (It would seem that the Prizing area at the South Common location is bigger/better stocked, however. So keep that in mind if you've been saving up your gaming points for a big cashout!) read more

The Rec Room is a fun place to spend a few hours, so many great games available to play. Personal favourites include the giant PAC man, Mario Kart, and the all new Halo game (can't get enough Halo in my life). The Void is another great addition to the Rec Room's arsenal, I'd recommend everyone goes and experiences the secrets of the empire! Where the Rec Room falls down (and this is also true of the south side location) is the food and bar service. Let's be honest, it's not on the cheap side, $7 for a pint of Lucky and $8 for a pint of Budweiser is really reaching. What's worse is when it takes over 25 minutes for said $7 pint of Lucky to appear, on a Sunday, when there's not really anyone in the bar. The server was pleasant enough and apologised profusely, however during the 25 minute wait, they could maybe have saved a bit of time by asking for our food order. Which then also took an age to appear. Thank goodness they give you a bag of popcorn to snack on, or we'd have starved to death. Like I say, I enjoy going to the rec room for the games, but if you fancy food and a beer after you're done, maybe try somewhere else. read more

*Update - After writing this review of my less-than-stellar experience at The Rec Room their management responded asking me to contact them (see below). So I did. Guess what? They never got back to me. I can only surmise that they're just responding to reviews for show. So it appears to people who are surfing Yelp that they actually care about their customers' experiences. My wife and I went to The Rec Room for dinner and a game of Name That Tune. The game was fun but their food service at Three10 needs improvement. I ordered the 12 oz Bone-in Rib steak--well done--with smash-fried red potatoes on the side. When the server brought the steak it was barely cooked. Pink and bloody. I don't eat raw meat, that's why I asked for it well done. The server said "oh, sorry about that," which was nice but it's not her fault. She wasn't the cook in the kitchen who apparently didn't feel he or she had to pay attention to the paying customer's instruction. She took the steak and the potatoes back. So now I'm twiddling my thumbs while my wife is able to get started on her dinner. About 15 minutes later somebody (not our server) brings me a new steak which is cooked the way I asked for it. No apology, no "oops", just basically, "here you go." But this time they forgot the side. I told her I had potatoes with it. She said, "Sounds good." Then I had to wait another 10--15 minutes for potatoes. Do you think the kitchen has a communication problem? I started eating the steak without waiting for the side. I had already lost enough time at this point and Name That Tune was about to start and I wanted to be finished before we played the game. My wife was already long done her meal by now. The potatoes showed up just as I was finishing the steak. Basically they were dessert. They were dropped at the table with no apology or explanation. In other words, no accountability. It seems as if nothing is ever anybody's fault these days. It was simply an act of god that my order was screwed up. It was a hurricane or a volcanic eruption. What's worse is that none of the management staff displayed any empathy or accountability for the mix-up. I'm not a complaining customer and I didn't make a scene. I had faith that they valued my business and that they would make it right. They didn't. There was no offer to discount the bill or of any vouchers to play some of the games. This would have gone a long way to changing my opinion of the place. Did I get my food eventually? Yes, but on the third strike. The server didn't even so much as offer to refill my drink. She and the other server on duty that night both just stood there like pit bosses in a casino observing everyone without much interaction. I had to get up and walk over to her to ask for another Coke. I would have signalled to her if she had looked in my direction. What the staff need to understand is that when an order needs to be sent back it makes for an awkward atmosphere for the diners. The rest of the people at the table don't feel right about eating in front of the person who hasn't yet gotten their food. Name That Tune was fun and I would like to come back to play some games but the crappy dining experience just makes me not want to give them any more of my money or time. read more

First time experience at this location. I visited because of the hype that everyone was giving for the new STAR WARS VR thing. First, is the food. OVER PRICED Bison lasanga / Chicken Caesar Sandwich with no taste except PEPPER. Seriously, $25 for a small serving in a skillet, no bigger then a tea cup saucer. The meal had the long lasanga noodles instead of the traditional broad ones, making it a mess to try and eat. Most lasagna's that I've had, has cheese through out the entree, but this - only had sprinkled cheese on top and nothing but tomato sauce throughout. The sandwich? Nice sized portion of chicken breast but there was no flavor. Zero - the only thing you could taste was the the seasoning it was cooked in and Pepper - ALOT of pepper!! The Rec Room seems to be more interested in the hype of their games, then anything else. Oh and lets not forget that the servers in the dinning area, tend to forget that if you have a SCENE card - they don't ask. Make sure you have it on you !! Star Wars VR thing? Was a different experience then other VR's that I've been too. You can actually walk around, along a specific path throughout the game. Is it worth the $37 ? Sure - and make sure you keep your wristband if you want to build on your "kill count", because they failed to mention, that after every 24hr period, you have to re-sign the waiver and start a new "profile". Will I return? Yes - but only for the games. Anything food related was a disappointment, so don't expect me to eat there again. read more

It's hard to give an honest review of this place as we had very delicious food, incredibly slow service at our table, great times playing games, but it was also too loud during our visit. I was here for a friend's birthday party on a Saturday night and the food I ate was pretty good -- I adored the asparagus appetizer (with poached egg!) that I had! The pizza was okay but a bit salty. I can't say much about the drinks as I just had water but I felt a bit nagged by the wait staff who kept asking me for a drink order. Our food was incredibly slow and service was quite uneven. The restaurant appologized for the inconvenience as many of their staff were new and they were short staffed as some didn't show up that evening. We got some free credit to play games as a result. The games themselves were pretty fun and mostly in good working order. I got to play some of my favourites (especially the one where I throw balls at the clowns!). All in all it was a great night though the restaurant was slow (messed up some people's (not mine) orders, neglected to bring food/drinks for quite some time, took forever to bring out the ice cream cake). I'd come back as I like playing the games but really it was not the greatest experience. We also had to complain to get the sound turned down so that we could talk without losing voices. This was not ideal. It is nice to be able to use your wristband for either Rec Room location in Edmonton. It is also nice to be able to have this kind of entertainment in such a transit accessible venue with ample parking. The mall is a great location for this and I'm glad that it is there. read more

What an awesome new space! Three10 hit it out of the park with anything that we tried. The food was awesome! They have many choices for appetizers and things to share to the mains that are done on the wood fired grill. It covers dishes from coast to coast; from bison to salmon. The Iron Skillet wings were my favourite of the night. Cocktails were also really good, again inspired by Canadiana. Beer and wine on tap with a nice selection of crafts. Yellowhead and AlleyKat to represent Edmonton. The games were awesome fun. They have several virtual reality scenarios to choose from. There is an augmented climbing wall, golf, soccer and basketball. There are ping pong tables upstairs as well as some of the classic arcade table games. Lots of video games to choose from and lots of kid friendly games as well. The prizes for winning tickets are nice quality. I will win that hoverboard someday! This is located in WEM, so there is lots of free parking available. The food is a higher quality, so a bit of a higher price tag. Game credits can rack up quickly as well. They do have an option to pay $50 for 4 hours of unlimited game play. If I remember correctly, games are between 4 and 8 credits per play. It is an awesome nerdy date night, with food, drinks and game play, you are looking at between $60 and $80 per person. read more

I am only rating this based on the 35+ "80s & 90s" dance party that they threw in February or March of this year. Overpriced. Our 25 dollar VIP experience only gave us a saved seat at a table. No drink no nothing. Drinks completely overpriced. However the bartender making them was lovely and kind. DJ sucked. He played hardly any 80s or 90s music (most of the music I didn't even recognize) and when my husband went up to request a song he said that he doesn't take request. HE DOESNT TAKE REQUEST? WHAT DJ DOESNT TAKE REQUESTS? THAT IS HIS DAMN JOB. Fire his stupid ass. And guess what we were requesting? 80s and 90s dance music which he was supposed to be playing anyway. I really hope the manager reads this. Tonnes of work to be done. Only good thing was that the staff (servers and bar tenders) were really nice. I was really looking forward to coming here monthly for their plus 35 dances, but nope. Really fun place! We had a good time playing games with a bunch of people. The tickets were reasonably priced and tons of fun. The service at the downstairs bar was quick and efficient. We did not order food. Our only issue was that, in trying to find a quiet spot, we went upstairs. There was no bartender and no staff upstairs at all. We ended up with a table full of glasses and a small spill that did not get cleaned up while we were there for about 3 hours. read more

Go to Rec Room for the games and the bar not the servers. We waited too long to order, way too long to eat and it was even hard to pay the bill. This is an arcade with a horrible restaurant. read more

I went to The Rec Room last night to watch the Raptors game. The place was clean, had a variety of screens to watch the game and was full of good energy. Pros - The pizza and the poutine were fine. Average compared to industry standards - The bathrooms were clean which was surprising given the amount of people - The live band after the game was energetic and engaging Areas of Improvement - Service was slow. The waitress wasn't very attentive to our table. - Lead time between ordering and receiving the order was lengthy. - The value for money was poor. Quite expensive for what you get. Overall I was impressed with the experience and I will likely be a returning customer. read more

I have been to the rec room on the south side many times. My husband and I were staying at wem for a night so we went to check it out. It is way smaller than the south side location. They don't have as many games. Our wrist bands also wouldn't work on some of the games. We really enjoy the concept and have fun when we are playing but we would totally recommend the south side one over wem. The one thing they do have which is a huge plus is ping pong! That's a redeeming quality. read more

$6 for half an avocado. Let that sink in... that means $12 for a whole avocado. Like where do they get their avocados? Are they some sort of premium avocado or are they importing them from space? How can an avocado cost $12? I just can't comprehend it. Also... had a stale draft beer and my friend found a popcorn kernel in their drink. Our waiter brought a large jug of water to our table and no glasses as he said they were dirty and he'd have to get some washed. When he finally came back the the drinking glasses were filthy and smelt like cheap dollar store candles. ***UPDATE*** I'm still yet to hear back from the senior management that runs this place. I can't comment on the food, as I didn't eat here. This was my first time at a Rec Room, I believe this one is smaller than the Southside one. I'm not sure how busy it can get, since we went during the afternoon on a weekday and was quiet and not much people. I took my 7 year old nephew and bought a $30 wristband. since was half price games on Tues (as well as Sun) he was able to play lots of games for over an hour on 200 credits. He loved the prizes you could redeem here with winning points and commented they were way better prizes than Chuck E Cheese. It can get expensive here since games are normally 6-8 credits and doesn't take long to go thru many games. So come on half price days instead, though others may have the same idea and become really busy in evenings. Overall, we had a fun time but it wouldn't be somewhere I would go regularly, as I'm past the arcade phase, but for the odd occasions like a treat for my nephew. I would be curious to check out the Southside one to see how it compares. Heads up....it's located in phase one, in the quieter part of the mall. Took us a while to find it since I was expecting it to be in phase 3. read more

The standards at the Rec Room are nonexistent, it seems as if the staff doesn't care or just doesn't know how to take care of the restaurant. When I ordered one of my drinks the lime slice was mouldy and when I informed the manager they didn't seem like they knew what to do. The food I got was cold and it just wasn't very enjoyable at all. The games were the best part of the night but half of them were out of service and the floor was just dirty and dirty glassware was all over the place. All in all they need to train their staff and managers about customer service as well as actually cleaning the place up. read more

This venue is great if you want to play some arcade games- both new and old games. They have a great variety of arcade games to play that are reasonably priced. They have a deal on Sundays where you can play for half the price. They have a selection of other types of activities like VR rockclimbing or VR golf- these are quite pricey i found. The biggest downfall was the venue's restaurant. The service is incredibly slow and half the time the waiters are no where to be seen. The food itself was mediocre, I got a pulled pork poutine that was very average. The facility itself is a good size and very clean. I will definitely be returning for the games and will just make sure to eat beforehand! read more

Customer service is great every time. My son had his wristband stolen and the manager (Natasha) was so understanding and made sure my son enjoyed the rest of his day. The bartender then accidentally poured extra beer, so we enjoyed a couple on the house! read more

Well. It's a good concept. Food is mediocre at best. Service was like we were there on a test run night. Slow, limited knowledge, lots of mistakes. Most food came. Some didn't. Got game wrist bands. Didn't work. Returned 3x before they worked. Having said that games are great. A band was playing that was fun. Get food and service right and the place will be great. read more

It's kinda hit or mostly miss. You pay for the atmosphere but not for the great tasting food. Over priced drinks because I bet the rent is high here. Kids are always here which is awkward when you want to drink or maybe even let loose to get shit faced. You can play games which is a bonus for kids or dult gaming fun. My first time here, all the games kept breaking down though. Overall it is over hyped for having a night out with your friends the only thing good about it is location. North sliders and south spider friends can beet kinda in middle somewhere known. Been here a few times it's an eye roll idea. read more

I really love the idea of The Rec Room but it is located in a really remote part of West Ed. It isn't easy to find and the mall entrance is sparse with some sort of booths that look strange and greeters ready to pounce on me every time I walk by. That being said, I enjoyed my meal (Mac and Cheese) and they gave us free popcorn to start. It is an upgrade from Eds Rec Room with much more to do. read more

Ordered Wings for dinner they have them 8 for 14$ or 12 for 20$ the wings they serve are 1. Overpriced 2. Dry and 3. The breading they put on them over take the taste of the wings. Would highly suggest not ordering wings from their menu. read more

We went there to meet our adult kids and grandson. It was fun for our kids/grandson. We were seated away from the gaming area which was quieter. Our food was overpriced and just ok nothing great for the price. My husband noticed that we could use our Scene card. When it came time to pay the bill (over $200.) I was not asked for my Scene card. I remembered later about the Scene card, so the next morning I took my receipt in and asked for the points to be credited. The answer was NO. You can only use it when you pay, I told them I was not asked and they just didn't care. We will not be returning. Very disappointing. read more
