We used this business in 2021 and 2022. I think they may be out of business or under new ownership…read morenow but when we used them the first year we had some problems with the facilities but we figured it was a one off thing. The next year we had problems with so many things including no running water for the entire time we were in one of the cabins, problems with the kitchen appliances and other things. What we realized was they were not maintaining the property and things were not getting maintained or repaired. In addition, they substantially raided their prices. As much as we liked the setting, we decided to find another place for our annual event.

There are so many things to say about Memory Mountain at Wolf Laurel as a whole, let alone this…read moreparticular listing on the property. We held our wedding here and our guests occupied all five cabins that Steve and Joy Powell have listed. The cabins themselves are gorgeous, every one we visited was grander than the next. They are furnished well, have plenty of supplies for cooking and cleaning (to make your stay mostly worry-free!) and the beds were actually really comfortable! I cannot say enough good things about Steve and how he accommodated every request we had to make the wedding venue absolutely perfect and ensure our guests had a wonderful stay. For the price per cabin, you really cannot find a better deal. Memory Mountain at Wolf Laurel is quiet, serene, and simply breath-taking. Now, with all of this being said, a word to the wise: this is a very do-it-yourself vacation or venue. If you're not willing to set up your space (i.e. bringing your own food to cook; moving indoor and/or outdoor furniture to create the perfect event space) then this place is not for you! If you have a vision, help from others staying on site, and time, then do yourself a huge favor and BOOK. You won't regret it. I only wish we could have spent more time here - three nights simply wasn't enough to enjoy everything (hiking, fishing, swimming, etc) that this amazing place has to offer! Thank you Steve and Joy! We worked with Taylor and she did an excellent job from start to finish. We had close to 150 guests on a Sunday afternoon. Parking was not a problem now that the parking lot across the street was finished. The menu that Taylor suggested was perfect. We had desserts and fruit along with cheeses etc. the carrot cake was to die for. Plenty of seating and very accessible even for all guests. This worked well for our family since some of my siblings are out of town. The only thing we brought with us were flowers for the tables. No clean up! We were able to stream music of our choice on their equipment. The venue was clean and was decorated great! My wife and myself have attended many weddings both in town and out of town at some very special places. I can tell you this space was among the best. Great job, and my parents will remember this day forever. Thank you!

We brought alcohol and wasn't aware we couldn't, and they confiscated it and was suppose to return it at the end of the reception and we never received it. The open bar we paid $1,500 consisted of a 1/2 keg, pony keg, and 100 margaritas that were in prob 8oz plastic cups and some wine. We were given money back for the wine that wasn't opened which was $150-170. The employees that ran the cocktail bars and food were nice and professional, but the management people were hateful and unpleasant.
