Tried out this Cafe about a month ago. Their Fish n Chips was delicious.
Then I took me daughter there, and she loved it.
I then went with me wife and all me kids on a Saturday Morning.
Ordered a Fish n Chips again and I was telling me wife that this may be me first ever favourite Cafe, and we ordered other dishes and drinks.
Once we were served, I realised after I ate half of the fish that it was a little thick in the middle and it wasn't cooked on the inside. It was cooler in temperature as well.
I told a mature Vietnamese lady there that the fish wasn't fully ready, and she replied that she will re-fry it. Remember I already ate half of this piece of fish !
That reply made me think that why wouldn't she replace the piece of fish like any other food and beverage stores would. But then I didn't let it get to me. However with my wife, it was a different story.
My wife has told me that a restaurant should never re-fry anything that has been placed in someones mouth or have been used by utensils, into the same oil that it has came out from, especially in a public restaurant.
What if this is a common practice and I have AIDS, hepatitis, cancer, open wound in my mouth or whatever disease that I carry and imagine someone else's dish gets made by the same oil that my disease went into.
I do love fish and chips, it was my favourite dish as a child, and its not easy to find a restaurant in Cabramatta or anywhere around that serves good Fish and Chips as compared to back in the old days of the 80's.
These days I have not tasted anything nice of any Fish and Chips around.
Its either too oily, too small, too much batter and all else.
It is a shame that this Cafe is unhygienic in that sense. I wonder what diseases I have been shared with from strangers, because as you know, not all restaurants/Milk bars/Fish and Chips shops change their oils on a daily basis, as its an expensive thing to do.
I no longer come into this Cafe store. read more
