Before I left on my business trip I planned to get a haircut and shave before I left, as usual I ran out of time, so when I arrived in Warwick first thing on my agenda was to get a god cut and shave. I am extremely picky when it comes to my hair. When I arrived in RI I downloaded the YELP app, I looked up barbers in the area and decided to go to Forty's Barber Shop (that is actually the new name of the Shop) based on the reviews that I read. When I walked through the door Dennis was busy with another client, he greeted me and told me he would be with me shortly. When he was finished with his previous client, he again greeted me and introduced himself. I told him what I was looking to have done. The previous reviews where so accurate, he is by far the most professional barber that has ever cut my hair, he cuts with great detail and is a perfectionist. He is a super nice guy to have a great conversation with, when I was finished with my cut and shave (he gives an awesome shave, just like in the old days) I felt that as if I had been coming here for years and new him as a friend. Dennis is by far the best in this field and you will not be disappointed. I only wish that I lived closer so I could come to him regularly. Forte's Barber Shop is, by far, one of the best barber shops in Rhode Island. I've lived all around the country looking for a great barber. After moving back to Rhode Island from Manhattan, I started going to Forte's Barber Salon. Mario Forte was great but he retired recently, but fortunately his successor, Dennis Hassell, is by far one THE BEST barbers I've ever been to. I'm a marketing director at a jewelry conglomerate so I'm very particular about my appearance. Beyond Dennis's friendly demeanor and excellent customer service, he pays meticulous attention to detail. In fact, when it comes to detail, he goes above and beyond what you might expect. I also like the atmosphere - barber shops in Rhode Island nowadays are run by kids in their twenties. Dennis Hassell, on the other hand, is experienced and is a complete professional. Most especially, I like that he still takes appointments on some days so I don't have to wait - I'm in, and I'm out, with no waiting. I appreciate this and it's very convenient for my schedule. I've had a well-known New York barber for a while, and when I moved to Rhode Island, Mario was one of the best around; so I can safely say, the new Forte's Barber Salon run by Dennis Hassell is seriously one of the best and is first class all the way. Like most guys I am a creature of habit and for over 20 years I went to the same barber. When Mario Forte decided to retire to sunny Florida I was at a lost as to where to go to get my rapidly diminishing hair cut. Fortunately for me Mario sold the business to Dennis Hassell. Dennis takes real pride in his work and makes sure every customer is 100% satisfied with the finished product. I use yelp to check on bussinesses that I use a lot. I was very surprised to see so many "not recommended" reviews for Dennis and his barber shop! I have been going to Dennis for many years and he is one of the best. Again, I don't know the filtering process of yelp however, I feel that he should have more than one recommended review.
