It was billed as one of the top 5 haunted houses in the country…read more I've been through at least 20 that I would put in front of it including a first year show in the woods in Vernon, FL. Wanted to surprise my wife with a great haunted house and it was anything but. It was Nov 1. Maybe half the staff didn't come to work that day? There were extremely long segments where it would have made sense to have additional characters. If it was free or even a local fundraiser with volunteers it would be an ok house. Don't waste your money on this one.

We were so excited to see JAX was having a Taco Fest 2019 It turned out to be a wet, rainy day (who would think it would rain in August in Downtown Jacksonville..lol) But that did not stop TRUE taco lovers from heading to downtown JAX/Hemming Park to enjoy some of the Taco goodness Jacksonville FL has to offer.. Lines were long, umbrellas we're out and it took some Ninja moves and a shot of Patron to make it around w/out poking someone's eye out.. I was not injured and no one got injured by me..I call that a successful festival.. All in all it was a successful event for family's, paws, couples.. Bring on Taco Fest 2020 And last but not least.. Big thanks to all people that came out to enjoy the Taco Fest without any bad mojo..It was a safe and peaceful event.. Something we take for granted at times.. Taco on..

Went here for one of their craft nights and Rebecca was a wonderful host and instructor. We made some fun coasters and terrarium and got to talk to interesting people and made a few friends. It's a great space and location and I'm looking forward to coming here again; maybe even for one of their acting classes... that sounds like fun!

This is my 3rd year in a row going to Colors of the Wild at the Jacksonville Zoo. It was amazing…read morethe first year but keeps getting better! There are so many cool animal "lanterns" and just lights everywhere. I am glad they extend it until February because December is always busy. I will go every year they have it!

The staff was friendly, knowledgeable, and kind. You could be through and done in 20 min or take your time and be there a couple hours.

The USS Orleck Naval Museum is definitely a must when visiting Jacksonville!…read more This amazing museum is located at the old shipyard (pretty close to the baseball stadium). They have their own free parking for up to two hours. However, there's not many spots so I would recommend coming early. We visited on a Saturday morning and we were the first ones there. The people volunteering were amazing and gave us the full story behind the ship. After learning from them, I felt like we had an even better understanding of the things we were learning from the self-guided tour. One cool thing compared to other ships turned into museums, if that this one actually had a lot of interactive elements. However, keep in mind that some of the videos and sounds can be very loud, so if you are with someone sensitive to loud sounds, perhaps skip those. At the end of the tour they have a small gift shop with some cool items, included ship coins (in case there are any collectors out there). They also had the Navy 250th anniversary coin, which I thought was really cool.

I was glad to see a group this size downtown & loved that many had taken the time to decorate a special lantern! My hope was that I would see a long line of beautiful lanterns winding its was along the river to downtown - the lights from the Riverwalk kinda drowned out the lanterns. But it was awesome seeing so many families exercising & enjoying downtown Jax! There was a band at RAM & another as you approached the train bridge - very cool and really added to the nite! There was even a small fireworks show to round out the night. A couple of downsides - I'm not sure everyone knew why they were there & I never knew what the parade route was. Hopefully there will be a little more info next year as this event continues to Grow!

The "field" or "arena" is pretty darn amazing and they do an awesome job at converting it. The field is 50 yards long (with maybe another 5 yards for each end zone) and is narrow. There's protective padding up around the entire field to not only protect the players, but also to protect the fans who happen to be sitting in the first row (or even first few rows). Nets are up at each end zone which allows the ball to bounce back in. Although, sometimes it does get past the net and into the crowd, but it's always thrown back in. They have a very nice jumbotron in the center which is very clear, but it's not really necessary b/c for these arena football games, there's not really a bad seat in the house. Concessions are, of course, astronomical. We paid $19 for 1 soda, 1 beer, and 1 order of nachos. Yea.... like I said... astronomical. But you are at a sporting event, so do you really expect any thing less?! =) I can't compare it to any other arena football "fields" because I haven't seen any others, but this one is pretty darn cool, so when and if I ever do see another one, it'll have a lot to live up to.

Veteran's…read moreMemorial Arena is converted into Sea Best Field, which is a fifty yard field with padded walls surrounding its entirety. The walls serve as protection for players and fans alike. The small size of the field allows for fans to see the action on the field clearly no matter where their seats are located. The jumbotron in the center of the arena is a decent size and is very clear. The goalposts are much smaller and it became obvious that extra points weren't going to be simple to come by, as the Sharks kicker missed two PATs right off the bat! The concession prices are well..sports event prices ($5.00 nachos, $6.00 soda in souvenir cup with $1.00 refills on day of purchase, and a $8.00 bottled beer). I highly suggest eating before hand if at all possible, unless you have extra money set aside for the game! We hope to attend another Sharks game in the future!

They have a decent selection at the concession stand such as popcorn, nachos, etc. The usual. Prices are really good on the concessions too. The only real complaint I have is the wheelchair seating area during the sports games is in an awkward place. It's upstairs in one corner of the arena. That's all. There's only room for a few wheelchairs to be there at one time and with each wheelchair, a companion chair gets taken away. Now I've always been there with just my husband and he sits next to me in a chair, but I still get a literal crick in my neck because of the way I have to sit and watch the games. It must really suck for college students who can't sit with their friends. UNF needs to seriously do something about the wheelchair situation. So other than that gripe, there's plenty of stadium seating for everyone with pretty comfortable seats with arms. Again, nice little arena.

Over all I enjoyed the games as I am a major…read moresports fan, but I really wish UNF could update the stadium, even if it's just to make it more asthetically pleasing. The grass in and around the field is kept in good shape, but during games I've noticed there have been issues with the outfield grass; players for either team have been running and suddenly stumble in certain spots. Parking can be an issue depending upon the time of the game. The parking lot near the UNF Arena is designated for students with a parking pass, although if you purchase a daily parking pass, look on the pass to see lots you're allowed to park. The parking lot on the other side of Hodges Stadium and Harmon Stadium does have a signifigant number of parking spaces, although a number of these are used by students who use the Arena and gym facilities on a regular basis. The parking garage across from the arena is another area to park; however, only on certain levels (see daily pass), and spaces are limited. The staff at the stadium is made up of interns and paid employees, so the friendliness of staff tends to vary. I have yet to eat or drink anything at the games from the concessions. There are vending machines located inside of the UNF Arena at the opposite end. So I suggest stopping here or maybe at the Student Union Center across from the Arena. There are several places to pick up a cold beverage or something to eat depending upon the time of day you're there.
