Huge fan of the Sauce'D Pig here! in my opinion it is the best restaurant on the North End Of Dalton! We always start with The fried jalapeño slices, they are to die for. Hubby always gets the spicy spud on tots, he loves it. Burgers are huge and delicious. Really have never had a bad bite here and service is always great. read more

This is my rating for the area, against KC BBQ or Texas it would probably 2-2.5. I did a taste test against another BBQ joint in Dalton and this place was not the winner. I tried the ribs first from Sauce'D Pig not really much smoke flavor and they fell right off the bone and not much flavor from the rub. However for some reason the very last couple pieces I ate had smoke flavor. It was really weird. The other place had a really good rub on the ribs that you can definitely taste and a good Smokey flavor. It also had a little pull when you take the first bite that you are looking for with ribs. The brisket at Sauce'D Pig was dry, chopped and lacked in flavor and smokeyness. Couldn't taste the rub at all. The brisket at the other place had a nice smoke ring, good rub and good Smokey flavor. I also like the baked beans better at the other place vs Sauce'D Pig, they just had a richer flavor. The sauces were good at both places. However the preference was the other places sauce. The other side I got was southern slaw, it was ok. Not great. However one thing I did really enjoy at Sauce'D Pig was the corn nuggets, that's from the kid in me. I love those simple little things. The pulled chicken was meh as well just lacked in flavor. read more

What a find !!!! We started with wings and corn nuggets. Then we had the Pulled pork plate, Spud and BBQ, and the ribs as our main dinner. Everything they brought to the table was amazing. The service was exceptional as well. When you think you are finished...its time for desserts. The Brunswick stew I 8 with a fork, and it was amazing. I got a rib plate and the ribs were extraordinary. I want to make sure that barbecue was in front in a review about a barbecue restaurant but I'm not lying when i tell you these are the best onion rings I've had in my life. The pork was very good and the bake beans solid. My wife and i also found the Texas toast to be unusually good. Never thought to put that enter of you, but it was good enough to put it here. I am very excited that we found this place and look forward to trying more of their food in the future. read more

We were just driving through Georgia looking for regional, local food and found The Sauce'D Pig. Yum! We had the sampler plate with bologna, brisket, pulled pork, okra, corn nuggets and of course fried pickles! The meats were tender and tasty and the sides were fried crispy. I liked the hot bbq sauce the best- spicy but won't make you cry. The service genuinely nice. If you are craving smoked meats and fried sides you will not be disappointed. First time here. I got the pork plate with baked beans and onion rings. The food was ok. Not great. Not horrible. The portion was too small for the price paid. Other places serve you much more for the same price, same food. The onion rings were way too salty. Wasn't asked if it was for dine in or take out, so the girl just put it in a to-go box. Staff was a little less than courteous. Nicer to the white people. I didn't even get a smile or a greeting, the white people did. Hint of racism, I guess? Very friendly service. The dry rub wings were amazing. All of the food was good, but the wings stole the show.

I got the sampler plate with pork, chicken and ribs. Ribs were not cut right and looked like a piece of cheap meat that had been cooked in a pan then slightly reheated before being thrown on my plate. Tough and dry. Pork and chicken were both chopped into pretty small pieces, not pulled at all. Both were tasteless and dry. The 2 sauces that were on the table had too much vinegar in them and was almost too tangy to eat. One of the bottles was terribly crusted on the spout and I had to ask for a replacement. The baked beans and potato logs were both pretty good. Only got 2 logs. Seriously not worth the $14.95 I spent for the meal. Ate enough to fill me up and left the rest there. I was hoping to take some home for a meal later but I couldn't imagine eating it after if was reheated. Service was great, waitress was friendly and kept drinks filled.
