Very Poor Quality - Originally we were going to get the base screen ($250 at the time) but we "upgraded" to the thicker frame ($350) not knowing that 3 weeks later the door wouldn't even lock. Although the worker was nice, he put 3 sets of holes into our wall just to make it close. AFTER he made the screen he said our doorway was "goofy" and he added a pice of metal at the top of the door way in order for the screen to fit properly. Attached are pictures showing the poor craftsmanship quality. He tried to flip the door latch upside down (which was so confusing) in order for the door to close because the latch wasn't attaching to the cheap thin latch. So he changed to a thicker one, but it still does not lock properly. I asked if he could make a new screen to for my "goofy" door and he said no. Then I asked to downgrade to the base screen and his manager said no. I'm truly disappointed and would not recommend them. read more

They take too long to return you call. Finally got an appointment, which wasn't fast. He came out and measured, we discussed what I wanted which wasn't complicated. It was very straight forward. I received the estimate and then gave them the go a head. I then received a call from the owner that I would have to wait about a month for the screen doors and it would be another $100.00 more because I wanted black. Not a special color, rose gold, bronze, etc. just black. I didn't place the order. I was told several times , we are busy sorry for the delay. My suggestion would be to go with someone who needs the business especially during these difficult times. They clearly don't need the business or care. read more

I had asked for any recommendations or advice. No reply. I had also asked why? No reply. I find this to be very unprofessional therefore o would not recommend this business. read more

I can say enough wonderful things about this company. Their customer service and work/product integrity is excellent. I had Norma replace over 10 windows and 2 complicated sliding screen doors. All of the screens were customized specifically for every window and the screen doors with the pet-resistant material have help up beautifully against my German Shepherd and escape-artist cat. We are Real Estate Broker's and have heard about the Screen Lady for several years.... always great recommendations. We recently moved into a new home and decided we would call her about "Cat Proof" Screens... as the love of our life... still has her claws :-) We needed two different screens with "Cat Proof" fabric... and we needed a custom rolling door screen for our sun porch. Matthew the young man that did the work was fantastic. He called 15 minutes prior to arriving to tell us he was on the way. When he got to our home he was professional... courteous... and brought in samples of the two different weights of "Cat Proof" screening material available... and made suggestions based on his own experience with his pets. I decided to walk out to the custom trailer he worked from to watch how he made the screens. I was amazed at his attention to detail... anything done very well.... looks easy. But Matthew's skills went way beyond doing his job well. He is a perfectionist.... and treats every step of the process artistically, safely, and efficiently. The custom door really impressed me. Of course the opening was not square with 90 degree angles. One side of the door opening was 1/8" longer than the other side. He measured precisely... and then lubed the blade on the miter saw to ensure a smooth burr free cut. The angles were exact... the fit... perfect. He pre-lubed every self tapping screw ... and then took great care to stretch... and re-stretch the fabric to make sure it was "snap" tight... and square to the frame. Incredible attention to detail... a wonderful seldom seen work ethic... and the two screens and custom door are perfect. I will use these people and recommend them... for the rest of my life. read more

One of our darling children walked into our sliding screen door which bent the frame and caused the wheels on the bottom of the door to break out sections of the track. I had The Screen Lady send an installer out who replaced our custom size door building it to spec on site. He also replaced the broken track and re-screened another door for us that had small holes in it from our darling but mischievous cat. The installer used a pet screen material on both doors which is supposed to be four times stronger than regular screens. They were prompt, courteous, and fair priced. Both doors look and work great. The screen workmanship and repair was excellent, however, I was dismayed that the representative did not wear a mask inside my home or at all. It was very warm weather and the representative was visibly and audibly out of breath from exertion! Earlier in the day I had an unrelated repair under my kitchen sink -- that worker wore a mask the entire visit. We used The Screen Lady to install an invisible/retractable screen and replace 7 window screens throughout the house that had sun damage or was just showing age. Nhorma was very responsive and fantastic to work with. In fact, she was early to our appointment and called in advance to make sure that it was ok to come early. I always cringe when we contract work out because you never know how they'll treat your home. Nhorma was so professional throughout and was very considerate of our no shoes in the house policy -- even removed her shoes before I had to ask.
