My facial was whatever. Will I come back? No. All the extracurricular things that occurred makes this a no for me. They must work on professionalism which is clearly a problem as per other reviews and now my experience. Let me explain: So my appointment started at 12pm. I arrived at 12:06 with my friend. My friend was immediately started on but I had to wait until 1215. So my lady was Claire. We are just about to start needling (I got the Groupon) and the door rings so she goes to get it. 15 minutes later I am sitting here feeling dumb. A little girl comes in the room and tells the lady doing my friends face that the pizza is ready. Did she leave me to eat lunch? I get the idea that 12 is lunchtime and we were 6 minutes late but why book appointments at this time just to not be truly invested or ready to work. Edit! I bought a Groupon for three facials and because of that I went to all three appointments. This lady doesn't use anything professional or special. She absolutely does not give a one hour facial and she does not relax you. She starts late, washes your face, uses some weak suction device (that I'm guessing never gets cleaned) then slops some cold goo on you and leaves the room for 1/2 hour and comes back and dots lotion over the goo and tells you she's done. Then asks for a tip as you leave. It's insane. If you're going to send me home with the moisturizer goo then why do I need to lay there for 30 minutes?!?! Because the actual facial took all of 15 minutes of her time. Don't waste your time or money. read more

I enjoy my experience here at Aura skin and Body. I purchased a groupon for Microdermabrasion and it was quite simple to redeem- you just have to call and set up the appointment etc. The Microdermabrasion was painless and the part with her actually using the machine was probably the shortest part of the appointment and after she did that she also put on a hydration mask on my face which was cool and nice. You can tip with cash or card but their preference is cash and they will allow you to get the groupon price again for their services if you just call them. The appointment lasted an hour so not to long or short. I would definitely go again. read more

I purchased a Groupon for anti-aging facial and I believed I gained more wrinkles in my visit. The only esthetician present: Junnie was also working the phone and the front desk while attending to two clients/facials at the same time. Her service was rushed and she didn't make me feel relaxed at all during my facial. She raised her voice because I told her that I didn't want her to use a needle in my face to burst a pimple I had. She then et me with two masks on for 15 minutes each while she went to attend another client . The whole experience was a waste. If they can't hire front desk receptionist, then at least do not overbook and work on two people at the same time when you only have one worker doing everything! I am offended by Junnie demeanor. It's not just about making money and accommodating as many people as possible. Professionalism counts! Hope anybody who reads this post would not waste their hard earned money on this place! She also redeemed my Groupon voucher a day ahead of my visit. - so I couldn't access it anymore the day of. Nobody has ever done that, because accidents can happen and people may need to reschedule or cancel last minute...and you can't even access your Groupon voucher anymore. I have used multiple Groupon deals for facials and this place will keep my business. I went here for an acne facial after a year of wearing masks and some bad maskne! They really cleaned my whole face. Other places just did here and there. Then she offered me a deal for micro needling since I had so many scars for the acne. She carefully spent two hours on that appointment. She is very thorough. My skin is looking great after just two weeks. I purchased a package deal of 3 anti-aging facials on Dec 30, 2019. I used 1 that day and made an appointment for the following month. Due to family issues, I re-scheduled my Feb app't to March, and of course, then the pandemic hit. The manager/owner kept texting me that my expiration date was in March, if I understood correctly. I kept trying to tell her that no one had mentioned an expiration date to me, and she must have written the note in the wrong file. I did re-schedule to May 4, and then of course, the Governor shut everything down. Due to my senior citizen age!!, I gave up trying to schedule an appointment and in fact, stopped going anywhere, except 6:00am to the grocery store for senior citizen hour and a few appointments with my doctor. Fast foward to 2021, and I got my 2 vaccine shots in spring, and on May 28th, the Governor lifted all restrictions. I made an appointment for June 14, 2021 and received my 2nd facial. However, I was told that the 3rd facial had expired in 2020 and they would not honor it. Didn't matter that there was a pandemic or the Governor shut the state down. I ordered a groupon for Aura for couples facials and although it was our first one I assumed there would be two estheticians in the room but it was just one woman hopping back and forth between us. Another dissatisfied Groupon review. I purchased this directly on Groupon, looking for a spa that is open on Saturdays. The Groupon said nothing about only being used M-fri. Google lists the hours as being open on Saturday. I called and asked to schedule an appointment on a Saturday. First she was going to do it, then she said they're not open on Saturdays, then she appeared to say they won't take Groupon customers on Saturday, which if that's the truth, should be made clear on the Groupon itself...she couldn't show me where it was on the Groupon. I don't know who writes good reviews about this place! It's absolutely NOT a professional place! I bought a groupon for aqua microdermabrasion. First of all, when you call to make an appointment, the lady on the phone tells you she will text you the day before the appointment to give you an address! How weird! It's advertised like a spa place of business, but it isn't. It's a little door with a room with one person there treating two women at the same time in a residential complex. The aqua dermabrasion experience normally is done with an aqua dermabrasion machine. This is not the case at this place. She uses a wand with no professional hook up to go with it. She uses a low suction wand that does nothing that a home device could not do! It's NOT a professional person with a professional machine. Then she rubs Neutrogena SPF on your face for 30 minutes. Top it all off--She ASKS for her tip at the end of it!!!! Who does that!!! This is a lady that is taking your money. It is not done by a licensed person. The tool she uses is not a professional tool. Without that knowledge and the correct tools, how can anyone let this person touch their face? Be careful, without the right credentials, this person could damage your skin. read more

I started off with a Groupon. Prior this place I went to two other places and for various reasons kept looking for a place where I could become a regular client and be 100% satisfied. I've been going to AURA for over a year now and couldn't be more happier with the procedures and the results! Claire does an outstanding job! I go there for microdermabrasion mainly (recently tried micro-needling too, the result was noticeable!). So i came here for a facial & eye lashes. Everyone was super nice during the whole process. It was my first time getting a chemical peel & i was nervous because of all the horror stories i had heard about ppl getting burned. But the technician made sure i was comfortable, showed me the bottle & assured me, i had nothing to worry about. She did amazing job and wiped 10 years of stress off my face. I was also concerned about getting my eyelashes done for the first time bcuz many nail salons use hair glue. But the technican assured me she use certified lash glue and showed me the bottles & lashes she would b using. They also had a promotion going on $70 lashes. If I could give zero or negative I would. I never even got a facial. I called the number to set up an appointment. I understand the hours, I saw the website, which states Groupon customers only mon-fri. I had called and asked if I could schedule an appointment for Saturday, just because of my schedule, whoever I spoke to on Wednesday said yes and we scheduled for 11:30 on Saturday the 27th. I even got a confirmation text, which I responded to. Come the appointment day. I get there 15 mins early. I put the address in the gps, got to where the gps said the building was, pull up and the building number is different. So I begin to look for the building number on the website, found the building(which was on the other side of the lot), but couldn't locate the "office". I called her twice and texted her that I was in the parking lot and couldn't find the location. I waited for half an hour after my appointment started. She decides to respond (not call me back) to my text saying she has been waiting for 30 mins and to reschedule during mon-fri. I was outraged, because I'm over here blowing you up! On top she made it sound like I was at fault for not knowing their hours! Like lady, I called and made this appointment, this isn't out the blue. They ended up refunding me for the return price so I lost money over lack of professionalism. After the appointment I looked at yelp and saw this is a normal situation apparently. read more

Susie did a hydro microdermabrasion facial and I feel fantastic. It was definitely needed and she also did extractions. The extractions was $20 extra and a little painful but basically anything hurts me so you may be more tolerant. Very relaxing! I used a Groupon deal which helped and she said they matched Groupon pricing thereafter. I'm curious to see what my face will look like tomorrow. She recommended coming every week and that's a huge commitment for me so I'm opting every 2 weeks or once a month. I was treated the worse in my life from Claire, I purchased a Groupon for three microdermabrasion and scheduled an appointment with her, I was late by 10mins due to an emergency, I tried to make her understand with me but she canceled me, and asked me to make another one week appointment, on my way to her place, 20mins to my appointment, she called and asked me to rescheduled again for the second time. She did the two microdermabrasion, and she give me nine days appointment for my last treatment, I didn't receive any text or call from her. For my own suprised!! I went to the place and I was told they move out to another place, but no body knows where they move to, not a text or a called from Claire. I called and texted her more than 5 times no response from anyone. She is good on her job. The only problem is trust issues, you can't trust her. They lose money when we purchase through groupon because they have to pay a fee. They offer the same price when purchasing directly through Aura with cash. Definitely worth every penny and more! I purchased a Groupon and scheduled an appointment. Claire, the only person who seems to work there, canceled my appointment the morning of. I was scheduled for a 9AM. I didn't receive the text (she should have called), so I ended up traveling 40 minutes just to find out I needed to reschedule. Then she came back to tell me she was booked for the next six weeks. Very disappointing. In addition, she doesn't speak very good English. She was unable to get me to someone who could. I had verbally and by writing asked several questions (my skin is super sensitive and this was my first time). She failed to answer ANY of them, most likely due to the language barrier. I was forced to schedule with another salon. Groupon gave me a credit so I used that towards my next purchase which was at AVI spa. I'm so glad I went here...
