It was easy to make reservations for the visit, the temple is well managed, staffed, and maintained. They offered an excellent selection of swag and merchandise for the believers and haters alike. My daughter and I made our first trip to Salem this weekend, and a visit to TST was at the top of our list of things to do. It did not disappoint. We spent several hours looking at the art on display, viewing the exhibits, and spending time in the library watching the documentary while flipping through books in their extensive collection. We both enjoyed the documentary, and it gave us both a greater appreciation for the important work TST does. If you've seen their online store, you know what to expect in the gift shop. I've ordered things online several times and always received my items promptly. The staff onsite was equally helpful in assisting my daughter select some jewelry that she loves. If you don't know what the temple stands for, I encourage you to stream the documentary "Hail Satan?" or read the FAQ on their website. TST is probably not at all what you think it is and the work they do is more important now than ever before. read more

I was lucky enough to visit the satanic temple on Halloween and it was a magical experience to say the least. I probably ended up waiting in line slightly longer than I was even inside the temple, but that was because of the day of the year I chose to visit on. There were many people in costume in line and even though space was tight, everyone was friendly and especially sweet to my little dog. The satanic temple is dog friendly, because of course it is. This place is all about love and inclusion. The building itself is a normal sized home so it can only hold so many people at once, but what it lacks in size it completely makes up for in presence. The moment you step inside, you are surrounded by beauty. I absolutely loved the design style, especially the wallpaper. It's so gorgeous and delicate that they even have signs asking people not to touch the walls. All the decor throughout the house is dark and ornate and incredibly detailed . It has this amazing Gothic energy . You just feel like you have been transported into a different world. The famed Baphomet statue is even cooler in person than in photos. It's bold and theatrical but also very thoughtfully displayed so that everyone can get a photo with it. I met s a lovely lady visiting from outside the country by herself and I noticed she was having difficulty getting some photos so I made sure to take pictures of her with the sculpture and then find her again upstairs so that I could get a picture of her in the throne. She was very kind and appreciative and mentioned how nice everyone had been since she arrived at the temple. It does get pretty packed at times, but it's amazing how much easier things are when you are surrounded by people who have a shared understanding of love and respect for others. I genuinely appreciate what this satanic temple advocates for and whether you agree with everything or not, there's just something refreshing about a space that challenges assumptions and encourages conversation in such a visually powerful way. If I were to return I would look into possibly staying here overnight. I saw a sign indicating that it is possible to rent out a portion of the temple and I think that would be amazing. I would also buy more things at the gift shop if I were to come back. I think I was just a little overwhelmed and there were so many things that I wanted. I had a hard time making a decision. I also probably wouldn't come on Halloween again but I'm glad that I did this time. This was a magical experience and I wouldn't change a thing. read more

To be quite honest, I found this place to be a little underwhelming. I don't know why but I was expecting a bit more; we were in and out within 12 mins. A little further away from the heart of Salem so I wouldn't suggest going out of your way to come here especially if it's your first time in Salem, there are so many other amazing places to see. It is definitely more of an Art Gallery than a Temple, but I think it's funny that they do offer to do wedding ceremonies here if this is your thing. They have some cool things to look at which is the Satan Misfortune Teller in the gift shop, art work, the large Satan throne and my favorite thing was the Lil Nas Satan Nike Air Max shoes. I also found out from a local afterwards that this place is always getting bomb threats which would have been some nice information to know before coming here. read more

Such a beautiful place! We went for full moon yoga and had a great time enjoying the art work and gorgeous decor. The staff were so friendly and the vibes checked all the boxes! We're members of our local(ish) chapter of TST and love to support all the good work they do. I was so grateful and surprised to get to also see original Dali's while we were there, and my husband loved seeing the pictures (he's a Dali enthusiast). Definitely will visit again. read more

Underwhelming, but tbh I'm not entirely sure what I was expecting? I freely grant you - that is on me for having expectations of something that were probably unwarranted. Tbf, the art gallery was pretty neat. I did appreciate seeing the artist renderings of various horror films and monsters. It always really impresses me how talented folks are. The highlight was the statue of Baphomet. Not sure how much that thing cost to have built, but it was worth it. Especially because it is sure to make a great many people squirm and gasp in collective horror. And for that, I support it. read more

But it was a lot of fun, and how many people can say they've been to the headquarters of the Satanic Temple?! Many people don't understand what the Temple stands for--equality, equity, autonomy of body and spirit, and more (I recommend the documentary Hail Satan!). A lot of provocative art pieces and photo ops, and staff onsite very nice. Baphomet statue as well. About 7/10ths of a mile from downtown and has onsite parking. Who believe in science, social justice, that all people are people, that we need to be rectifying the mistakes we make in this lifetime. The satanic temple is not "evil". Stopping by Salem and you dont make this one of your places to visit? you my friend, are a fool. no matter what you dont, or do believe in, i think most people can appreciate this temple. its truly beautiful and decorated so well. mostly educational, but also some comical pieces, i never felt pressured to become a follower or believer. its truly for your amusement, and admiration. downstairs is art, upstairs is more factual and educational. all in total, there are 2 rooms upstairs, and downstairs also has 2 room. we didnt need an appointment, just grabbed our masks and paid the $10 to get in. i loved the wallpaper, to the chairs, to how everything was displayed. dont forget to spend some time in the gift shop, i loved their inscense and cant wait to order more. the t-shirts are lovely too. free parking! read more

We started our trip to Salem with a visit to the Satanic Temple and Art Museum. Our host was super friendly. All the art was really cool. There was a large Baphomet statue which you could take pictures with. The throne room was another awesome photo opportunity. While Bestie and I were in Salem, we decided we should visit the Temple. The GPS brought us to a residential section of the town, and if it wasn't for the sign out front, we would not have guessed the average-looking house (albeit, painted a very dark gray) was the home of The Satanic Temple. We entered through the main doors, and found ourselves in a small vestibule, with the visitor's reception area/gift shop, to the left. It seemed like the best place to start. Alex, who manages the gallery, and I had had a brief email exchange about hours, was on duty the day we visited, and immediately knew who I was when we entered. Very welcoming and sorta spooky! We paid our admission ($12, since we weren't members), received instructions (don't open doors, don't look behind curtains, and take as many photos as we'd like) and went on our self-guided tour of the building. Downstairs are two large sculptures, including the infamous Baphomet statue that was intended for the Oklahoma State Capitol (neither Bestie nor I posed with it, although, it is allowed). I was more interested in the art work, especially the Salvador Dali woodcuts, and I was immediately impressed by the carefully curated works on display, all hung against a beautiful black velvet wall covering. Upstairs are the library and the throne room, both impressive in different ways. While the library was rather utilitarian and comfortable, the throne room, done up in red and gold, was immediately both impressive and intimidating, We headed back downstairs, and poked around the wares offered for sale. We stayed a bit longer than we anticipated as I was waiting for Writer Friend to text back which t-shirt she wanted, and chatted with Alex for quite a while. He was very knowledgeable about the displays, and gave us a lot of background on various pieces. I would recommend this as a stop for anyone who is serious about art, or want to learn more about the mission of The Satanic Temple (Spoiler alert: It's not about Satan). read more

Such an incredible place to check out, even if you aren't a member of the satanic temple (if you are there is a discount) gorgeous place with some incredible artwork. Of course the most important thing here is the 8 foot baphomet statue that you can sit on and take photos with. It was such a delight to visit The Satanic Temple's one and only location. The decor was sooooo elegant and well done, right down to the wallpaper. The artwork on display was very interesting and pulled together the entire aesthetic. I love that this is one of the seemingly few places where COVID precautions are still in place, requiring both a vaccination card and proper masks to enter. my fiance and my friend visiting the state went yesterday around 2pm. whoever was working was so, so awful. she completely ruined my mood. we had masks in our hands but we dug them out from the bottom of our car and they were used, so we asked if they had new masks. she said "umm...i guess" so rudely. she also was flat and dull and didn't show any positivity or fun character. they also don't put anywhere on the site that they charge an admission fee. it was not worth $12 in my opinion. the temple itself was nothing to brag about. it wasn't anything SUPER special, except for the original dali paintings in the front room. they don't even showcase them which is so weird to me. i didn't learn anything about the religion or practices. read more

Admission is 12 dollars, but I am a member so it cost me five. Well worth the money, to me. I know most people come here for photos with the Baphomet statue, not really knowing what TST is about or what their message is. So be sure to check out some literature when you visit! It is so important to know their origins and to know what you're supporting when you stop by! Beautiful artwork in this multi-room, dual-level gallery. Each room has a different feel to it, and a different theme. The staff were so friendly and welcoming. I walked 20 minutes from downtown and it was well worth it. read more

The gallery itself is very small, but the pieces on exhibit are stunning and unlike anything you will see at other museums. Consider the exhibits definitely a solid PG-13 if you are bringing a child, but there was nothing gratuitous - especially if your kid is not a stranger to art. I consider the 12 dollar admission a good value solely for the viewing of the Baphomet statue, a powerful icon representing the fight for the separation of religion and state. You are allowed to touch and photograph the Baphomet as well, which is absolutely breathtaking in person. (The attendant was nice enough to take our pic with it too!) The attendant was super friendly and helpful - this was a great experience and a highlight of my recent trip to Salem (I am a huge fan of the cause, and the good work the Temple does in exposing hypocrisy and double standards in the USA).
