Had my first appointment with Lux Massage and Spa after researching for a good massage place. I brought my mom with me for the 60 minute combo massage and it was absolutely lovely! When you enter the shop, they take your temperature and have you fill out a little form regarding health concerns, target areas (for the massage), and general info. Afterwards, they bring you to the massage room and leave you to change and lie down in a warm bed. Once the massage starts, they dim the lights and play relaxing music. I had Salina and my mom had Matt assist us for the massage. They were both very kind and professional, offering us water and hot tea prior to and after the session. Salina was great and focused a lot on the areas I had knots, specifically my shoulders and neck. She was very skilled and I felt relaxed and comfortable the entire time. Especially the stretching and hot stones. My mom also absolutely enjoyed her session and felt much better afterwards. She had been complaining a lot about shoulder and foot pain but said it loosened up a lot. Matt used the right amount of pressure for her and she immediately bought the multipack for 3 90 minute sessions afterwards! She had been reluctant to get another massage after her last masseuse quit and she's happy she has another place to go to from now on. 10/26/20 Today I had to cancel an appointment with Liya, but even after having to cancel our very first appointment, Liya still invited me to come by and see her humble abode. It is a nice abode too. Liya (who is the owner of this establishment) greeted me warmly after we had spoken a while back. The office is nicely decorated with some pictures from her native lands. The flooring is a nice neutral color and each private room has it's own name and own color room. One room has a wonderful scent of lemongrass to inhale as calm music plays in the room. The table mattress looks nice and inviting too. I suspect the table can be heated during the colder days for each client that shows up. There is a couples massage room for those who wish to get a massage together. I will add there is likely to be more services added to this establishment very soon. This is what I was told by Liya. I think this business will be going many places by the way I have see her treat her guests. This place seems to be very busy so calling to set up an appointment is the only way of getting into seeing her and her team. I hope to get my experience at a massage here. I do appreciate the guided tour; as well, as meeting another fellow Yelper starting her own business. I will be back here soon. read more

The massage beds are nice and warm and the masseuses always ask where you would like them to focus. They take your input very seriously. I wanted to treat myself to my first ever massage after completing a 10K race and after some research, I decided upon this spot. They have a special deal for first-timers where you can choose any massage for only $79. The front desk was helpful in explaining the different massages and recommended one of the combination ones since that's a popular one. I ended up choosing Combo #2 which included a Thai massage, deep massage, hot stones, and stretching. The room had a soothing aura to it - relaxing music, nice scent, and dim lighting. The bed that I laid on was soft and heated and felt so good. I think my masseuse was named Matt. He was good about checking that I was comfortable and that the pressure wasn't too much. I had asked to put a little more focus on the back and he found a sore spot that I had forgotten about and helped relieve that. My favorite part were the hot stones. They felt amazing as he placed them on my body and massaged with them. The stretching also felt good - I should note that I'm pretty flexible so I never felt any strain when he did it. I was so sad when it was over because I felt very relaxed. They also offer water and tea afterwards if you want it. I'm really glad that I chose this place and I'll definitely have to come back again to treat myself! read more

Not only was Liya incredibly good at what she does, she also took the time to explain to me what was happening, where I was experiencing issues, and why according to my lifestyle. Massages are mediocre to good at best. My main issue with this place is the lack of accountability and customer service. Was sold a package of 4 "couples" massages that was clearly stated to both myself and my partner. Then when we go in for what we assumed was a use of this package was told it was 4 individual massages. This may have been due to language barrier but it was definitely sold to our understanding as 4 couples massages, which implies 4 massages for 2 people, not 4 massages for 1 person. Then after paying for the last massage after a back and forth with the manager I was charged again without my approval. We were already thinking about switching places due to the underwhelming massages, but after the whole package bait and switch and extra charges we will actively tell people to avoid this spot. read more

I had to find a new place to get my monthly massage since my old masseuse had to take a leave from work. Lux massage were recommended to me. I have chronic pain for a long time and if the massage was not good, it won't work for me. Basically a waste of money so I really need to find a good one who has knowledge especially with chronic condition. Matt, went above and beyond! I like deep tissue massage to get those knots and he delivered well. I fell asleep during the massage and felt very relax after. I was able to do things like a normal person for like 10 days without any pain. Thank you Matt and keep up the great work. This locations is 20-30mins drive from my home and a bit pricey compare to others but it's all worth the investment to take care of your health and wellness. She cares about her clients and always gives them her best. She does a mix of Thai and Swedish massage.
