It was for Filipino Heritage Night and I loved how they represented the Filipino culture with the Filipino honorary consult getting to throw the first pitch and then having the Filipino national anthem song as well. They also had a Filipino food truck there called Sa Mesa, which is always so delicious so we got that for dinner and watched the game. The seats were nice and shaded, which I appreciated and the stadium is clean and nice. I ended up catching a ball, which was so exciting and very memorable! We ended up winning and it was so much fun and I will definitely be back for another fun night here!

Even though it was packed for the Rodeo, there was ample seating, ample areas to eat, and various vendors (food and otherwise). There are elevators if you need them, and the bathrooms are large. There is ample parking, so you don't have to fret too much about that. It is definitely a family-friendly center with enough outdoor areas to set up trailers / RVs. I would say bring a portable fan and some water because it does get pretty toasty in the center. Nonetheless, the views from bleachers - no matter where you sit - are GREAT! The Black Rodeo put on an epic show, and I am looking forward to going back next year to see what they have in store for us.

I had the opportunity to see The Nutcracker Ballet here and will now keep a look out for future performances! The seats are spacious, the theater feels more intimate than others in the area. They do have a small concession stand, however food and most beverages must be consumed outside the actual theater. Only bottled water is allowed inside the theater. The Florida Ballet performed the Nutcracker with guest ballerinas from the Boston Ballet- the show was lovely, spectacular and elegant scenes with so many dancers. Even the youngest of the show were amazing and very cute. Compared to other venues in the Jacksonville area- this was one of the better theaters I have gone to a show at. I look forward to returning for more!

Since school is out for the winter break, you can find garage covered parking or outside parking. Both parking options require a short walk to the performing arts center. When we arrived we were able to take our annual picture inside with the six foot tall nutcrackers, then headed to our seats. I'm pretty sure every seat here offers you a decent view of the stage. This year we sat one row away from the stage. I will say for me and this was our own doing, that was a bit too close and my neck was starting to bother me. The location is beautiful, the seats are comfortable, and the acoustics are great.

UNF and Jax World Affair Council provided this experience free to the public (as long as you sign up in advance). The Fine Art auditorium was very nice where the lecture was held; acoustics were wonderful too. It was a miserable weather night to be out but hundreds of people came out in support of this program! Yeah JAX!
