Side of the store is pretty good. For the side there's not enough stuff in here as well either. Everything is spread out and spaced out to seem as if there is a lot but it's not. Services that everything seems organizing well-kept together

    Very unique shopping experience! 08/13/2020

This is my new favorite thrift! Such a hidden gem! How it works is, you walk in and its 1 person per "boat". You pay $1.25 per pound of items. They have many amazing clothing items, many new with tags and home decor items. You have to come with the right mindset and the capability/ time to treasure hunt and look through everything. If that doesn't excite you, then this probably won't be the best experience for you but give it a chance!

Vesta and I have lived in Reno for going on six years now and from the very first week, we fell in love with the Bargain Bin on Oddie, next to the Goodwill Store, because it was a nice place for us to buy props and weird stuff for our photography. The place was neat and tidy, they organized everything very well, for example the men's coats would be all together on the same garment table. Baby's clothes, children's clothes, same thing. The books were in crates and multi-volumes were kept together, so if you wanted an old encyclopedia set set, you could get all the volumes. CD and Records were kept together too as was everything else. It was, like another Yelp reviewer has said here, a fun place to shop and we made friends quickly, because we'd see a lot of the same people in there. I remember these two elderly ladies who were voracious readers. They loved going through the books. Then one day the big wigs from Florida came in and told them they were doing things all wrong. They wanted this store to look like their others. Too much time was spent keeping the place clean. Too much time was spent treating the customers like people. Too much time was spent keeping everything in order. It was much easier to just throw everything onto these big blue tables and wheel them out. No need to separate anything. No need to keep lamp shades on lamps or printer cords with the printers or book volumes together and so what if everything gets broken. So that's what they did. Now they treat their customers like animals. Now the place is always filthy. Now the goods are mostly broken. And now the nice old ladies don't come in anymore. And it doesn't look like that's really working for them, because people who work there have told me they don't take in anywhere near the money they used to. Ah well, now it conforms to their other bargain stores and now it apparently reflects Goodwill's real attitude toward the goods they get for free and the customers who buy them. The people who run Goodwill ought to be ashamed of themselves.

Great place to shop when looking for that special outfit for an event like a wedding or even for just dressing up when you go to an upscale restaurant, for holidays, or maybe your anniversary, and you don't want to break the bank. Also I encourage you, when you are ready to buy new, to donate your designer purses and clothes to Esther's Closet. It gives us all a better inventory to shop from and it benefit's Hosanna Home which is helping women in desperate need.

Their hours are very limited so it took me months to actually be able to drop off my donations because I work very long hours. The store is in a big complex along with other stores so the sign they have pointing to where the store is was helpful. The store is very clean and well organized. They have vast selections of items and in great condition. I came in to drop off donations but ended up buying three dresses to take home! The store rep was super nice, and when I asked about more information about the boutique she was happy to give me a bit of history and I thought it was awesome!

The day I was there, it seemed like all the stuff had been HEAVILY picked over, like it had all been there for months on end. The worst of the worst. I methodically looked through every single item (which I always do, because I feel like if I don't look at everything, I'll miss that "magic item"). I usually spend 30-90.00 buying things from every category. Not one thing from any dept worth buying! Are people not donating there any more? Anyway, I may try them one more time, but I hate wasting time. Who doesn't?

We walk in and was immediately greeted. Nice. The store is very open and clearly separated by department. Everything is neatly organized and the store is clean. I didn't see any broken items or messy areas. There is a clothing menu that is priced according to type and not necessarily the brand so that can be hit or miss. While browsing, we had another employee sincerely greet us as well. Very kind. I liked that there was not obnoxious music playing or too loud. It was normal and at a low level. Even though the store was somewhat sparse, we managed to buy 5 items. I assume that since they are new, still waiting for donations. Prices are fair and less than what Goodwill charges. The other ding is that the clothing racks and sizing are non-sensical. Typically you size your racks going left to right or clockwise. The size ring should be in front with the corresponding size to the right of it and THEN it should snake to the other side like a figure 8 until you reach the end. I could not figure out where my size was because it would be on the right of the ring in one aisle but on the left of it on the next aisle. It got so confusing that I gave up. They must not have a real merchandiser on staff? Anyway, it was an overall positive experience and all of the employees was truly pleasant and kind.
