You can get access to a bigger selection of ebooks if you sign up your library card with the libby app. For those that are here for the summer only and wondering how to get a card, you can bring in a copy of your tax record or I believe a utility bill to apply for a card. This really is a nice library. On the second floor there is a deck overlooking the wetlands and bay which would be a great spot to read and enjoy a cup of coffee. The sea isle city historical museum is also located within the library. Now, the main thing that gets this library 5 stars is the kid's programming. We came here all summer and the amount of programs they have for kids is awesome. The library in my hometown still refuses to do any in person indoor kids programming because of Covid and never brought back out the kid toys. My daughter is only 3 so she has never been able to enjoy our local library (Haverford Township) for basically her entire life. So, the SIC library has been a breath of fresh air this summer. The children's librarian who does story time is great along with all the other the library workers. Thank you to those who run this library for providing great educational activities! And for other parents who may be concerned, the programs for young kids here seems to be developmentally appropriate and not "woke"!

It's sort of a Swiss Army Knife thing going on with the building housing a common lobby area with wireless internet, the Aquatic & Fitness Center, Arts Center, Museum, Library, Senior Center and a Café. Even without a book sale going on this library has a nice size to it and really offers a broad scope of material. Of course with not being a resident it's a no-go on borrowing but everything is still very bright, open and airy. Back to the book sale. It's a complete zoo where it seems like the whole town shows and up I can see why because they have tons of books, DVD's and yes even VHS's for sale at very reasonable prices starting at a quarter for a book. I know that most people on vacation wouldn't dream of hanging out in a library but if you get a questionable weather day this one is top notch and is great place to spend some time.

Who ever heard of paying to park at the library. 2) They have no plugs for laptops--I went there needing to work, and could not believe there were NO PLUGS--they actually have a note that says 'No Plugs." So I plunk down $1.50 in the meter, go inside, and have to leave because my laptop isn't charged. Really, charging for parking? No plug-ins? Unreal.

Which means you can rent from any library in Delaware. Like other progressive libraries, they have a small but very nice collection of books on CD, MP3 books, DVDs, as well as the typical periodicals and hardcover books. What came as a surprise to me is that the library also offers some kind of cool services to library card members; you can print any document to the library's printer and they will hold it for 72 hours. (small fee). You can also fax to and from the library if you need to. You also can download and read books on your ipads via the Internet, as well as reserve books from other libraries to be delivered to the Rehoboth Library using their online website. It houses bathrooms, A/C, Wi-Fi, a large selection of reading materials, and several seating areas including four comfy armchairs. Best of all, they have a huge selection of DVDs that spans multiple shelves and ranges from older films to ones as recent as last year. There's also a separate shelf for newly released movies that came out this year. Fortunately, we were able to get library cards simply by giving the librarian our IDs and an email confirmation of the place we were staying at. I guess that makes sense when most of your summer clientele are tourists. We come to Cape May once a year, so we'll be hitting this library up all the time.

Not a town of weekly rentals but rather monthly or seasonal renters mixed with many owners who occupy there homes mostly in the summer months and occasionally weekends during the remainder of the year. The beaches are beautiful, well maintained and guarded. The families and beach goers are friendly. Byo food of drink as there is not a boardwalk or commercial entities on the beach except the rolling ice cream man. Great place to bring your family. Some nightlife west along the bay or at Ventnor Coffee. Right next door is the the lovely Ventnor Boardwalk and a stones throw to Atlantic City or Ocean City. Margate's the Best!
