My favorite part is you can do flights. I ordered three soup and two slider flight. Soups: tomato basil and lobster bisque. Both were good alone but they mixed well too. The bisque was one of the better ones I've had. I could actually taste the basil in the tomato basil. Sliders: chicken salad and pimento cheese. Both were good, but alone without soup they're just ok. The best part of the sliders is they come on Hawaiian rolls. I would definitely go again since I love soup.

**INITIAL REVIEW** I…read morelike to consider myself, at times, a connoisieur of soups. I love them all, and I don't even mean just the ones most people know of, but ones that are often passed over simply because they are not known. Good example: the savory cold soups that are meant to be cold, not just a hot soup you serve cold because you're lazy to wait a minute for it to warm up in a microwave. I will even go as far as to say that I love chili with beans... and without. Doesn't matter. It is a chucky soup. I like creamy soup. I like chunky soup. I like chunky and creamy soup. I like soup... and kudos to anyone who got the classic Eddie Murphy stand-up comedy joke right there. Anyways, The Soup Shop in, what I will call the part of Melbourne between Suntree and Melbourne Major (where Historic Downtown Melbourne) is located, right near the Eastern Florida State College Melbourne campus, is the original location (that I know of). I have been a couple of times, and every single time, it has been great. As a matter of fact, the Soup Shop answers that question I've asked which is, "What if there was a restauant that served an array of soups I can choose from?" Questioned answered and with flying colors, too. Pertaining to its ambiance, the Soup Shop doesn't exactly stand out compared to some of the decor these new restaurants seem to push as part of their experience. Instead, their decor is simplistic, but they so happen to really promote and push one particular artist as her paintings are all over the walls of the restaurant. As for the soup, I decided to get the flight, which is a sample (flight) size of three soups of your choice. Certain soups do have a specialty upcharge, specifically the bisques, and some can't be made in such because of how they are prepared, specifically the ramen. Despite that, there are a wide array of soup choices to choose from. You now, chunky soup, creamy soup, chunky and creamy soup. And to be serious for a moment, they also have soups that cater to special dietary needs. I saw a whole cooler full of ready-to-warm-up soups for bariatrics. As for the prices, they are not bad all. I think the soup flight was about $12, which is not bad at all for three soups a little bigger than a cup but smaller than a bowl. They also serve other food items such as sandwiches and desserts. My suggestion: the grilled cheese. Definitely pair it with the tomato soup. Ultimately, I am going to give the OG Soup Shop four out of five stars. They were outstanding the two times I went, but I need to try more of their food to see if they are consistent... because most people know that my fifth star is awarded after reviews (unless I've been to a business more than let's say five times) and they are consistent. I truly think The OG Soup Shop will be consistent, but you never know.

**INITIAL REVIEW **…read more The Soup Shop located in central Melbourne, which I will say is the area between Eau Gallie and Suntree, is one of my all-time favorite restaurants in the mid-Melbourne area, the area between Eau Gallie and Suntree. I mean, it is a restaurant that sells soup, and I mean more than one soup or even more than the common numbers of two to five soups. Think twenty soups or more. Ergo, when I found out that another Soup Shop location would open in West Melbourne, FL, I was excited. Not only would one of my favorite restaurants have another location available, but this one so happens to be closer to me. The question is if this new location would be as good as the OG. Despite not being a 1-to-1 of excellence to the OG, this new location is still excellent. Though an address is provided, the new Soup Shop location is located in the Palm Crossing Shopping Center a.k.a. Publix Shopping Plaza West Melbourne on Palm Bay Rd. (because to be fair, all the best shopping plazas in Florida happen to be Publix shopping plazas). If it helps, the new Apocalypse Coffee Roasters location is also in the same plaza. Upon entering the locale, it is like walking into a cozy nook you'd like to sit in and enjoy a book. Multiple two-person seating is available up front with one on the eastside. I usually sit on the eastside table as it is closest to the fountain dispenser, as all fountan drinks have free refills. As for service, the ladies working there are great, especially the team lead/manager who works on weekdays. I definitely like how she initiates conversation by asking about the t-shirt you are wearing. I was wearing my "EXPLORE" shirt and she asked me what it is I am exploring. Usually, it would be geocaches and/or letterboxes, but at the time, soup flavors! Which brings me to the six flavors of soup I had via the flight. Yes. The Soup Shop serves flights (and that is all the locations from what I know, too). I had the Dragon Stew, chili, chicken gumbo, tomato soup, creamy garlic tomato soup, and she crab bisque. Details of the soups are in the pics, but definitely loved the tomato soups especially with their fantastic grilled cheese sandwich they have on their menu. And on a sidenote: the restroom was unisex and clean. Definitely no drips on the floor or anything like that. Ultimately, I am going to give this Soup Shop - West Melbourne, four out of five stars. All and all, they are excellent, but we'll have to see if they are consistent. If they are consistently excellent, not perfect, just excellent, they'll get their fifth star for consistency.

The place is really nice. Lots of great decor, and a live stream of Key West on a TV screen that we sat near. Food was absolutely delicious. I got the Guava Jerk Sirloin. It was cooked beautifully. The sauce was absolutely delicious. The mashed potatoes were loaded and massive, and the broccoli tasted great. Couldn't finish it, so took it home! I also got the Cafe con Leche, and it was wonderful. Would come here again!

Two have chickpea as a source with the third no having a plant based source of protein in the dish. We confirmed with the server that the guacamole did not contain dairy so ordered the plantain chips and guac as an app- highly recommend. Then after having many other burgers/sandwiches on our trip I opted for the chickpea pasta with veggies and leaving off the parm to make it vegan. I appreciate the volume of veggies in the dish, though the sauce was a touch too oily. The main issue was the cooks WAY over cooked the chickpea pasta so when they tossed it with the sauce and veggies 2/3 of the pasta had broken apart...

That's the kind of commitment that deserves respect... The French onion grilled cheese isn't just a menu item, it's a moment. The kind that forces you to pause mid-bite and reassess life. Gooey, unapologetically rich cheese melted into perfectly chewy sourdough, delivering that deep, savory French onion flavor in every bite. It's indulgent without being sloppy, bold without trying too hard. And yes, it comes with au jus--but here's the thing: it's almost not needed. Almost. That sandwich stands on its own. This is the kind of place that makes you excited about what else is on the menu... while also making it incredibly difficult to order anything else. Because how do you not go back to something that already feels like the peak? Terra isn't just making sandwiches--they're making arguments for why sandwiches might be the most perfect food we have.

**INITIAL REVIEW**…read more I've been wanting to dine at Senzu Noodle Bar and Boba (which I will shorthand simply to Senzu for the remainder of this review) for the longest time, simply because it is relative to the Dragonball Series. Ever seen what happens to anyone who eats a senzu bean? Back to the review, I finally got the chance to go into Senzu, ready to dine on both noodles and boba. I mean it is in the name, right? Upon entering, the ambiance is a cross between modern restaurant and traditional ramen shop. I noticed the long wall bar where patrons would line up and enjoy their bowls of ramen during their lunch break, but I also recognize the tables for formal dine-in. As for ordering, they have the traditional face-to-face ordering along with a "contactless" kiosk. Senzu offers a decent range of appetizers, mains centered on noodle dishes such ramen, yakisoba, and udon, rice bowls, and boba. There are more to list, but the aforementioned is the primary bulk of the menu. From said menu, I ordered miso chicken ramen and Thai boba tea. The ramen was very flavorful, with a decent amount of ramen, add-ons, and chicken for $16.00. The Thai boba tea was good too at $4.00. Yes, I will say the price is a bit on the high side these days, but the price of food is going up in general. There is also a specials menu, made new every single day or week. One of the specials on said menu was unagi on rice, or grilled eel with tare glaze on rice. Since it was a special, it had the special price, too, at $20. Not complaining, but take note that specials definitely have special pricing. Was it good? It was, but definitely had better. As a matter of fact, I have had better of each of the food items I ordered. Still, you can't go wrong eating here at Senzu, unless you want to spend a little less. But you know what? I would not expect any less from the same people who own So-Ju Chicken and Bakudan Street Food. Ultimately, I will give Senzu a solid four-out-of-five star rating for this review. Definitely a good place to eat, and a new restaurant to enjoy such food. If they are consistent with their food and presentation (service included), I will grant them their fifth star for consistency.
