I ran across the Historic Adamson House grounds while attempting to walk my dog to the beach, but…read moreshe is elderly and was getting too tired so we detoured into this dog friendly beautiful spot! The grounds are very well maintained and there is a little shade but good thing I had my umbrella bc it was a bit hot in the sun but nice and cool in the shade so I was shielding myself and my dog with my umbrella. I did not go into the Adamson House because I'm sure dogs are not allowed inside but it was beautiful to see from outside. There was a nice deck with stairs that led down to a body of water that looks like it goes out to the beach, it was pretty to take photos there. I just sat for a little while enjoying looking at the wildlife and smelling the fresh air.

Each location offers its own personality, but Adamson House continues to stand out. The combination of historic architecture, hand-painted tile details, and the unobstructed Malibu coastline creates a setting that feels both intimate and expansive. Lighting throughout the property changes beautifully as the sun moves, especially during golden hour when the ocean backdrop becomes incredibly dynamic on camera. From a production standpoint, the layout allows for a natural flow between ceremony, portraits, and reception. The oceanfront lawn offers open space for wide scenic compositions, while the Spanish-style courtyard adds depth and texture for more detailed, artistic shots. My team documented a wedding there under our studio name, Prince Weddings (PrinceWeddings.net), and the experience reinforced how well this venue photographs and films when thoughtfully planned. This review reflects only my direct experience working at the property and is shared to help couples better understand what it offers from a visual and logistical perspective.

We were visiting from out of town for business in California. We had requested a room at the…read morelibrary so that we could conduct our meeting. When we arrived, we were surprised to see three or four homeless individuals sleeping right by the courthouse, just to the left of the library. Given that this is a wealthy liberal area known for advocating social issues, it was disappointing to see that little seems to be done about the problem. All talk no action! That said, once inside, the library was a completely different experience. My wife and I reserved a private room to get some work done, and we found the space to be quiet, well-organized, and neatly maintained. The librarian was friendly and helpful, which made our visit even better. If you're looking for a peaceful place to work or read, this library is a great option. Just be prepared for what you might encounter outside since the locals don't care!

This is the closest library to us when living in Malibu. The staff is notoriously rude, like beyond reason. They typically don't return hellos. Are cold. Lock the doors in the middle of the day making you wait outside with small children in tow. Most of the patrons during the day appear to be homeless or dirty druggie type young men that stand outside smoking, eat in the library, curse and watch TV on the computers. The arm guards are friendly and sadly very appreciated. Story time for toddlers is typically at 3:30pm, oddest story time slot for littles at any library. We come because we check out books on a regular basis. I prefer litterly any other library than this one. It doesn't feel clean, overtly safe or welcoming. The city of Malibu could do much better.
