This place was a buzz of activity on a Friday night! We heard there were a Jeep giveway so arrived around 8PM to find a line of people waiting to swipe their players' card. We later found out they were not giving away the Jeep that night and swiping the card provided entry forms to enter for a chance to win it. Since this casino is not close to home, we only came to hear the live band called The Normals playing. The stage has a small walkway/dance floor in front and then raised seating for booths and tables and chairs for the eating area. Glad we arrived earlier as there was one table with 4 chairs left. A few chairs had jackets so I'm assuming people were saving the tables. The menu has a combination of Chinese food, sandwiches, appetizers, and the special of the night was prime rib for $10.99. With the Player's card you can get a 10% coupon so the prices are quite reasonable. The drink menu has cocktails for reasonable prices too. Most of the slot machines were busy that night and and there were a few spots at each card table. I didn't gamble as the highlight was the band and we danced, ate, and drank during our 5 hours there. Such a great place to play poker but the room is so hot that everyone is sweating! I mean players and dealers! Great houseman Jason, dealers like sinath and sam makes this room very lively and accomodating. Too bad, i've been told that there's little to no recognition to great employees especially Jason who treated me and my family with outmost respect and very fun to converse with. I was here to enjoy the restaurant recently. The service was good and the food was reasonably well priced. Service was a bit uneven depending on how busy the restaurant was depending on the time of day (I was volunteering in the cash cage so I was a captive audience), but I did enjoy my soup and my breakfast foods I had for different meals. The restaurant has limited seating space during the busier meal times. read more

Covid lockdowns allowed them to finally finish off their never ending renovation. Looks great! Something happened to the food though. I don't know if it's different staff preparing it or different food suppliers but it does not taste half as good as it did. My wife still gets the Singapore noodles to go when we leave but actual meals will be ate elsewhere. read more

After two bad experiences at Argyll Casino in Edmonton, and hearing from others of similar experiences I am writing a review with regard to very lax covid measures reinforced at Argyll. Although it is a by-law Argyll prefers to have patrons self regulate how they follow the by-law, saying they can't tell patrons what to do. YES YOU CAN. IT IS A BY-LAW. IT IS A LAW. When complaining about people right beside me not wearing masks. walking around with no masks, I was basically told to mind my own business and NOT TO MAKE EYE CONTACT with other patrons in case they feel they are being ostracized for not wearing masks. WHAT? The security guards could use a refresher course on how to deal with PAYING customers. Bad. The result? I'll go spend my money at River Cree. read more

This casino is fairly big and nicely renovated. I wish they kept the dance floor they used to have. I have been going here for years and the staff is always helpful. My husband and I love the food especially the steak and shrimp. We always get super good service but I find the service is better in the alta restaurant. Jen is always are go to server as she is very thoughtful and goes beyond our expectations and makes sure we are having the best experience! Raj is also one of our favorite servers there he tends to know how to do his job very well and is a great person to chat with! Definitely recommend this casino for a fun night. They were closed doing a renovation till Aug1 2020... I went today Aug 9 2020... looked great going in the door...But after a few minutes nothing really has changed... I went to play an older game where about 10 or 12 are in a line in a long hallway "D1"...maybe 2 machines would accept money...I told the slots manager and proceeded on my way...found some others i would like to play but they too would not accept money... I would accept this if all machines were down but some did work so its a management or tec services issue ...after all this time being closed the machines should function.!!!... You dress up a pig but it is still a Pig... Managment should be EMBARASSED... one star as I can not give zero stars... read more

This casino is quite large! The rooms are sectioned off into different activity areas. There's rooms for slots, poker, and so on. There's plenty of choice for your night's activities and more than enough space so there isn't any over crowding. Casino Edmonton is also open super late (the poker room is actually open 24/7!), so you can play at your leisure. There's a restaurant inside of the casino that's open pretty late so you can get your snack on while you gamble. The bathrooms can be hard to find; they're kind of hidden in tucked away corners. It's freezing in Casino Edmonton so make sure to bring a sweater or coat! read more

I had to do this review for one thing - the pizza. Backstory: I was working a casino for a nonprofit I am involved with (PLAN Edmonton) and had to be at the Casino from 9:30 pm - 3:30 am. Not my favourite way to spend an evening, but it is for a worthwhile cause. When you work a casino, you are entitled to a free meal. I decided to try out the pizza at their little deli place. Oh. My. Word. Thick fresh crust, just the right amount of tomato sauce and lots of gooey cheese! Mine was a pepperoni and bacon (carnivore I am) and it was perfect! I would go out of my way to stop here (I don't gamble) just for the pizza, and I would recommend it to anyone. read more

I am not much of a gambler so I don't go to the casino often. My mom and brother wanted to check this place out so we ventured here to see what it was like. We came here late afternoon on a Monday so it wasn't very busy. There are many rooms full of slot machines with some black jack tables and craps and sections that are separate for poker games and high stake games. I was impressed with the volume and the variety to choose from. My mom and I stuck to the slot machines while my brother tested his hand at poker. The staff were pleasant and helpful. The rooms were very clean. And I had fun! Would I gamble here again anytime soon? No, probably not. But that isn't because of the establishment itself. My mom and brother also enjoyed their time here. I think they will be coming back. read more

I don't understand what their problem is with customers at this casino. It's like they'd rather make you go away than actually help you with anything. I had about $400 in loonies and toonies, I took it to the slot cage where they have a machine specifically for counting change and they told me they can't help me. Empty parking lot, employees standing around doing nothing, but they can't help me convert change into playable cash. Even if they have a machine specifically for that. Will never set foot in that building again read more

Was not impressed with the 2 drink max when I was at the bar trying to order drinks for myself, wife and a friend who had gone to the bathroom. Then to our dismay find out that there is also a 2 drink per hour max. We where there to watch a band play and were there for the "Bar" atmosphere, not the Roger's Place atmosphere. If we where moving form section to section gambling there is no way they could enforce this but since you are in one spot they pull this crap. Oh and waitress service was terrible and could not start a tab at the bar. Won't be going back. read more

Torn between 2 and 3 stars. I'm sure it's intentional for it to be laid out awkwardly, but seriously, I had a hard time figuring out where I was going. Was here with 5 other people, and constantly felt like I was lost. Selection of slot machines is mediocre. There were a few games I had wanted to play, I have a weird obesession with playing games that feature animals, I think they're cuter, therefore more entertaining. Can't say I love spinning 7's and cherries. The selection of 5 cent or less slots was slim, and many machines needed servicing. read more

I have been to this casino numerous times and it is a great casino. The food is Great and the service is even better. Usually on Friday and Saturday nights they have a band and they're usually pretty good entertainment. They have a wide variety of slot machines from 5 cent Machines up to 25 cent machines. They also have a bunch of tables that you can play blackjack or what have you on overall a great safe atmosphere I would definitely go back and recommend it. read more

My truck got broken in to while it was parked on Casino Edmonton's property while I was inside. Although nothing was stolen ...(me thinks the person followed me around) I reported it to their security as they would have got it all on video. They did have it on video but told me that I was not allowed to see it as the burgler was a client of thier's, too! They said that if nothing got stolen then there should be no reason to report it to the police and they refused to help me futher. My truck was damaged and it cost $200 to fix the jimmed door not to mention the down time to get it fixed. That is irrisponsible at best! So everyone is allowed to break into property and have a look around as long as you do not steal anything you are not breaking the law. Stopped in here yesterday shortly after the evening rush. Three of us - ordered 2 pizzas. One was a pepperoni & mushroom; the second a bacon and sausage. They looked superb when they arrived at our table and they were soooo good. Price was reasonable as well and the restaurant was nice and quiet - great place for a conversation. Will definitely return for pizza; also for their breakfast specials which are the best deal in town. read more

went there with a friend for dinner and her some dinner with gambling. lots of flash and glam in the gambling area's. felt quite safe there. finally found the dinning room and went and sat down. the dinning room was very plain and basic, and had to wait abit for the food. But was well worth it. I had the roast beef dip and she had the wor won ton soup, which had shrimp in it which I don't like but she really enjoyed. The roast beef dip was fresh and the dip really good too. the fries were well cooked and tasty. the coffee which we had too was great too. over all great food to enjoy there. watch for their specials too. they are awesome too. My friend went and gambled for a bit and heard someone WON 73k on a 3 dollar bet. that's plum awesome but we didn't win big. some of the machines were reserved so it was hard to get the poker machines. overall great food and good place to gamble if you want to. One thing I did see was a waitress find a cell phone and make the effort to return it to the customer. was Great to see honesty was alive and well there!! read more
