We had our third child enter the world yesterday on February 16, 2018. He's a healthy baby boy. We get to hang here at Harrison for another day. The RN's have been great, and a huge help to my wife. Labor and Delivery/Postpartum Recovery review. I was really worried about the care I would receive from a "smaller" hospital (our first kid was born in a large city hospital). The staff here have been phenomenal. From L&D triage to the nurse that helped me after recovery have been caring, reassuring, professional, and sympathetic. I highly recommend this hospital for L&D. Worst hospital ever !!! I waited 9 hours to be seen for pneumonia and a fever. They literally admitted they forgot about me , they gave me medication I told them would make me throw up. It did only good part my nurse was nice and told the truth !!! She said verbatim. This place is a sh?T show. read more

Took my wife to the ER for issues she was having, not very crowded but still very slow. Problem was with how dirty the place was. Was warned by security when sitting in the waiting room to be careful of the fresh blood on the floor. We were there roughly 5 hours before leaving and the blood was still there. Room looked like housekeeping hadn't been there in a couple of weeks. Just a very unsanitary environment. read more

Well, hospitals are not the most fun things to talk about but when you need to visit one, you sure hope that the experience turns out ok. I had a bit of an incident playing lumberjack that required that I get somewhere fast and since we called ahead they were waiting for me when I arrived. From the receptionist through the doctors and nurses all made a real bad situation as good as one could hope for. I am a total wimp with blood, needles and now staples but after they got the bleeding stopped (out of immediate danger) they worked with me to get me ready for the staples and tetanus shot. All in all, as good as an experience as one could hope for given the situation. Thanks guys and gals! read more

My cat finally snapped and tore up my arm, leg, and hip. I was gonna walk it off, but since there was flesh sticking out of my arm I was forced to go here by the parental units. This was a few years back by the way. Admittance was fast and efficient. However, they had some intern-looking guy barely older than my 17 year old self literally poking my external arm bits back in with a wood stick. I was too much of a G to say anything but the whole thing was crude. Couldn't sew me up because of Cat Scratch Fever so now I have these scars that make me look like a leprosy victim. Fast forward to today. I've been trying to make an appointment but I'm already lost. Here's to hoping I don't die of preventable causes because of Capitalist America. read more

Delivered my baby at Harrison and had an amazing experience. I was really nervous about delivering here since I had read many bad reviews on yelp/google. But from my experience it was GREAT! I had 2 nurses take care of me ( Tammy -day shift, Michelle- night shift ) and these lady's were heavenly sent ! Laughably bad service with much worse billing. Daughter had a facial cut that appeared to need stitches, we took her to the ER (after hours for urgent care) where we were told there was nothing they could do other than clean the wound (not even a bandaid). Bill for the 15 minutes of care? $1500. Asked the representative in billing who to talk to about escalating and how to get an itemized bill (since $1500 seems pretty high for what was literally a nurse cleaning a cut), was told that the hospital offers no mechanism for escalation before the representative hung up on me. read more

Currently in the emergency room have been here for 4 hours with no nurse checking up on us while we wait I had to ask for a blanket for my girlfriend and then wait for it . We had no service while we where here I DONT WAIST YOUR TIME drive to the one in Bremerton. read more

We had the best possible experience here at Harrison. While my wife went into labor with our first they discovered she has preeclampsia. The staff and nurses were kind, caring, attentive, and comforting. The doctors though very busy with many patients and not able to be in the room much are fantastic!!! If you are looking for a lot of interaction with the OB during labor and postpartum this may not be the best hospital for you. But I can say with great certainty that Harrison went above and beyond with the birth of our son! read more

I had a very good experience with Harrison Hospital last month when I had to have a kidney stone surgically removed via "Same Day Surgery" and I was out the door and on my way home a few hours later. My doctor, Dr. Manus Jane, did everything just as he described he would and all was done without any nightmarish outcomes. Now the problem is gone and I am very happy with the entire Harrison Staff and with Dr. Jane's Staff too. Thanks! read more

I went to this hospital on a Friday night due to excessive bleeding from a surgery I had 1 week prior. I called the hospital 15 minutes in advanced, while I was on my way. When I arrived, I had lost a lot of blood and was shaking and intermittently crying, with anxiety, weakness, and chills. The staff was indifferent and interacted with me like I was perfectly fine. I had to wait in the waiting room for over 30 minutes and then my room for well over an hour before the doctor visited me. At this point, I had lost enough blood to receive a transfusion. Notably, when the nurses inserted my IV, my limbs and stomach froze and went numb and everyone commented on my high heart rate (around 150). I realized later that this was likely due to extreme anxiety. However, the nurses continued to act relatively indifferent. I was only able to stabilize because my husband held my hand and did our yoga breathing exercises with me; the staff didn't even think to soothe me or give me anxiety meds. This experience really concerned me, because I realized that I could die or become permanently disabled due to inadequate ER care. What if I had waited longer to go to the ER and thus lost more blood? What if my husband wasn't there to monitor me carefully and urge the hospital staff to see me sooner (I was weak and in a wheelchair)? I gave two stars because I was eventually seen by a doctor who was friendly and did a very nice job. read more

Horrible and traumatizing experience. Had to go to ER in the evening after surgery in Bellevue to get a catheter placed. Two RN'S and a tech tried 6 times before finally getting someone actually competent from Labor and Delivery. I told them to use an infant, but they tried adult then child. They kept moving me around even though my stomach has hundreds of stiches, a pain pump, and 2 drains. One even tried taking my pain pump! I was crying and in so much pain because they kept trying and they'd leave one in while trying another. My husband and mother were getting upset with how much pain tgey were putting me through. They couldn't put it in correctly at all. Finally someone got a L&D nurse. She was amazing, used an infant catheter, and got it in one try with minimal pain. The physician's assistant was very nice, but my assigned dr never even showed up. I openly complained about the incompetence of tge two RN'S and tech, especially since one boasted she'd been putting catheters in all week. If I ever need a catheter again I'm only letting a L&D nurse touch me with an infant one. I'm never letting them try 7 times again!! The only reason they are getting even 1 star is because of nurse Kelly and Bernie. Bernie took over being my nurse after the 3 ladies were done torturing me. He was great and told us if we never need to ask questions call and ask for him directly so we actually get help. read more

Brought my wife in suffering from extreme kidney pain. They checked her vitals and then ignored her for two hours. We left and got faster and better care from a local urgent care clinic. I will recommend that people avoid Harrison medical whenever possible. read more
