We live in Texas and drove 6 hours to look at a 2022 Class A Gas motorhome in Hammond, Louisiana. They were asking too much for it and we declined to purchase it. 2 days later they called and came down to the price I told them we would pay. But it made me suspicious that something major might be wrong with it. I googled "Certified RV Inspectors near Hammond, LA." Scenic View RV Inspections came up. The inspector is Jeff Holeman. I reviewed his information and felt that because not only is he a Certified RV inspector he is a Certified RV Technician. I gave Jeff the particulars on the coach. He then sent me information about 2 different types of inspections he performs along with the price. I opted to go with the more detailed inspection as I wanted to know what needed to be fixed before we drove off with the coach. I didn't want to pay for the coach without any needed repairs being completed before we gave them the money. Even though the coach is brand new, the factory does not always send out coaches that have nothing wrong with them. Jeff was very thorough and, because of a time crunch on my part, completed the inspection and report on the same day. After Jeff completed the inspection, he called me to give me a brief overview and noted one item he considered major and one item minor. He sent me a detailed 70-page report that included pictures of everything he found that needed attention. The next day I sent a copy of the report to my salesman with a request of the items I expected to be repaired before we completed the sale transaction. Had I not had the inspection done, I likely would have taken the coach home and later discovered the items that Jeff detailed in the report. Then I would have to drive 6 hours back to the dealership to get them fixed. Jeff was a life safer. I really appreciated the professional way Jeff inspected the coach and kept me informed of what he was going to do and what he found that was significant. My wife and I were in the market for our first RV and came across a unit we liked in Baton Rouge. I knew we needed professional guidance and after a bit of a search, found Jeff Holeman, a Certified RV inspector. I called Jeff and we discussed my needs as well as his experience and capabilities. He offered me several options on the type of information that was important to me, how much of his time I needed, and what I wanted to spend. He made a difficult decision easy for me. We agreed to meet at the location of the unit a few days later. When I met Jeff face-to-face he made me feel comfortable and confident that I had found the right guy. Jeff went to work on the punch list I had provided him, while I did my own survey. He was right there to answer my questions as we went along. The RV market is bonkers these days (fall '21). Nothing stays on the market and when a unit is introduced, it's about 25% or more over the cash value. Major supply and demand imbalance due in many ways to Covid. If you open your search up beyond your local area, like I did, it's nice having a piece of mind that someone would put the same care into researching a coach as you would. Jeff did that for us. We were in the market for a good Tiffin coach. One popped up in Hammond, LA. Since I live in Texas, it wasn't practical for me to drive there, inspect, and return home to start the paperwork if the coach met my desires. We were in the market for a class A Motorhome and found what we were looking for in Hammond, LA. We live in Jacksonville, FL so we didn't want to drive 550 miles just to turn around and come back empty handed because the rig was not maintained well. First time RV buyer, buying a Class A coach from almost 1,000 miles away. Jeff was an excellent communicator, and provided me with a detailed, lengthy report (67 pages if I remember correctly). Most of them were minor items, small sealant issues, etc. but could have become major problems had we not known what to look for during our own inspection. The coach also had a short in a wire nut inside the inverter, which likely saved me hours of headaches and potentially a very dangerous situation. Provided the report to the dealership, and three technicians spent the better part of 4 hours attending to the items and that doesn't include several hours the previous day on the inverter issue. The cost of RV technician labor alone would have cost me several times the cost of the inspection. Needless to say, Jeff is great, and if you are looking for an RV inspection in southern Louisiana, Jeff is definitely your guy. read more

Long story. We bought a new Ahara 395FB in Texas and got a bad feeling about the dealer. Changed gears and purchased from Berryland Campers in Louisiana. We found Jeff through RVHelp.com to do a pre-purchase inspection. Jeff's communication and professionalism was over the top. We were purchasing an RV from out of state and decided we need a NRVIA Certified inspector to review before traveling. We searched the https://nrvia.org/locate for an inspector in the area . Jeff provided us with a written list of inspection options. We selected the type of inspection and signed the inspection agreement and paid via safe payment method. We agreed upon a date with the Seller and Jeff promptly performed the inspection of our 2021 Tiffin Wayfarer 25 LW. We had a great experience with Jeff. He did a detailed inspection on the coach we were hoping to purchase. He called after the inspection to give a summary of his findings, then sent a large detailed report with photos. Jeff made himself easily available, even after the inspection. I was considering the purchase an older RV with a brand new diesel engine, located a ways away from my home. Reached out to Jeff who quickly arranged a very thorough inspection. Pictures had not shown some of the bigger problems such as heavy rust on chassis and soft areas of roof. The owner did not present coach as in ideal shape, but he had significantly underestimated, and understated, the problems, which quickly added up to a lot of work and costs to be safe and operational.
