Good thrift store with lots of unique prices - and if you don't like a price, just ask the people at the counter, they'll usually give you I'm more reasonable when period kind of wish that they wouldn't put all of the collectible things in their collectible section at full-blown eBay prices. read more

It's funny.. I can't even think of a favorite thrift store in the Reno/Sparks area because they're all different, but equally great. One thing about The Rock thrift store is that they have weekly sales and they actually really help out the community. For example the last time I was there I believe I saw a sign for free socks for those in need. This thrift store has more household items than they do clothes in my opinion. But, with the clothes they do have up for sale, it's all really dirt cheap and in great condition (barely worn). Everything in the store is actually (like another Yelper said) in tip top shape. The only thing that saddens me is that they close on Sundays and at 5pm on weekdays. POO! read more

I always find cute stuff at this store for a good price. I make a point of visit every time I'm in Reno. They have home goods and clothes.

I love this thrift store! Prices can't be beat and everything I look at seems to be in great shape! The staff is always so kind and helpful. I do wish they were open on Sundays as it is my only day off but as they are associated with a church it makes sense that they would be closed that day. Clothes are always in great condition and I have found some really great pieces here. Easy to make a donation and fun to browse. Plus, nobody batted an eye when I sat down on a chair and nursed my daughter. read more

Should have looked at the age of the pictures shown and taken reviews with a grain of salt. Maybe it was great once, but pretty bog standard now, small and nothing stood out from the usual thrift store fare. read more

The people here are quite nice and I frequented this thrift for a very long time - until I saw a kitchen blender priced at $17.00. Yes, you are reading correctly !!! The prices have become exorbitant and I will no longer patronize this store. I understand placing certain items that may have more value at the front counter and being able to charge a higher fee for specialties, but the prices have skyrocketed on mostly everything. Do remember THE ROCK that all of your items are donated. You are a thrift store for community outreach, not a consignment or an antique store. What if a desperate person truly needed that kitchen blender that was priced at $17.00? You received it for free. Do you think someone with limited means could afford that? To be fair, all thrifts are becoming outrageously high. Some have closed their doors as a result. At one time, you were the exception - but now you have become like all the rest and the energy in your store has shifted toward the negative. If you love to go thrift store shopping and haven't been to The Rock, then you are missing out. The Rock is probably the lowest priced thrift store in town! They have weekly discounts catered to seniors, Veterans, etc. They also have a 50% sell about every 3 months. The merchandise changes frequently and is always tip top shape. The Rock is more than a thrift store, but a cornerstone for the community. The Rock thrift store is operated by volunteers and thrives on donations. Highly recommend going there! read more

Friendly and helpful employees/volunteers. Clean and affordable items. You can find everything from socks to sofas. I can't believe some of the clothes that I have gotten from their $1.00 racks, just recently a suit coat for my 8 yr old grandson. I like that the community is aided by this store ... they donate to area schools and the homeless, just to name a few places they help locally. I have recommended the store to many friends and will continue to do so. I have found so many things for yard decoration, bedding, clothing, jewelry and gifts, yes gifts!!! some of the stuff is like brand new. So, to stop rambling I'm just going to say that if you haven't been there GO. Use your imagination and enjoy yourself...they have popcorn and popsicles !! ALSO...
