The interior was so beautiful and scary, but in a classy way. There were unique book editions and artwork everywhere. I took home an Ozzy Osbourne post card that fit perfectly on my refrigerator. I actually didn't realize that they are also a tattoo studio - that would have been cool to check out, but I was so distracted and intrigued with the front of the store that I never even noticed. I was first greeted by Bee, an apprentice at The Fox and Fable, who was warm and welcoming. Bee expressed that they had time for a walk-in and started the check-in process with me. Bee spent such a long, and essential, time listening to my vision and what I wanted out of this tattoo. They were kind, funny, and made sure I felt listened to. They printed over 5 versions of my tattoo idea, that they hand drew for me, and asked me what I did and did not like about it, any changes, and actively listened to what I said. I have had so many negative experiences with tattoo artists, stating their preference on what is permanently on MY body, the placement, my ideas of tattoos, being annoyed with my questions and concerns, etc... Bee was the opposite. After the consultation Bee and I worked on the sizing, made more adjustments, and then they started tattooing me. Their fine line and coloring work is beyond what I had imagined and seen on their social media. Bee was gentle and informative about what they were doing to me the entire time. I have always wanted a regular tattoo artist who I can trust with my future art, and I finally found on with Bee. They may be an apprentice right now but they are so beyond talented, accommodating, and compassionate that I can't wait to see what they do next. He coordinated and accommodated 8 family members in one day -- some getting simple script tattoos while helping others create custom designs incorporating Yai Yai's handwriting. It was Debora, who pierced me incorrectly, either knowing or not knowing I didn't have the right anatomy. The bar touches my flat, which is a big no no. She never told me to come back and get it downsized, and I have incredibly large bumps on my ear now where I was pierced. It's been 5 months, it has ALWAYS touched my flat, and even following care instructions it was always irritated. I didn't know ANY of this until I went and saw a proper piercer. I've had to remove and retire the piercing.
