Hello I made a mistake and went to the wrong company to give praise I didn't realize it was really ROOF GUARD that did the work on my house. I want to recommend No I want a highly recommend roof guard. Because they got a call from us and they were out here of a very next day promptly at 8:00 a.m. and worked diligently until the job was done. And it turned out to be done ahead of schedule. They gave a very excellent quote for the damage. And to our surprise the total did not come to the quote It was less which made us very happy. They left with a job completed and we are confident they did a good job and we will have no more leaks. May I say that it's been an excellent experience with roof guard. Michael, Just read your response. Not sure if your team is lying to you or if you have your information mixed up. My home was built in 2016. No 35 year old roof here. You are right about the discount. Instead of $1,500, there was a 10% cash discount and I did pay $1,350. Still, $1,350 not for anything listed on the scope of work/quote provided. $1,350 for some caulking that was not the issue to begin with. If you read Mark's text that I attached, he mentioned that this is out of your expertise. If you're a reputable company, I am not understanding why doing the work described on the quote provided is "out of your expertise." Additionally, hate to assume, but maybe your team is misleading you. Also on Mark's text attached to this review, he says he can refer me to someone who does great work. Should your team be outsourcing business to another person? No need to go back and forth here. I have come to peace with the $1,350 wasted. Just want to make sure you get your facts right. To say my fireplace was not built to code is a wild accusation. What about it was not built to code? I purchased the home in 2021 and was not notified of any code violations in the inspection report. First, you incorrectly state my home built in 2016 has a 35 year old roof. Now there's code violations? Something's not adding up. Do not go with these guys. We rent and our landlord wanted to get a new roof done on our house 2 years ago and sent these guys over. We live in a small one story home, 2000 sqft, and these guys took over a month to finish the job!!!! ONE month, guys were coming in and out, at one point they had 6 guys on the roof! You're telling me, 6 different guys couldn't finish a roof in a week or two, let alone a month?? The guys were hanging out, drinking beers, enjoying our view and just being lazy and enjoying the time paid. We even found a pee stain on our wall in the backyard. The job was done well, but I mean they took their sweet time, how could it not have been done well? A month we had to endure the sounds of their hammering, building, laughing and music. I met with eight companies for quotes (PM me for list and opinions). Three provided inflated quotes citing warranty, experience and fancy computing as worth it. One never sent over the quote after meeting with them, one was a pushy salesman, one was a no-show for meeting and two came in as reasonably priced, the cheapest, $11k, showed up in beat up truck struggling to speak English. Roof Guard was very responsive. Mark sent a quote even after I was unable to meet with him. The price was reasonable. No nonsense about, it could be more after pulling up the old roof, or 15% +/- on estimate, or inability to itemize materials from labor. Once I spoke with the owner, Mike, about starting the job, it was easy all the way to completion. The only hiccups were date changes due to rain. My elderly mother was notified that her insurance was going to be canceled because she needed a new roof. I ended up using roof guard to do the inspection and the repairs with photos. I contacted Mike through the Yelp app and he got back to me right away. Mike was very helpful walking me through the entire process of what I was going to need for the insurance company to not cancel the homeowners insurance. I arranged with Mike to come by and do the inspection. He showed up in a timely manner had great communication as to what needed to be done. I called to inquire about getting quote from Roof Guard and when I received a call back I explained why I needed a quote. I was advised that they charge a $500 to have them come out and give me a quote. I let the gentlemen know that I had already paid that amount for another company and was not looking to pay that fee again. He proceeded to tell me that's thats the only way they would come out, that they were "in a business to make money". After I told him unfortunately that would not work for me, he started to belittle and ended the conversation with "good luck because it sounds like you know what you are doing". This is probably the worst customer service I have had from any vendor I called, I would highly recommend you to call other roofing companies.
