I spent a year trying to find a roofing company to repair a leak, on my roof, due to faulty Solar Panel installation. The minute I said Solar panels, to a roofer, he would decline to even quote the job. Mostly the issue was removing and replacing the solar panels, roofers do not do that, and most-Solar companies only want to service what they install. Thanks to a friend of mine, I was introduced to Francisco and he was very willing to come out, look at what was needed, and give me a quote. He also explained what went wrong with the Solar installation, not using roof designed mounting hardware, and what he recommended to fix the problem. While he inspected the roof he found evidence of other leaks which led to a decision to reroof the area which had the Solar Panels with double paper. Did I mention I have a tile roof and there are a lot of tiles that needed to be removed and replaced? THE ROOFING Company has a long-term working relationship with Angel Solar and they did a great job removing and replacing the solar panels and reestablishing complete operation. The two companies work together installing the correct mounting hardware, new stanchions, and rails. The job was completed within a week and daily cleanup was a given. I had 3-4 different roofing companies come out before this company came to take a look at my roof and provide me quotes based on the issues that they believed they saw. I was floored by how many different problems each company saw and how different the prices ranges were. It was from (high $3K to an outrageous price of $30K) None of the companies could agree on what the issue was with my roof. Keep in mind that NONE of these companies actually went up to my roof to take a closer look. I was so frustrated that I went to my FB city local page and asked for a recommendation for a roofer. Françisco pinged me that he was a local roofing company. At first I was hesitant to go with this company since it only had 1 review on Yelp but I decided it wouldn't hurt to get a quote. First let me say, Françisco went above and beyond my expectations. Since we were in a Stay at home due to COVID, he provided me detailed quotes based on digital information that he could get online through his system. I asked him for multiple quotes for partial replacement and entire roof replacement. I told him my concerns and he agreed to come out to do a physical inspection of my roof to actually see what I needed. I was thinking that he would do the same thing as the other roofers and just look at my roof from the sidewalk and tell me I needed XYZ. Instead he and his worker actually went up to my roof and pulled a tile off to look at the paper underneath in 2 different spots. He took the paper down to me and showed me that it was still good however I needed several tiles replaced that were broken (which I already knew) and that I need to do some other minor stuff to make my existing roof last longer. (expand my valleys and clean out the clogged areas) Of course based the fact that he explained all my options and why he was recommending what he was recommending, I went with his company. His team was very professional and made me feel extremely comfortable to ask them questions. They cleaned up after they were done for the day as if nothing no work was taking place. We had Francisco and his team from The Roofing Company re-roof our house last fall, and we could not be more pleased on every aspect of the job. Francisco and his team were very-very professional, courteous, and were willing to make sure the job was done right and to our satisfaction. They went well out of their way to make sure we were happy with the whole job. We needed a new roof since a solar company basically destroyed our old roof installing solar panels. On his own initiative Francisco worked with the solar company to make sure they used the correct mountings that he could properly flash around and guarantee there would be no leaks. He even had a rep from the company that made the mounts come out and give instruction to his team and the solar guys to make sure they were installed correctly. Same with the roofing material we selected - DaVinci Roofscapes which made a polymer fake-shake shingle (which I picked because it was about the only roofing material I could find that the solar guys couldn't destroy when they put the panels back, but also turned out to be a beautiful roof when done). Francisco had not worked with this material before, so again, on his own initiative he had a rep from DaVinci come out and make sure his team knew how to properly install it to ensure no leaks and no loss of the warranty. On his own Francisco also went out and bought a very large tarp to cover my pool to ensure no metal nails or other objects could accidentally fall into the pool and cause rust stains on the plaster. This is definitely in contrast to the last roofer 16 years ago who left a pile of rust stains on our previous plaster and then basically blew off my complaints about it (I probably should have sued that guy - his Yelp review is very different than this one!!!). Bottom line - no matter what roofing material you want to use you positively cannot go wrong with picking Francisco and his team to do the work. If I ever need roof work again (ie, if the solar guys come back) Francisco is the first and only person I'm calling. read more
