If you love supporting small business owners & love anime, then this is the place to go. Located in the heart of Peekskill you can find this great comic book / figures & more shop. The customer service is very friendly & the atmosphere is outstanding. Only issue I would have is that they run out of the figures I'm looking for fast. Which is a great issue to have. I definitely recommend this place.

Super nice staff. They let us know if we needed anything they were there to assist. We looked over some comics, could not make a decision, and promised to think about it. Never did we feel pressured or uncomfortable. Around 8:45 PM we both pulled the trigger and drove back. It was lively in there. People playing board games, having dinner together, and having a good time. It looked so cool to see different people sharing dinner and having fun. We purchased a set of comics and are very happy with the condition and price. Cool spot.

While I understand that GameStop employees are expected to promote memberships and protection plans, the level of pressure felt excessive. Even so, I remained polite and declined the offers multiple times. What really bothered me was how Charles' attitude completely changed after I said no for the final time -- he went from friendly and upbeat to visibly annoyed, giving one-word answers and clearly losing interest in helping me. When I thanked him for the sale, he just said "mhm" and walked away without another word. It made what should've been an exciting purchase feel uncomfortable and awkward. I don't blame the sales process, but the customer service attitude afterward was disappointing enough that I don't plan to return to this location, and this really makes me rethink shopping at GameStop at all.

Normally GameStop would be three stars for me, but between customer service online (unrelated to…read morethis location), another location altogether, and now this one, I'm feeling generous at the moment. Most GameStops are stocked the same with the only differences being certain used game titles being in stock and some of the toys/collectables. Unfortunately, whenever a new platform comes out the older games start to get phased out but that has been a GameStop thing for a long time now. This location had a pretty good selection overall of titles from the 3 platforms I searched. Everything was organized, clean, and neat. The lone employee in the front was very friendly. Parking is plentiful, though keep in mind you're in the busy Cortlandt Town Center with a lot of bad drivers coming into this lot. With physical media unfortunately trying to get phased out, I'm not sure how much time GameStop has left to be sustainable, but it's still nice to go while we can. Overall a good location and one I'd visit again if in the area.

Out front, they have life-size figures of both classic and modern characters from movies and games -- and the contrast is wild. E.T. is standing right next to Art the Clown, which pretty much tells you what kind of place this is. You'll definitely want to take pictures. Inside the store, there's a huge assortment of games, toys, plush, collectibles, and pop-culture items packed into every corner. You'll find everything from modern fandom pieces to classic toys from the '80s, which adds to the fun of browsing. Some of the more common items can feel a bit overpriced, but it's also clear that some of what they sell is harder to find, so pricing likely reflects rarity on certain pieces. It's the kind of store where you're as much there to look around as you are to buy something. I ended up walking out with a cute Wolfman plush, so mission accomplished. Definitely a fun stop if you're into collectibles, nostalgia, or just want to see something different while at the mall.

It honestly feels like one of the last spots in the city where you can walk in and see this huge, slightly chaotic collection of games and consoles all in one place. The Nintendo 64 section is probably my favorite part. They have so many different variations it's kind of nostalgic overload in the best way. And they've also started adding video game soundtrack vinyls which is really dope and fits the vibe perfectly. The staff is also super cool and really knowledgeable without being overbearing. Just don't go in only to browse. Try to grab something if you can, even if it's just one of the anime themed sodas or a small piece of merch. Places like this really feel like they deserve the support so they can stick around.
