All around horrible store. High end, garage sale quality items at retail prices. They don't want to sell clothes, they want to horde it because bargaining is discouraged. $125 pants n $80 dress, they'll offer $200. That Nikki store manager is a liar. Reneges on agreed upon price then says she never agreed. Dishonest person. They won't work with you at all. Store is filthy, not covid compliant with no sanitation after items touched. A bona-fide storage unit of what could be nice items but that haven't sold for years bc they expect high prices and no discount. Nikki is Ms "No". I had the pleasure of stopping by this afternoon. I was greeting by a friendly staff and who I later learned to be the owner. Let me start by saying, they do have some great stuff, and it's priced very fairly. I saw some reviews saying everything was way overpriced but I'm glad to say that I ignored them and went anyway. On top of that, the owner my whole visit was very helpful and made some good suggestions too! We got to talking and she assured me that she'd go out of her way to let me know if they get in any items that I'm looking for, which was very sweet. I took my things to sell here thinking they would go in a flash. NOPE! The owner only took 3 of my excellent items and made me feel like she was doing me a favor. She has me sign this form-without telling me the particulars and only when I arrive home do I discover that she takes 60 percent of the selling price! The next day, I went back to retrieve an item she underpriced and I could not find my item. She did not even help me, or suggest where she had hung it the day before! All in all, I am appalled by the service here as well as underwhelmed by the amount of traffic she receives. Save yourself alot of frustration- go elsewhere. read more

I have been to this strip mall dozens of times and never noticed The Refinery Celebrity Resale store before. This is probably because I am always zoned in on my lunch place. I totally have a one track mind when it comes to food, but that is a different topic for a different day... I was with my mom and little one when we were just walking around to wear out the babe after lunch. We walked down to the Refinery Celebrity Resale store just to look in the windows. My mom, a purse hog, noticed a cute handbag in the window. We went in not knowing what to expect and ended up finding this fun store. This is quite a different store than I have visited before. It is a high-end consignment shop full of brands like Gucci, Dior, Louis Vuitton, Jimmy Choo, and many others. The store is really pretty large and packed full of all sorts of clothing, handbags, shoes, and jewelry. The also had every sort of type of clothing from simple tops and bottoms to evening wear and everything in-between. They had a beautiful Oscar de la Renta evening gown that I would have bought if I was a size 2, had 2 grand to drop on a dress, and a place to actually wear it to since it wasn't the type of dress to go grocery shopping in, though I totally could have rocked it at Fresh n' Easy, in my opinion. The Refinery also had some pretty funky items as well. I noticed some dresses that looked straight out of Dynasty or the dressing rooms of the DIVAS show's performers. It was pretty fun looking at all of these crazy gowns! You could really find some fun stuff here. The store seemed to have some really good prices on most items. A some things seemed to be high considering the style/condition, but overall everything seemed on par with the product. If you looked a bit, I think you could find some killer deals here. I even noticed some brand new items with the original sales tag still attached. I know consignment shops aren't for everyone, but it is worth popping in, because you never know what you might find! read more

I came to this place dazzled by the idea of actual designer items, gently loved at affordable prices. I was very wrong. There are some good labels in here, but the prices are too high for secondhand items. The place is packed with outdated clothing, dirty handbags and ugly shoes. I brought in a variety of items to sell, mostly outerwear. The owner briefly looked through some of it, decided some of the items were fake because she didn't recognize the labels and refused to take the items she did like because there were *only* two. I immediately sold them to another consignment store without any problems. I will most certainly not return. What a waste of time! read more

I love ReFinery! Firstly, they only carry the finest brands. Nothing has that "shopworn" look like other "used" clothing stores. And, if you want something unique, this is where you will find it. Anything you can think of from gorgeous St. John knits to designer shoes, belts, bags and sunglasses they've got. They have an incredible men's section as well. No high-pressure tactics either. You can browse without a pushy salesperson wanting to know if you need any help every 5 minutes. But, if you want suggestions or help you don't need to ask twice. read more

I was in Las Vegas for a short amount of time and stopped in here before heading to the airport. I was genuinely surprised with both the quantity and quality of goods sold here. The owner was very friendly and helpful, as was the sales associate. I didn't have enough room in my bag, so my things were shipped out right away. WOW! THIS is how I could see spending my day! The owner has the most breathtaking collection of vintage couture I have ever seen! Yes, I have been to the many famed LA vintage boutiques, they have NOTHING on the Refinery. She didn't spend millions on the location or set up, its a small strip mall store, but chock FULL, I'm talking no floor or ceiling space left, wall to wall and everywhere in between noting but Chanel, Prada, Gucci, an entire rack of Herve Leger, Blamain, Gaultier, it goes on and on and on and on. I spent a good two hours and everytime I turned there was more. Prices are high, but the goods timeless and well taken care of. You will pay about $1500 for the purses, a couple hundred for the dresses as well as the shoes, the cheapest thing I saw was a pair of $50 Missoni rainboots. After a day of visiting the 'other' couturish resale stores in Las Vegas we landed at The Refinery and it was a gold mine. Every designer we needed. Yes, you know I mean 'need'. Everything from Brand new Louboutin shoes for only $600 to gorgeous Karl Lagerfeld tops for under $100 and Joie and Maxmara Dresses for under $50. The owner Barbara is fabulous! The whole experience made it my favorite store in Vegas. Well worth the drive, and I made the trip twice from the strip because I wanted to go back w a friend. This is the second time I have been to this consignment shop, the last time was one year on vacation. I cannot speak to consignment as I only look to buy. The owner was in the store on both occasions and I can only say that I will recommend this shop to all my friends. I am looking for quality designer items..and this shop has an impressive well organized collection. I found a Tom Ford custom shirt that fit me perfectly. This shirt retails for $500-$800 and I purchased for $199; a very reasonable price for a never worn or once worn item. It is clear the owner is connected to consignors with great designer inventory: I noticed an unworn Chanel dress with tag still attached. The handbags are all in good condition (Chanel, LV, etc). I absolutely loved this place. The ladies who worked here were so kind and helpful. I was looking for a prom dress and somehow this woman pulled this perfect red dress, and it fit perfectly. It also had a wonderful price. It got many compliments at prom and people said it looked like it belonged on the red carpet. I was called "Ms. Hollywood" by my English teacher. read more

This store has amazing finds. I have been in a few times now and knew I would be going there to get my designer shoes and eventually some formal dresses. The amount you save is incredible. The staff is so friendly and helpful. I highly recommend it to anyone who enjoys the finer things but hates the price tag. These are the real deal but gently used and I am so happy with my purchase. High end designer clothing and shoes. Was impressed with the selection of shoes and heels in a size 8.5 and 9 which can be hard to find. The lady who owns the store was both knowledgeable and friendly. I found a loose knit Free People sweater, cute quilted jacket for the winter, and a flowing purple snakeskin pattern Guess dress all for $130. Not a bad deal. They get new stuff in everyday so this may be a once a week habit for me! read more

Sooooo angry right now!!! Went there check if my limited edition Christian Louboutin sold from "Refinery Celebrity Resale" On Sunset and pecos .... Guess what! My shoe that was never worn and brand new with dust bags on each shoe PLUS a house shopping bag from Louboutin were ruined. One of the shoes was missing a stud all of a sudden and both of my dust bags AND the bag were gone. Plus they keep saying that my shoes were never sold because of the bad condition that "I brought them in" I left the store with my shoes before I lost my mind on that women .... Girls be advised!!!!! Probably the worse customer service ever! The owner was rude. A father and his young daughter came in and the owner of this store (she's the blonde that needs valium to calm her down)straight up said they couldn't afford anything. Really? Did you notice the Masserati the father was driving? I was looking in the small section (for my granddaughter) and the owner told me that I was looking in the wrong size...duh? I'm a small too lady. All-in-all the paid sales person was kind as could be and embarrassed by the owner. I'd rather pay retail if this is the way The Refinery's owner treats her customers. I do think that their prices are a little bit high for used clothing. other than that the store is laid out very nice . I recently had the opportunity to visit the Refinery while on vacation in Las Vegas. I had read all of the reviews prior to going, and with the range in comments, I really wondered what I could expect. As I am a leather worker and handbag maker, I believe I have a good eye for things that are well constructed and made from quality materials. Here is a little perspective. . . As for the smarmy comments that have been left, ladies come on. We can be so mean to one another over the silliest things. So maybe the store didn't meet your expectations, but there are tens of thousands of kinder ways to word your disappointments. If you felt that the staff was rude, did you confront them before leaving your comments on this site for them to find later? I live in Boise, Idaho. It is a mountain town. Hence, when the weather turns cold, almost everyone puts on dark colors. The greatest access we have to fashion here is Macy's and Dillards, and we finally got a Nordstrom Rack. Many people spend their money on puffer vests, North Face down coats, and Keen shoes to look cool here. Most of the LV's I see here are genuine fakes, and no one cares that they only spent 20$ on some cheap plastic knock off that the manufacturer made a quick buck on that is going to crack as soon as it gets a modest amount of sun exposure. And, most people here do not want to pay what it costs for real fashion. This is not a glamour town. That said, I came out of the womb with a love for fashion but no outlet to express it. I remember playing with my fashion plates as a little girl and getting bored with them because there were only so many options with a skirt plate that had three texture patterns and the limitation of the same shape every time. The refinery is an artist's dream. This is a place where you can see a real piece by Alexander McQueen, God rest his soul. You can consider owning a real fur coat if you like (and want the responsibility of maintaining it), and you can even own a pair of Noritaka Tatehana shoes if you want to look like Lady Gaga. Yes, it will cost you, but that is the point. Real fashion is first and foremost, art. And art costs money. To be fair, the Louis Vuitton bags they carried were priced pretty accordingly and even slightly less than the other pawn shops and consignment stores we went to (and trust me, we went to quite a few). Everything was in nice shape, and many items still had tags on them. This store is packed to the gills with amazing creations by the top designers and it is a pleasure just to get to look through everything. For those who were frustrated because they didn't consign very many of your items. . . Keep in mind that the fashion industry changes rapidly and so do the styles. For these ladies to keep up with even the designers represented on the Strip, and their RTW and Resort collections every year, this takes a certain amount of effort. If you're bringing in your Aldo booties that you bought last season, they're definitely going to be more likely to take a pair of Manolos or Jimmy Choos over those. I'm sure they have a lot of super quality merchandise that comes through those doors, but I'm sure they have to be pretty selective as well. I had a delightful conversation with both ladies in the store about owning and caring for a fur and didn't find them to be rude. In fact, I found people shopping at the North Outlet mall to be far ruder and most of them don't know anything about fashion anyway! I had on a terrific street style outfit with great originality in color and pattern mix, and I can't tell you how many nasty looks I got. But the minute I stepped in to the Micheal Kors store, the staff was very impressed. I would say that people who really know fashion know what they are looking for and that can come across as uppity. But you can take a bunch of people who know absolutely nothing about fashion and put them in an outlet mall selling last years items and watch them deride anyone who looks different, just because they don't understand it. Unfortunately, I was looking for a pair of navy blue platform slides, a pair of royal blue platform slides, and a pair of brown booties without fur trim, none of which they had. But that won't stop me from looking in the next time I'm in Las Vegas. And for anyone who appreciates clothing that most of us don't have access to on a regular basis, this place is top notch! read more

So I went browsing in this store on my lunch break since I work at the salon next door. I wanted to see if I could find another Louis Vuitton and the owner refused to acknowledge me and when I politely asked for help she looked at me like I was bothering her. I don't know what stick is up her butt, I just know I won't be returning. I would love to buy recycled bags but with an attitude like that I'll just drop the thousand dollars it would cost for a new Louis Vuitton and deal with employees who actually care about the customer. I came into The Refinery thinking that I would have a wonderful experience, unfortunately it did not go as planned. I called the store pursuing my quest to find the item I wished for which was a Louis Vuitton speedy handbag. I was rudely told that they did not carry such item and probably never would but I should stop by and see what else they had. I did in fact stop by with my mother who was curious to see what this boutique had to offer. When we came in we were instantly hit with a smell that I could only describe as an "old musty smell" don't get me wrong I completely understand that things age and do come with their history when shopping in consignment but this was a horrible smell nonetheless. Also there was no one on the sales floor whatsoever and myself being a retail sales associate I felt a little wary. I looked around the store for a good 10-15 minutes before anyone came in from the back. The woman who did was an older lady in a very tasteful suit. Unfortunately she offered no help to myself or my mother who was browsing around the jewelry cases and she was pointing out to me a lot of the items in the jewelry cases were I fact costume jewelry. A lot of the items that I saw were very... Dated, unfortunately that was the nicest adjective I could come up with to describe the stock that the store held that day. As I was walking around I found things that held some interested to me and when I saw the price tag I nearly jumped. The prices listed were so close to retail I thought I was just seeing things. After pointing this out to my mother who is (60) and she told me that what I was looking at was something from decades before. I found items that were in fact listed at current retail price even though they were a very poor condition. All the while I was in the store the woman behind the jewelry cases did not offer to help me whatsoever. As we were leaving I wished the woman a good day but heard nothing in return. This is my favorite vintage boutique in Vegas. It reminds me of the vintage you would find in San Francisco (Haight/Ashbury). Love it! Key Word here is in the name of the store "Celebrity". Expect to see red carpet and runway fashion labels (that only celebrities can afford)! Although I still cannot afford to pay the "resale" price, it is fun to look and feel these pieces of clothing and just dream..... They have an abundant supply of hand bags and shoes, all labels and brands. Prices are fair, Louis Vuitton bags for $400, Dior for $200, Coach and Dooney for $100 and under. Plenty of shoes, I didn't have any luck with size 7, but Vintage/consign is hit or miss. Shoes ran around $130 for Manolo, Valentino, etc. Yes, I agree, the older lady is cold and rude-but that is her problem-just ignore her and keep shopping! It may be a little higher priced but to anyone familiar with the price of designer items directly from the store it does seem pretty on par with what you should expect to pay resale. Worst shopping experience ever...I walked around the store without anyone saying a word to me for more than thirty minutes. I even waited for someone to come show me sunglasses in the case but no one once came and assisted me. Yes I could have asked for help but the store is small so they clearly saw me! Not sure if it was because I'm young or otherwise. An associate even came and stood by the door to the exit where I was standing and just stood there not doing anything. I can only assume why... Also, lots of run down dumpy shoes they are over charging for (ex: Steve Madden worn shoes from three seasons ago for $50! Really?) Only positive is if you're a size 9 they have lots of high end unused, little used shoes (must of had a customer who brought their whole shoe collection in a 9). If you're any other shoe size absolutely nothing (unless you're interested in those dumpy Steve Madden's the designer boutique has). read more

BEWARE if you're selling. They announce a price but then decide, WITHOUT LETTING TOU KNOW, to sell your items for half price. So you only get half of what they told you you would. And when something gets sold you don't get notified. So you have to keep on checking with them. read more

Very pretentious and rude, the little blond girl working there was insanely offputing. She was rude the second I walk in the door. I brought in a few things to donate not realizing they were a "high end resale" shop and apparently because I brought my stuff in large black bag I apparently judged. She wasn't even interested in looking at anything in the bag and repeatedly said how they weren't interested in the type of stuff I had to offer. Let me reitterate, she never once looked in the bag. I lost 140lbs, my clothes were all in beautiful condition and quite high quality and many designer. I wasn't going to argue with her, she judged me the second I walked in and I let her, no point arguing with someone that ugly as a human being. I went here with the idea of trying to gift them to a small store and do something nice and felt spit on by this young lady. Some of the clothes were gifted from my aunt and had price tags on them of $200+, I even pulled out 2 dresses that had a tags on them and offered her to go ahead and keep them. She said no we don't want things like that yet they had dresses much the same all around, perhaps they didn't want plus size stuff??? Lord only knows. My twin wanted to go consignment shopping while we were visiting Las Vegas and this location came up in a search. The owner greeted us as soon as we walked in and was very helpful. She has quite a number of items in her store -- shoes, purses, some jewelry, scarves and clothes. Because I wear plus sizes, there were no items in my size -- but I knew that going in -- but my twin found a cute top at a really good price. I would recommend the store. read more
