DO NOT TRUST THEM WITH ANYTHING YOU VALUE. CRIMINAL NEGLIGENCE AND ARROGANCE.
I sent several precious, handmade carpets to Rug Spa for professional cleaning. What I got back was a nightmare and a lesson in how a business can utterly destroy your property and then laugh in your face.
1. DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY: One of my carpets came back with a TEAR. It was not torn when I sent it. It was carefully packaged and in delicate but intact condition. They clearly damaged it during their "care."
2. CHEMICAL BUTCHERY: On other carpets, they USED BLEACH ON THE HAND-KNOTTED FRINGES. The vibrant, natural colors are now ruined, blotchy, and faded. The fringes on a handmade carpet are not an afterthought; they are part of its soul and structure. This is not a cleaning error; it is profound, ignorant incompetence.
3. THEFT OF TRUST AND VALUE: A handmade carpet is not just a "rug." It is an artwork, often an heirloom, with significant monetary and sentimental value. Rug Spa has DIMINISHED that value to zero with their reckless actions.
4. DISGUSTING CUSTOMER "SERVICE": When I called, hoping for accountability, they immediately gaslit me, claiming the damage "was already there." This is a lie. Their final attitude was the ultimate insult: "Do whatever you wanna do." This is the language of con artists who know they've been caught but believe they are untouchable. It is arrogance of the highest order.
They have shown themselves to be INCOMPETENT, DISHONEST, AND UTTERLY CONTEMPTUOUS OF THEIR CUSTOMERS' PROPERTY. They handle precious items with the care of a wrecking ball and the ethics of a thief in the night.
DO NOT BE FOOLED. Do not give them your rugs, your quilts, your heirlooms, or even a dish towel. They will damage it, ruin it, and then tell you it's your fault. Save yourself the heartbreak and rage. Spread the word: AVOID RUG SPA AT ALL COSTS. They are nothing but destroyers in a "spa's" clothing.
Note to the owner: Your "do whatever you wanna do" is this. Every potential customer will see what you did and how you treat people. You deserve nothing less. read more
