Horrible. Stu overcrowds the room and started the class by bitching that people waited too long to…read moresign up. (Doesn't even make sense -- then just don't take them or set another session) The guest instructors are pretty much fossils and one is racist, made disparaging remarks about some other nationality -- ironically, ADRE has very strict rules about professional behaviour regarding that sort of thing. Moreover, he tries to save money by not turning on air con -- we would stealthily turn it up when passing to washroom -- which is right off the main classroom, so also not really recommended to go during class, as you can hear EVERYTHING, not just the flush. And then when he realizes the air is on, he goes and turns it off. haha. Then they charge $2 for Keurig coffee. No wifi. I asked the assistant on the first day, (who was cool and also his apparently long-suffering wife) and she laughed and said 'are you kidding?' (meaning do you think he'd spend any money he didn't have to?) His favorite story was how he scored a commercial building for practically nothing in Phoenix in a tax auction; apparently the people were not receiving the tax notices and then became delinquent, and he scooped it up. Oh and the hair. He has a toupe from the year of the flood It probably matched his hair colour at one time, but it's distinctly different now and is obvious to the point of being distracting. The only reason I could see going to it if you live in Sedona and don't feel like driving to the good school in Phoenix on 1st street, where there is a much more professional atmosphere, good coffee, wifi, and air con. I went there for the contract class and something else and it was GREAT. The friends I made in class and I still laugh about the Stu experience. The classes were so bad -- teaching dry and boring with way too many personal stories that highlighted his success as opposed to stories that illustrate the point. Plus the room was so hot and crowded that I slept through alot of it (and was scolded for doing so!) and then just did heaps of study with friends. We got the books with the exams and learned from them. He says he calls it the best school because somehow all those letters are in his name, but when we spell his name, S, T, U.... -- we found other words that also fit his explanation. The good things about class: -not having to drive to Phoenix. -frequent quizzes that are apparently from the ADRE exam. He claims that he was or is on the committee that designs the test, so the quizzes are from (or every close to what is on) the exam and I think that was accurate. - how hard we laughed once outside the room. Go if you have to, but consider yourself warned and be prepared to do alot of home study; my friends and I scored highest in class, but apparently not everyone fared as well. Which was sad, because the material is actually interesting; things that are good to know for general knowledge if you have anything to do with real property, not just as an agent, and really not that difficult to comprehend. Oh and PS, I had lost my records and asked for the code number for competing the class (that was required for signing up for the test). He said he was not allowed to do that but somehow for $10 he could print it out on a piece of paper. Pants on fire. I called the other school and they gave it to me immediately and at no charge.

I wanted to take a moment to tell you about my recent school experience with How 2 Educate Real…read moreEstate School. The classes are offered during the week and weekend. This made it easy for me to fit classes into my hectic schedule of raising a child and working. One of my favorite parts about my instructor's teaching style is we were free to ask questions regarding the material and our own personal real estate experiences. I felt my instructor, Kathy, cared so much and took the time to make sure each one of the students in my class understood the more complex topics. Since everyone learns differently there were days that this was not an easy task. I have never met someone with such patience and incredible knowledge of real estate. Her class set up was incredibly conducive for me to learn the enormous amount of real estate material! Kathy is the reason I felt so prepared for the state exam (and yes I passed the 1st time, woohoo!) and further more to practice real estate! Just wanted to give a big shout out and thanks to Kathy and How 2 Educate Real estate school!

I registered for this class and drove from Flagstaff to Sedona to attend the first session and…read morelet's just say it was 8 hours I'll never get back. Honestly, I found the "teacher" to be condescending, unprofessional and sexist. I showed up promptly at 9am and the doors were locked...only to have her show up at 9:20am. She explained that the class could start anywhere from 9am to 9:30am. I thought...fine...that gives me extra time to drive down the hill to attend classes in the future. However, rather than apologize for being late she told me she would obviously have to teach me how to relax. At the time, I thought that was an odd comment but it later proved to be just the tip of the iceberg. She prepared for the class by making some coffee so I chatted with her and asked her how many people would be showing up today and asked her a question about some of the materials she sent me a couple days earlier. She stopped me mid sentence and asked me why men always want to get things done yesterday and always want to hurry through everything and never want to put in the time to do things right! I was stunned. And she continued...men try to explain things with 3 words and women take the time to give you much more detail. Okay...this is getting stranger by the minute...but maybe she just didn't have her morning coffee. Next, she asked me for my gmail address so she could email me a set of reading materials. I explained that I didnt have gmail and that i used a corporate address through outlook and i couldn't access my outlook email on the class computer. She then said that in addition to teaching me how to relax...she would obviously have to teach me about computing as well and help move me into the 21st century. Condescending...No? The final straw was during a question and answer session. Her correct answers were not the same as her own answer key and i was trying to figure out is the correct answer A or B. Frankly, I didn't care whether it was A or B or both...but i wanted to know for sure. I pointed this issue out to her on 3 separate occasions and she ignored my attempt to clarify. When it happened again she finally demanded...not asked...demanded me to step outside so we could talk. I am a 49 year old MAN with 2 degrees and a business i've run for 20 years...not a 10 year old child. I told her i had enough of the abusive, sexist, condescending and unprofessional behavior and told her I was quitting her class. To her credit she offered me my money back immediately. Can i give this class zero stars? I would if i could.
