I have never been treated so poorly. First time customer. I arrived early and apparently parked in the owner's parking spot (unmarked) and was harrassed and cursed at through cameras and in person thinking I wasn't a customer waiting for my appointment. Once you have the Reform experience, nothing quite compares. You reserve your time and day ahead of time so that when it's your turn, the focus is solely on you. There are never more than you and one other customer in at a time. It feels exclusive, you feel special, and get out feeling like a "reformed" man. Don and Michael are pretty much family to me and I've only been going there less than 2 years. The icing on the cake is their new location right near the rt 37 connector in Warwick which is clean, airy and inviting. Highly, highly recommend. read more

The Reform Men's Styling House has a system through Square where you book your appointment and pay the full amount in advance. I booked an appointment while staying local to the establishment, but later realized I would not be able to make the appointment. The Reform Men's website indicates that you should get a full refund if you cancel 12 hours in advance of the appointment. I emailed the business (since they don't list a phone) and canceled my appoint over 24 hours in advance yet I was still billed the full amount and I never received an email reply. Be warned that you will need to pay in full at the time of booking (which seems like an unconventional approach in this industry) and that you likely won't receive a refund if you need to cancel or change the appointment. The online tools do not give you a method of canceling yourself. Caveat Emptor. The stylists may be amazing in their craft, but my initial experience with their business practices and unusual booking/payment system left a sour taste in my mouth. read more

The new locale is awesome. Plenty of space and right off 37. The addition of the massage chair is a game changer. Get a soothing treatment with oxygen flowing and relaxing music. The perfect way to end your session. Highly recommend! Also note that post move to the new location, the owners are still hung like silverback gorillas. read more

NOT family friendly, and seemingly proud of it. When I was there one of the TVs had a show with nudity. The staff also talked trash about the women in their lives, using language I found offensive. The decor, for some reason, is heavy on bottles of whiskey. If you're OK with this hyper-macho, non-PC scene, then go-- the haircut was pretty good. read more

I was able to reach someone by phone to ask for a possible cancellation prior to Christmas. Surprisingly, he told me my son could come a 7 pm on Sunday. When he arrived a guy answered the door and told him that they had been closed since 5 and he didn't have an appointment. He slammed the door in his face. The man answering the phone took a name and phone number. Even if it was somehow an error or joke there was no need to be rude at the holidays or anytime. We will avoid any future contact with this business! read more

Great place, great shave. Found this place accidentally when I forgot to shave before our engagement photos. Loved it so much brought the groomsmen back for the wedding day shave even though my wedding was in Newport. Got a clean shave, mask and styled up my hair and We all looked great. Donald and Mike set up their own shop after leaving a more corporate setting. I have started going to their new place and now won't go anywhere else again. They have created a great environment for their customers, it is a relaxing getaway- even if it's just an hour- with good conversation, lots of laughs and great service. The technical skills of both gentlemen are impeccable and they go above and beyond to ensure a quality job is done. Last but not least, both of them work very hard to create a fun environment with their customers- they banter and make jokes and get everyone in the mix. It is not a shop for little kids to go to, but it was never advertised nor positioned that way, they have found their niche! This is not a business I recommend anybody going to. Mike seems decent and gives good haircuts, but Donald is the real poison pill of this place and will lead to its demise. Donald thinks he is a king and you as the customer are lucky that he is willing to cut your hair! Donald is rude, arrogant, and incessantly talks badly about his customers to other customers. He is constantly spilling secrets and bad mouthing his customers. The minute a customer walks out, he begins speaking badly about them. I've witnessed this almost every time I've gone there. If you must get your haircut here just be warned that anything you say will be repeated and you will be talked about behind your back the minute you step out the door. I'm sorry but that's not how I do business. Plenty of other options, don't waste your time with this joker. On top of it all, the quality has gone way down hill. It seems like they are struggling, so are rushing haircuts, refusing refunds, and ripping people off. Stay away! I'm generally a very patient person and don't often leave feedback, but this time I feel i must. Donald has been cutting my hair for several years starting when he was at another salon. When he left and opened his own place, I stayed with him. He does give a nice hair cut, but I've had enough and will never return. Over the years, he is typically (if not always) late - sometimes by up to an hour. On one visit a while back he was so late he had no idea what way was up. He mistakenly took the appointment that was supposed to follow me. As I could not wait any longer, he agreed to come in early the following morning. He showed up about 30 minutes late! Today, I had a 9:50 appointment. I arrived about 3 minutes late. I waited for about 20 minutes. I texted him and his partner tried to call. No response. This appointment was booked over a day earlier so there should have been no reason for him no to know about the appointment. I finally received a message around 10:30 indicating that he overslept. If that were the first instance, I could have excused it. As the third of fourth, not so much. I texted him back and indicated that I would not be returning. The best part was the phone call! He called a few minutes later suggesting that it was not appropriate for me to threaten him. I indicated that it was fact and not a threat - I value my time too much for his schedule. He proceed to yell at me, call me some inappropriate names and made several inappropriate comments and even threatened to come down and rough me up! I responded briefly and hung up. I would not consider the salon to be kid friendly despite seeing many there. The shows on TV are often violent and some graphic. Although I don't offend easily, the talk could be considered heavily offensive to many. I not a fan of the large number of whiskey bottles around either. None of those things would keep me from going there, but felt they were worth mentioning. There are two partners at the salon. My beef is mostly with Donald. I can't comment on Mike's timeliness. I've never witnessed any issues between he and his clients. He does contribute to the inappropriate comments with Donald. All said, they think it's a classy place, but it is far from it.
