I have been searching for an RV unit for three or four months. I've talked to dealers throughout the country. Many of them sound very reasonable over the phone, but when talks continued and details are revealed the information that started out was slightly deceptive. I didn't expect anything different from Miller's RV, but the salesman Trey sounded very honest and accommodating, so discussions continued. Several dealers had the unit I wanted, a Thor Scope 18ZS but there were always "add on's" and surprise fees as I got closer to a deal. With Miller's RV the discussion never changed. What they listed was what you got. That settled it for me. I traveled 1200 miles to make the deal. Being so far from home, I was a little nervous as I had committed myself and was at their mercy. When I got to Miller's the experience could not have gone better. The unit was clean, prepped and ready and their shop guy Pete was down to earth and explained every detail about the unit systems and maintenance etc. He was a wealth of knowledge. Best of all, during this whole process there were zero surprises! They went out of their way to make things easy and pleasant. We booked an RV to travel to Colorado so we could take my elderly father who has Parkinson's along with us. (He has difficulties with getting in and out of vehicles, mobility and health conditions that make frequent trips to the bathroom a necessity.) It was not at all what I would consider affordable, but was worth the sacrifice to have our family together. Let's start off with the one positive. The trip had to be rescheduled due to a hospitalization of one of the family members and the staff was very accommodating with rescheduling the dates of our trip. When it was time for the trip I was notified that the RV we had booked was not available due to need for repairs and that they would provide a substitute for us. We were provided a different class RV that was almost 10 feet longer, 2 feet wider and averaged a gas mileage less than 10 mpg as opposed to the 20 mpg we had anticipated. (This is a huge difference on a trip over 2000 miles!) We proceeded with the rental because we had lots of other paid arrangements depending on it. Right away we noticed that the vehicle was so loud (odd transmission noises and many creaks and rattles) that we could not even hold a conversation while driving. Within the first few hours of the trip the table fell over into my child (due to rusted out screws that stripped from the floor board) and the "oil change required" light illuminated on the dashboard. (The sticker on the windshield indicated that an oil change age was due at 40,410 miles. The vehicle was at 49,470 miles.) As we drove through the night the generator stopped working at about 2am and was unable to restart. I called the help number as directed at about 6am the following morning and was walked through troubleshooting the issue only to find out that the generator had no oil in it at all. Clearly it had not been serviced appropriately. I did not have the time to backtrack or waste a day getting the repairs done in the panhandle of Texas so we drove out of Texas before the temperature rose. The company was to arrange to send someone out to fix the generator when we arrived in Colorado but was unable to identify a provider in their network to do so. We parked the vehicle when we arrived in Colorado and didn't use it again until we loaded up a week later to head home. With the generator being out we attempted to keep everyone cool with battery powered fans and cold drinks but had to stop during the heat of the day to seek refuge. We got back on the road in the evening and were heading through Dallas as we experienced a blowout while driving in the middle lane of five lanes of interstate traffic in a construction zone. I was driving a vehicle that was 8.5 feet wide in a lane that was 10-11 feet wide carrying the most precious cargo in the world - that should give you an understanding of my level of focus, I did not hit anything. We safely got off to the service road and pulled into a parking lot to call for assistance. I called the emergency number provided but was unable to reach anyone so I ended up calling for emergency road assistance through my own insurance company. We arrived back home much later than anticipated but safe. I thoroughly cleaned and returned the RV and was told that they were to review all the issues and would get back to me. Over two weeks later I still hadn't heard anything so I went by the store to check. I was told that they had just mailed a check out to me. We reviewed the details and I discovered that they had made additional charges of over $500 for excess mileage (which they had told me was already calculated in the rate while making the reservation and discussing the distance we were traveling) and almost $500 more for the tire repairs stating that I was at fault for the damages. They had also entered the wrong dates of rental on the contract and had overcharged two days. The reimbursement of those two days equaled just over $200. That calculation sounds a little off for a rental rate that is $330 per day! And lastly, I obviously had to eat the charge of the emergency roadside assistance because they did not reimburse that fee. I was not asking for a profit. I simply wanted them to honor the contract and reimburse my deposit and emergency roadside fee along with $660 credit for 2 unused days. I am walking away and washing my hands of these crooks because I don't have the time or resources to fight this but I feel that hard working people should know this information so they don't get stuck in a rotten situation. So if you want to blow $5K on a miserable experience that could be sold for movie rights to National Lampoon's, knock yourself out. Our RV days are over. read more

As per Miller's RV's website, they are a "family-owned dealership that has been serving the Greater Baton Rouge for the past 31 years. Co-owner Jeff Hilliard and his wife Jennie bought Miller's RV from Jennie's dad (Rhett Miller - now the Sales Manager) in 2016 and kept the great legacy of Miller's RV in the family." My experience at Miller's was strictly with the service department when I assisted my father-in-law in the dropping off and picking up of his Monaco Riptide RV. Although he did not purchase his RV from Miller's, they provide service to new and used RV's and travel trailers of almost every brand. They have six (6) factory trained technicians all working for Service Manager Craig Delatte. My father-in-law's RV's on-board Cummins/Onan generator was not working properly (kept cutting off after 10-15 minutes) and the batteries were not staying charged. The service staff at Miller's quickly diagnosed the generator issue (bad circuit board) and now the generator stays running. They also identified a wiring issue and now the batteries are charging correctly. They also reconnected the 2 solar panels and the charge controller as lagniappe. Lastly, they removed and re-caulked all the roof seals; and the turnaround time was less than 2 weeks. Although the service department is closed on Saturday, we were still able to pick up the unit via the sales staff. All in all, we had a very good experience here. read more

Met with David, who answered our questions and let us look around with zero pressure. We found a unit we liked, but went ahead and shopped around before making a final decision. I wish I would have saved myself the time and hassles and made just this one stop. If you're in the market for an RV, go see Miller's. Came here to look at RVs with the parents and I was very impressed. The staff knew their RVs at least as well as we did which is saying something since my parents have had more than 20 years of experience with the things and I basically grew up in and around them. The sales staff were friendly but not pushy which is nice; we made it clear we were just looking for now (my parents are scouting out a used RoadTrek or smaller class C) and didn't seem put off at all by the fact that they probably weren't going to get a sale out of us. We test drove two RVs as well which required them to really go out of their way to shuffle vehicles around to get to the particular ones we were interested in. The service department looked good; I had a chance to look at some of the work they were doing on other RVs and it was done without any apparent shortcuts. They have a well stocked parts division as well and were able to tell us whether or not certain modifications we were interested in were possible on the models we inspected. They had a good stock of used, commission and new RVs for sale across a very wide variety of classes from little tow trailers up. No fifth wheels though, but to me that's not much of a downside as it's the class we had the least interest in. read more

Starting with Terry at the front desk, to Jeff the owner, Craig who is head of the service department, Blake the intake service guy, and all the mechanics.... they are wonderful! As an employee of Miller's RV, it wasn't a debatable one. It was, simply, the expected one. I have been dealing with Miller RV for a number of years. They have always gone out of their way to help me whenever I had a problem or needed parts. They recently had to do some repairs on my rv. I can't explain what an excellent job they did on my repairs. You cannot tell anything was ever wrong. It looks as good as coming from the factory. Miller's treated us well, however the repair job they did on our air bags lasted 3 weeks. The original air bags lasted 14 years. When we called they suggested the chassis had shifted and caused the problem. Called our hometown Winnebago dealer (we were 600 miles from Millers and 650 from our dealer and waiting for road service). Our dealer said it was probably rear brakes which when worn down cause the calipers to contact the air bags. We then called Tennessee RV where the coach was to be towed to see if they were equipped to do chassis work if necessary. They said yes but it was probably the rear brakes. They replaced the rear brake pads and the one damaged air bag (Miller's had told us they could only get air bags in pairs.) The cost was a fraction of what Miller's charged us. Millers refused to stand by their work. Please beware of this business. read more

Went to get an oil change and fuel filter change. They never changed the fuel filter on the motorhome and still charged way to much. You can buy oil at most all stores for 14.00 a gallon or less, 15w 40w and for this 450hp takes 6 gallons that would be 84.00 not over 182.00 dollars and they get it cheaper buying it in bulk. Paying over $600.00 for oil change won't happen again. read more
