DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. I would highly suggest NEVER to use this company it is a waste of money and will further ruin your furniture. They won't assume any responsibility for their mistakes or their technicians actions. I had a small water stain on my upholstered headboard. I treated it with a diluted mixture of white vinegar and baking soda. I contacted Toronto Steam n' Clean explaining the makeup of my headboard, what I had used to treat it and then a photo of the stain. They warned me they may not be able to remove the stain but they would come and try. Two technicians arrived on site and said since it was a water stain and I had treated it with water, vinegar and baking soda it should come out very easily. They did the treatment and my stain was not removed. The technician said let it dry and then call us back if there are any problems. Once it was dry our original stain was not removed and a much larger stain was left from their treatment. We contacted the office immediately and tried to call them but only received a voicemail. We emailed and asked about their procedure now that they had made the stain worse and Areesha said the technicians would have to assess it in person. We expressed our concerns with them coming back and making it worse and she said she would not answer any further questions. We had booked in for Saturday of the long weekend and they ran out of product so could no longer come. The technicians returned and were shocked to hear that further staining had occurred. They said with upholstered headboards they are guessing on what products to use. They say they never know the makeup even though I told them explicitly what he fabric was. They decided to use a browning solution and immediately our original stain was removed and they said to let it dry and sometimes it takes two treatments. We let it dry and our original stain was fully removed and the majority of their stain was removed. There was still some discolouration so following the advice of the technicians we made a follow up appointment. They returned and treated a far larger area than where the staining was. They said word for word "you are off the hook, this is on us". We let the stain dry and now it takes up 90% of our headboard and is much worse, despite the technicians saying they used the same product. We immediately contacted Areesha who escalated our complaint to Asaad. We asked for a refund of service ($244) plus compensation for our damaged headboard. Asaad takes zero responsibility for the further damage to our headboard and continues to say it was our fault and stemmed from the original products we used. Toronto Steam N' Clean takes no responsibility and has offered no refund or compensation for the issue. They take zero accountability for their technicians who explicitly told us that it was their fault and we were off the hook. If Toronto Steam N' Clean "guesses" with upholstered furniture they should not offer it as a service. I would highly suggest NEVER to use this company it is a waste of money and will further ruin your furniture. Response back: The technicians did NOT tell us it could worsen nor that it would be difficult to remove. We proceeded with the services only AFTER we sent, clear emails that we ONLY want them to come if they will not make the matters worse. She offered us 'I cannot answer your questions'. The technicians visited our home TWO additional times. We were prompted by your team to leave reviews across multiple platforms. There was no compromise, he told us after the third email "This will be my final communication on the matter". We did not post review until after, and although we don't agree, Asaad cannot claim we did not try to seek a fair resolution. Had he refunded us the $240 for the services, that would be a compromise.Your biggest liability as an organization is that your customer service default to the expertise of your technicians, yet, when your technicians make a mistake and they admit it to us, your customer service representatives conveniently wont take any responsibility. read more

They were very fast and rushing for time. Could have done a better job. Never liked the fact that they were walking inside the premise with their shoes on. Told them to remove it but apparently, they should not be working barefoot due to work hazards (Totally ACCEPTABLE!). Then please get a spare shoe to be used in the customer premise or a shoe cover at least. I have a toddler at home and you can't be walking inside my house with the same shoe you are going around the town/neighborhood. They cleaned the carpet and walked on the same carpet with the same shoe. Although the carpet looks slightly better than before, overall experience I am not happy with the job done and will be looking for another service provider. Please implement hygiene SOPs! read more

A wonderful husband and wife team came out to clean two of my sofas last week, after another company tried (and failed) to get them clean. Both sofas are hard to clean (one's velvet and one is viscose/cotton) -- but after signing the waiver in case of damage, I put my faith in the team and they did an incredible job. Mediocre at best. First thing they did was try to upsell on a "sanitization" for $200. Did not do the carpets on the outside of the railing. 25 mins total, seemed like they were just rushing to get out. Nice enough people but service was very meh. Would have gone for cheaper options had I known the service level of a "certified" company. read more

Absolutely terrible experience. I hired this company to steam clean my stairs. They came in, watered down the stairs, and then vacuumed them. They look the same as before. Absolutely no difference in color whatsoever. All of the stains that were there before are still there. I did a better job myself applying spot stain remover than they did with their equipment. The person I spoke to on the phone, their manager, was extremely rude and berated me the entire time. He stated they "do not guarantee any results," and argued with me non stop instead of providing any solutions. The technicians did not tell me they left the stairs soaking wet. With one of the technicians on site, I fell on the wet stairs and landed on my back. The manager was on the phone with us when this happened, and his response was "i'm sorry you feel this way." I suppose he does not realize that customers have rights in Ontario and can sue businesses for injury. He also threatened to send collections, when I indicated I would not pay for their service. All I can say is this was a terrible experience in more ways than one. The only thing I was left with was soaking stairs. Do not hire this company. And I welcome them to send collections, I will be waiting to submit formal complaints to the city as well as my home insurance company. read more

One of the worst services and customer service I've seen. Two gentlemen came for a first visit late June. It looked great at first and stains starting coming up as the carpet dried out... over 30h after the time of their visit, while they mentioned 4 to 6h (they later mentioned 8 to 12 via email) They then came for a 2nd visit, mentioned stains may sometimes come out after and they also pointed the wear of my carpet to justify the poor results. Again, it looked great again at first when wet and stains came out when it dried over 30+ hours later I documented the issue and took a few days to weigh options as I didn't want another intrusive treatment and potentially given the outcome of the first two visits. Ultimately, I bought a Bissell Spotbot for $200. It immediately made a huge difference. At that point, I reached out again as I was pretty disappointed. In a nutshell, they mentioned their 24h-window policy for complaints and that they already made us a "favour" by coming for a 2nd visit given our "delayed" complaint, despite our stairs taking over 35h so there was no way we could meet the deadline. Regarding their communications, Asaad was consistently full of contempt, snarky and took no accountability. He even shared a before and after picture to make a point that our carpet was extremely dirty before, except that the "before" was taken after their first visit, not before. In a nutshell, they were using the stains they created and that weren't here before as a benchmark. The "after" is interesting too as it was taken minutes after cleaning, while they told us several times that it can take hours for stains to come out as it did. After sharing the results from our Bissell machine, here was their response: "If you find your machine works better you are of course free to do so but that does not mean it is the correct way of doing it despite the end result". I bought a machine to make my stairs look clean and it did, while their professional piece of equipment didn't but I should trust that their way of doing it is the right way despite making it look worse. Spare yourself the trouble and spend that money on a handheld device or another service provider. --- Edit following the reply: 1) I am the landlord, not the "roommate". I am very much legitimate to share my complaint, though I did not initiate the first contact. I don't know why you would make this unfounded assumption, let alone do it publicly. 2) You mention "inconsistencies" but your response actually point out and address none. 3) In regards to taking 72h to contact you, here's a detailed breakdown: - You left around 3pm on day 1 - Still wet by 11pm on day 2 - we had planned to vacuum that day - Finally felt dry on day 3 by 10am and stains were very visible (after 43h) - We came home late, vacuumed the crystals the next day, observed that the stains were still here and contacted you on day 4 at the 72h mark Does this seem unreasonable? It does not change the fact that while you're arbitrarily claiming "delays": - Your services were a big reason the delays occurred in the first place (at least 50-60% of the time you're mentioning) - Your policy says 24h for a follow up visit while the delay had passed and we did not want another intrusive visit anyway We documented the process and photos are timestamped. So while we contacted you later, the photos don't lie about the state of the carpet as a result from your services, which you won't take accountability for. 4) "Your response, unfortunately, was that the lighting in the pictures was not to your liking." That's dishonest and untrue. Here's from my email: "Your picture shows nothing: - the 'before' is a darkly lit photo - the 'after' has the light on - it doesn't show the problematic area where your treatment created most of the stain including that reddish one by the wall" Also note that my comment was about these two photos you shared via email: https://imgur.com/a/3NoB9HK not the ones you added here. 5) The "Before", which occurred after your visit, is a testament to how poorly our stairs actually looked once it dried out. The "after" only shows that it looked good immediately after when stairs were still wet. It also did after the first visit, and you perfectly captured the end result after a few hours. Another testament to how dishonest your process is. 6) "Aggressive and borderline threatening" Aggressive? No. Frustrated by your tone and dishonesty as highlighted in your reply here? Yes. I had carpets cleaned as well as a detailed house cleaning prior to a move. The carpet cleaning was basically fine, although carpet did come up at a major seam. This was not mentioned by the owner of the business. The detailed pre-move cleaning was anything but. The showers and toilets were not touched, thick dust remained on most of the blinds, doors and top of the fridge; etc. A stove we asked to have cleaned was sprayed with a foam and left. I called the owner who initially suggested that I may have made the place dirtier when I moved in (though I never mentioned the floors or walls that I could have actually messed up in one day). He explained that the team was there for over 4 hours, and he did a walk through after the fact. He said how the oven was "much cleaner" than it was. My whole point in calling was really just in the hope that the owner might want the feedback to make his business better. I was not prepared to have their poor efforts thrown back at me. Ultimately, rather than making it right, I was offered 50$ off any future service to "make it right". Ha! These guys take a load off my shoulders. They steam and they clean and they leave your rugs and carpets looking absolutely brand new. My experience with these gentlemen was such exquisite. I tend to throw some pretty hefty house parties from time to time and we all get so plastered we can't even feel our faces. God knows what's on my carpets. All I know is that when these guys were done, there was no more weird smell in my living room and the carpet looked brand new. I had big red stain on my carpet, I don't even know what it was but it's gone now so that's pretty cool.
