I have been a…read moreclient for 20 years at this store and have dealt with many lovely woman and men over the years, but unfortunately I can longer accept the arrogance and ego of the current manager, Frank. He treats his customers and staff with same dismissive matter of fact tone that doesn't belong in a retail customer service/ sales and managerial role. Today I came into the store to ask for a discount bc a fabric that I had ordered 2 months ago had a subtle imperfection through the entire role. That went unnoticed until after my upholsterer had cut into it. I brought the remaining white fabric to show him. He looked at it and then me and said smugly "I cant take it back and nothing I can do to help you". When I proceeded to challenge him, he in turn "you are supposed to inspect all fabrics before it's is cut into...". All of which I expected as their standard response into policy. What I am upset about was his tone and his arrogance in shamining me. He had a he ability to respond positively and even offer me some discount on future (btw, which he did after I told him I'm never shopping here again and will be reviewing store and him in every social media and review site possible). Frank, you manage a retail store which customer service should matter. Your demeanor is arrogant and condescending always. Your reputation precedes you and as far as I concerned earned. To the other lovely saleswoman, I am sorry for disruption this morning and work hard to compensate for your manager, Frank. Calico corporate sales, look into this review. He has this reputation in our community and many people like myself would rather drive to Natick or order from smaller designers or retail stores UPDATE! I knew from 20 years as a client that Calico corporate would respond with urgency and respectfully. Donna, Regional Manager, called me within 24 hours of this post and thoughtfully listened to my "drama" with Frank, Manager from Hanover MA store. Donna immediately apologized for unfortunate behavior of one her employees and immediately offered to remedy my initial simple request. I am happy to post I received exceptional service from Natick MA store manager, Deb! Both Deb and Donna went above and beyond to accommodate me and provide a very generous discount to my current order. Exceptional customer service from Deb and Donna in Natick MA Calico!!     I visited Calico Corners because i wanted to purchase two drapery traverse rods and finials. It was…read morethe first store i went to and I was all set to move forward with the transaction until the installation charge was calculated. Installation was over $300.00 which I thought was excessive and exorbitant!!! I went to two other reputable local merchants, purchased from one, and in both cases the install charge was under 100.00. I contacted the Calico Corners website, inquired about the install fee, and have yet to get a response even though the site says a response in approx 24 hours. Still waiting!!!!!!!

I bought a sectional on September 7, 2020 to be delivered in 8-10 weeks. It was delayed from a November delivery to January 2021, and now again to March 2021. That will be 7 months. And I would not be surprised if it was delayed again. The COVID manufacturing delays are killing me so much that I ended up just buying a cheap couch from Wayfair because I was tired of having nothing to sit on in my living room. It arrived in literally 3 business days. It is taking everything in my willpower to not cancel the couch delivery altogether. I wish there was more they could do. I would recommend that anyone who wants major furniture pieces right away to not plan on B&P delivering quickly.

When we purchased our couch, we also paid for an extended warranty/protection plan because we wanted peace of mind. A while back, one of the couch cushions developed a tear, and Bernie & Phyl's replaced it. At no point during that process was I told that the replacement was being provided as a "one-time courtesy" under the manufacturer's warranty or that accepting it would affect any future warranty claims. Unfortunately, another cushion has now developed the same issue. When I contacted customer service, I was told the repair would not be covered because the previous replacement counted as a one-time courtesy. This was the very first time anyone had mentioned that limitation. Had I been informed from the beginning, I could have made an informed decision and understood exactly what my warranty did and did not cover. What made the experience even worse was the customer service. While I was explaining my concerns and trying to understand the decision, the representative ended the call and hung up on me. That level of service is completely unacceptable and not what I expected from a company with Bernie & Phyl's reputation. I feel misled about the protection plan I purchased and disappointed by the lack of transparency. I paid extra expecting support if problems arose, but instead I was left feeling that important information was withheld and that my concerns were simply dismissed. I hope Bernie & Phyl's reviews both my warranty claim and the customer service interaction. At a minimum, I believe customers deserve clear communication about what their warranty covers before decisions are made that affect future claims. Until this issue is addressed, I cannot recommend purchasing the extended protection plan based on my experience. ps sent an email to them and have them a.month to respond and resolve this and they did not even respond.

I have to say that they have an excellent selection and they stand by their products. In the past, I have purchased living room sets, dining room sets, and miscellaneous items from the store. All the times that I have entered this location. All the staff seems to be very helpful and polite, not pushy. don't let you roam around. Sit on everything lay down on the couch, etc. and enjoy your visit. They also provide snacks down in the back. There's ice cream and candy does come in handy if not alone. I would like to state one story about their warrantees, which I highly suggest you purchase. One of my purchases was a white leather living room set.. It was a rather large expensive set. it included a large sectional and I added to living room cheers and three Ottomans as I had a huge living room. I had this furniture for approximately four years and to my surprise the sectional on the backside started to peel. I was very surprised about this and I contacted them about replacement as I did purchase the warranty. I spent almost $400 on the warranty which most of my friends thought I was crazy. I'm a big fan of extended plans. Anyway, while I was speaking to Bob's customer service on the phone and requesting someone coming and take a look at my furniture as I wanted to put in a warranty claim to either repair it or replace it. I was informed that they no longer had this leather living room available and that they were not doing repairs on that model any longer. I found myself in a funny position when I asked what can you do for me? They said we can give you a refund so I readily agreed. When my refund came in the mail now mind you I still had all the furniture they didn't want to come get it. They didn't even come in inspect it which I couldn't believe. I thought they were gonna be sending me a partial refund of some sort however they sent me a refund in the form of store credit for over $4000.. yes they refunded me for my entire purchase the cheers the Ottomans and the warranty. Unless I fall in love with a piece of furniture somewhere else, I will always drop at Bob's. Now back to the basic review they have a very very large parking area so you will always get a spot. It's directly on route one so it's. And they have a great selection of furniture for any room or decor. Now when you go in if you like a couch or chair, they actually have different colors. You can order them in even though you don't see it displayed so make sure you speak to the sales person. They have a finance program positive, but I see it advertised when I walk around. Definitely consider Furniture.
