The field is home to Twilight Thursdays, Bedford's own little spring concert series, and to the huge Bedford Christmas tree. More informally its my girls and I's secret spot for exploring and Ice Cream on Friday afternoon's when my 3 year old gets out of preschool. I love that they can run, collect rocks and lady bugs, climb large rocks, and dig in the dirt road (Don't worry! We always put it back!) and be safely away from traffic off of the road. I can sit on a picnic blanket and watch and not have to worry about my kids falling off of a some large plastic playground, or getting run over by a car! My only suggestion, especially for twilight Thursdays, is that those fire ant hills are crazy! I got bit several times last season.. yikes! The school house itself is classic, and is like a last piece of country history in a city that becomes more suburban and built up every day. You can see pictures from the its glory days, look at a traditional one room school house set up, attend a murder mystery dinner, or rent one of their different rooms for meetings, or the entire building for a wedding. The last time my girls and I were there, my little one had to go to the bathroom and there was a wedding set-up going on, so we were able to sneak in (with permission!) and use the restroom. The set up was adorable...a PERFECT wedding venue. If I had known this place was available back in the day when I was married, I totally would have chosen it! The wooden stair case and old beams and windows make for great photo ops! I have also attended a 50th birthday celebration here a few years back! There was plenty room for a buffet, a bar, tons of guests and a live band.. totally fun! Last year we went to the school house to take some christmas pictures, and ending up choosing one with the school house in the background for our card! We also took some family photos here last weekend... out back they have bluebonnets, and some great stairs for backdrops. ....I am kind of sad I am writing this review, because now everyone will know my secret hiding spot in HEB for pictures, parties and play! :)

CAUTION!!! Absolutely do not use this company. Please read the reviews and take the negative…read morereviews to heart. Our experience here has been absolutely terrible. The customer service is awful, there seems to be zero accountability for maintaining consistent instructors, and the experience has been nothing like what they advertise. They make this place look incredibly fun, professional, and glamorous from the outside and on their website, but when it comes to actually delivering the service you are paying for, they have completely failed us. We have had instructor after instructor after instructor. There has been absolutely no consistency. Just when our child starts getting comfortable with someone, something changes and we are back to square one again. What really pushed me over the edge, though, was when we specifically told management that there was one particular drum instructor we did not want our child assigned to again. I won't name him, but we were very clear about our concerns and were specifically told that we would not have him again. Then, poof...our newest new instructor is suddenly no longer our instructor, and magically the exact person we explicitly said we did not want is now our full-time instructor. So what was the point of us communicating our concerns? What was the point of management telling us it would be handled if they were just going to turn around and do the exact opposite? That is what really says everything to me about how this place operates. This place feels like a complete smoke-and-mirrors operation. They sell you this image of a fun, exciting, professional music experience for your child, but our actual experience has been constant instructor turnover, poor communication, broken assurances, and management that seemingly does not care about what parents are telling them. If you are considering sending your child here, I strongly recommend that you read the negative reviews carefully and seriously consider finding a private instructor instead. I legitimately cannot remember dealing with managers, owners, or a business model that I have had less confidence in than this place. Keep your kids away. Find a private instructor. You've been warned. The choice is yours.

I want to pre-face this by stating that Stage Notes is a great place for kids to learn music and…read morearts. I have nothing against them. Their pricing is reasonable. However, one of their most recent hires is a Racist. His name is Raven, and he is at the Colleyville branch. This statement is not due to an incident or a miscommunication, it is a culmination of 4 months' worth of micro-aggressions. When it started, I assumed it was probably Sprectum-related (I have one of those) so benefit of the doubt. However, as time went on, his interactions with other parents, much paler in complexion, was just amazing. But when it comes to me, I got no updates, no progress reports. He would literally walk past me to go and inform the next parent whatever updates is needed, but not me. I tried to mention it to him, and all I got was a grunt. After a handful of weeks, I discussed it with the Office Manager. I'm sure she tried her best to address it. I am paying for Piano classes on a monthly auto-draw. I have no idea what progress is being made, what needs to be worked on adjusted or encouraged, and the instructor acts like my presence is his life's greatest inconvenience. Finally, I confronted him on the issue. He proceeded to go on the most bro-Schmo podcast rant I have ever heard, and just ended up calling me a liar, liar, you're lying, You're a liar. This was happening in front of my kid, so I had to be calm because they learn their conflict handling skills by observation. I stepped out of the room and let the class complete, because it had already been paid for. At the end of the class, he stated, "Next time, you come in here with a better attitude" with a weird smirk on his face. After that, myself, my kid, my pants on fire, and my auto-charge gladly left the building. So, in conclusion, Stage Notes is great. However, if you get assigned to Raven at the Colleyville branch, you will get great service. Just make sure that you're light skinned enough and pale enough, even if it means skipping your tanning appointment. #RavenTheRacist

We are so fortunate to have found Jackson Eli (guitar) and Ms.Chen (piano) at Gray's School of Music. Jackson's combined skill, experience and love for music make him a highly qualified guitar teacher. His love for music is contagious! He makes my son smile and laugh and feel at ease. Since taking guitar lessons with Jackson, I have seen my son rapidly learn to read music and play new songs fearlessly. Jackson is so experienced in many different genres of music and it does not matter if you are just starting or if you are advanced. His patience with my child and his enthusiasm put him apart from other teachers in our minds. We enjoy his mellow, and encouraging attitude. He goes out of his way to find music that is interesting for our 8 year old and he is always accommodating. He has been a pleasure to work with! We highly recommend Jackson Eli to all who are interested in guitar! The Veltkamp Family
