My mother lived at Clearbrook Inn for almost three years before her passing. It is a clean,…read morewell-furnished facility with competent, caring staff. I especially appreciated how the two activity directors reached out to my mom and other residents, encouraging them to join in the many social activities provided at Clearbrook. While not pushy, Marty and Marsha became personally friendly with Mom, and made it easy for Mom to say "yes" to opportunities such as sewing, crafts, news time, music events, and cooking. I had the pleasure of joining Mom at several parties around the holidays. They were joyful events. I ate several meals at Clearbrook and found the food to be nutritious and tasty. Mom sat with the same 3 ladies at each meal. My hunch was that staff figured out who would be most likely to get along and enjoy one another and some good friendships developed as a result of how tablemates were handled. There are many kind caregivers who helped Mom and she had her favorites. One was named Nora. Nora was also helpful to me when Mom's memory declined. When Mom had difficulty remembering how to dress herself in the morning, Nora described how she helped her dress, but as much as possible set things up so Mom could do part of her own dressing and preserve her dignity. Also, I appreciated how Clearbrook coordinated with Moms' physicians. I found the nurses to be helpful and kind. One complaint is that at one point, Mom's level of care rating called for her to have assisted showers. There were gaps in that service. I understand that a change in staffing is the explanation for that oversight. Nonetheless, I give Clearbrook an overall Excellent rating. After a year, Mom accepted Clearbrook as her home.

If you are new to the area, I recommend considering other apartments before signing here. I've…read morelived here for 8 months and management consistently fails to address issues raised by residents. While the property initially appears appealing because of its modern design and amenities, the level of service and follow-through does not match what is promised. When I moved from overseas to this area for military orders, I felt pressured to secure housing quickly. The leasing office offered a "first month free" promotion, which made the property seem like a great deal at the time. Since moving in, I've had ongoing issues with motion-sensor lighting in my laundry and shoe closets. Management stated this was a property-wide issue and that they were investigating a permanent solution, but there has been no visible progress and the same response is given when the issue is raised again. A pattern I've noticed is a shift of responsibility from management to residents. Utility costs are distributed in a way that includes empty units, with the reassurance that prices will drop once the property reaches full occupancy. However, the billing breakdown lacks transparency, making it difficult for residents to verify how costs are calculated. Residents are also expected to purchase and replace their own refrigerator water filters, which is surprising for a property marketed as a premium apartment community. The package room is advertised as secure, but the door is frequently faulty and does not lock properly. Trash costs are also variable and based on community volume, yet management does not appear to monitor oversized items like mattresses or furniture, which increases costs for all residents. The buildings look nice on the surface, but management and follow-through do not match the image presented during leasing. If I had known about these issues beforehand, I would have chosen a different property. Please manage your expectations before signing a lease here.

Amenities have started to open up, and they're really nice. The new fitness center is modern and well-equipped, and the clubhouse has a DIY espresso machine, which is such a fun touch. They're aiming to have the 80-ft infinity pool ready by the end of summer 2025, and I'm hoping once that's open we'll start seeing more community events or pool parties. Would love a chance to meet more of my neighbors! My unit stays super cool even during hot days thanks to the in-unit A/C. The finishes are sleek, but not everything was designed with shorter folks in mind--shower heads, cabinets, and even the microwave are all placed a bit high, which can be frustrating. Parking can be a challenge--the pillars in the garage are awkwardly placed and make getting in and out of the car harder than it should be. Also, the roads in the complex are narrow and curvy. I really think they should add speed bumps for safety. It's a dog-friendly community (lots of pups around!), and while there are poop bag stations, not everyone picks up after their dog, so that can be annoying. All that said, it's a beautiful place with a lot of potential. I'm excited to see the rest of the development come together!
