We stayed in the Executive Suites and I do not recommend. The room smelled of mildew and the bathroom was filled with mold. I don't recommend staying here at all.

Golf course yes..resort, a heck no!!!!! Rooms with stains all over carpet, mildew stains across entire shower, clear water damage from room above, and all wrapped in a not so subtle musty smell. The casual restaurant is what you would expect, but Glades was a train wreck. For a bill totaling just under $300 for a party of four with only two glasses of wine, to say we were disappointed would be an understatement. Veal was WAY over cooked, sea bass was certainly not fresh and near inedible. While the filet was fine it could not make up for the balance of the meal and the lackluster service. Come to golf, but leave immediately after.

Great value for the money - very friendly and helpful staff, tons of activities inside the resort, fantastic amenities including free shuttle, huge breakfast buffet, pool, on-site restaurants, and shopping. Spacious rooms, large bathrooms, comfortable beds. Can't wait to go back when we can stay longer and do more of what they offer! (Also, very close to Winterplace!)

It was dirty on check in with some questionable substances on the furniture. Do not recommend , even the other 2 options had torn furniture and sheets that had not been changed .

The property is nice. There were a couple of quirks here and there. The room we stayed in was one of many condo type houses on the perimeter of the hotel. There are four units in each. I think we were the only occupants of our building. There's a front room with a table, desk, lamp, pull out couch and a television. The second room has a bed and television. Across from the bathroom is a microwave, refrigerator (which wasn't cold) and a coffee maker. I didn't find the couch bed appropriate for my kid much less an adult. I would've spent the extra money for an additional bed. There a plastic lawn chair on the porch for sitting outside. A window was broken, a screen had a whole in it, the wood around the window is rotting, the bathroom has a heat lamp which is nice but it was stuck on all night because maintenance doesn't answer calls after a certain hour. Even the main hall in the hotel had some areas that hadn't been completely painted and rotted wood on the porch. The entertainment area is nice with a lot of activities. It's like a small ymca.We just happens to be the when the whole town was there, so it was crowded. Unfortunately, we weren't able to enjoy the fire pit. The were so many kids around it. The activity hall was also very crowded. The pool area, tennis, movies, basketball, gameroom and bowling is of site. It's a bit of a drive away. Luckily we were able to shower there after swimming. I had to shower hop to find a soap dispenser that actually contained soap. The breakfast is very nice. There are many options, hot and cold. Apparently we stayed too long. Paying customers who are there for breakfast before hitting the green. They were complaining about being there with their golf groups because this green is not up to par with other greens they've visited. Our things were cleared from our table before I even stood up. Anyone who lives in the area can pay a membership fee to use the facilities and dine there also. There were school and church groups here during or stay. Sitting on the porch of the main building in rockers listening to music after breakfast was nice. The music choice was unexpected. It's a kind of acoustic twist on today's music.

Spooky fun at Fright Nights at the Glade.

They refused to sell us balls because we weren't playing that course. The parking lot was empty except for 2 cars and the whole range was empty. It's a Monday at 9:30am so of course they aren't going to be busy. Now from a PGA member side. As a PGA member, golf courses almost always take care of other PGA members with free rounds, range balls, and discounted merchandise. I wasn't asking for anything free, just wanted to purchase a bucket of range balls. Glade is nothing special at all. I have worked at multiple top 20 courses in the nation and played almost all top 30 courses in the nation for free and Glade can't even SELL me range balls??? Truly shows how stuck up they are. Golf Digest doesn't even have this place ranked top 5 in the state and they think they are special. Would love a call one day asking to host some players from their course just so I can laugh in their face.

I didn't like the sprawl of the resort campus. Cars and shuttles required to go from room to pool or restaurant or leisure center. I get enough driving living in the suburbs. But it didn't bother my travel mates and I don't feel it merits a reduction in star rating.

This is quite possibly the best hotel in Beckley. Or at least it will be soon. When I stayed here…read morethey were in the midst of a major remodel. They, you might as well say, tore it down to the studs and are building it back up. In the remodel, they are making it nicer than it was. When we showed up, parking was ample. Even with all the space being taken up by the vehicles and materials for the remodel. You can park on all sides of this hotel, which is good. As on this road, it shares the road with other hotels, restaurants and fast food establishments. The biggest of highlights here is the staff. They were super helpful, knowledgeable, and on their game. Upon check in they were ready for us. They had everything lined up so that when we got to the front desk, all the had to do was get our ID and everything else was set. This was the quickest check in process I have ever gone through. Then we were off to the room. The room was spacious. King sized bed, couch setup that could turn into another sleeping spot if needed, fridge, streaming sign in capabilities. Obviously the rooms were the first thing they focused on in the remodel as they were all set to go. Some rooms have balconies. However, you are not going to get the best view and they are not that spacious. Supposedly, breakfast is included, but I didn't get a chance to partake. Other things currently available, and inhouse bar/restaurant, pantry area to grab a snack or drink, and maybe a gym. However, with a remodel, not everything is available and you need to be careful in navigating the area. Upon arrival and getting to my room, I needed to go back outside to grab something from my vehicle. I decided to go out the back door since the side door is currently unavailable, but honestly, the back door is probably unavailable as well. When I walked out there, it is like the pool/community space, but it really was part of the construction. Another low point of this stay was that there was a fraternity in house for a nearby event. At two o'clock in the morning, being woken up by those guys running up and down the halls is not fun. I was a bit shook by this, but went back to sleep. I know this isn't the hotel's fault, so I can't knock them. Another perk for this hotel is that they have an offer with a nearby restaurant. If you show them your room key you get a percentage off meal tab. That is if you remember to use it. I completely forgot to do this even though I dined there. Checking out was smooth as well. They were ready for us again. Everything was set and all we had to do was tell them we were on our way out.

The property is really nice, clean, quiet, and easily accessible. The prices are really reasonable. All of the staff was very friendly, but Thomas really stood out. Same experience as the first time. My only criticism is the continental breakfast. They do have waffles, but they didn't have any other real options beyond those tiny yogurts and some danishes or toast. It was OK because Tudor's Biscuit World is only 2 miles away and there's a Burger King across the street that has a pretty decent breakfast for cheap.
