Heidi treated Jake as we would, lots of attention, his walks and tons of kisses. Heidi walked Jake until 2013 when he passed at 16 1/2. Three years later, Rowan, a 2 year old lab/retriever mix, found us, and we hoped to once again find Heidi. She was our only choice. We were thrilled to hire Heidi's Hounds and Cats Too! once again and, as we predicted, Rowan LOVES Heidi too. Heidi sends pictures and updates of her daily visits which we love to receive. I was blessed to find her thru a friend. I was panicked when the sitter I used wasn't working out. My oldest Maltese who is my heart was suffering from an illness and my family had a trip planned. I was ready to cancel going but my very particular friend said I was in good hands with Heidi. I checked her reference and made my calls. I just couldn't kennel my babies. Heidi came over to meet us. It was something about her smile, the way she immediately got on the floor with my three and the tone of her voice that set me at ease. She assured me she would have no problem giving my Zoe medication 3 times a day. I hired her to do day visits and sleepovers. Oh I need to mention our Bichon was a rescue with major trust issues from being severely abused. So this job wasn't an easy one for Heidi. Heidi sent me messages during my trip which was so comforting. After a 7 day vacation I returned home to 3 very happy pups. All healthy. On regular sitting dog walking days, I get great notes when I return home. I love this lady!! It can be very quiet in my house and all I have to say is "Auntie Heidi" is coming to see you and then there is jumping and barking. They are crazy about Heidi.

Her love for animals truly is reassuring by her helpful and kind actions. She is very flexible, and is more than willing to go the extra mile for your dog. I heard about Midge through a neighbor and all my dealings with her have been very professional and altogether fantastic. Midge was very responsive to my e-mails. We did a meet and greet for about 20m to go over everything. She left behind her insurance certification, and a pen/book for when the walkers come to write about what seems to be just notes on bowel movements of my dog (she's a dog, it's not like they had conversations, haha). Midge was very understanding of all requests that I may/may not have had. She offered to take photos and send text messages after each walk, and etc... I was content without them. We set up another time to do a trial run and my pup responded very well. I handed over my keys and left for vacation. On my request, I received a text message once a day that spelled out anomalies (like she hasn't pooped) and victories (like when she finally pooped). It looked like my doggie was also warming up to Midge and her team (Celeste and Kristen). When we came home, everything was as expected and Midge also followed up with a call just to make sure we got home on-time and etc. Would recommend and this is a delightful way for me to take a vacation and not have to worry about my pup.

Steve made suggestions to better my dog's confidence. I was instructed in behavioral changes that helped me change my approach to making my dog less dependent. There are so many wonderful things to say about Deerpath Kennels, but the main accolade is the wonderful, happy attentive family who cares for the dogs. Groomer came out - had a brief convo about his meds and the look. She, Meli, didnt really try to connect with Bo at all - petting, eye contact, etc- which I found a bit disarming and walked back to the groom room. Very cold atmsphere overall. Bo was done in 2 hours- and I was told he had trouble standing and was asked if he had leg issues and explained again he was medicated to lessen the stress due to the epilepsy. Was told he was being charged as an x-large dog ( he is 65 pds). He had never been considered an xl before and I didnt understand the charge..Grooming was terrible .. Paid and left. Heres where the larger problem begins. Decided to speak to owner before I would write a negative review. She called back promptly - she was defensive, angry and although did ask what I wanted to make it better (I should of said full refund but didnt want her to yell at me more than she already had). She said grooming costs are basically subjective as to what the groomer wants to charge and how long the groom takes. She said my dog was OVERmedicated and thats why there may have been an issue, but then added that many dogs come in medicated and that I should be more understanding of the grooming issues because I dont know her business etc etc Basically, she spoke over me the entire time nastily and defensively and I was responding with "oh my gd" because I could not believe how I was being yelled at. I had to hang up the phone- could not get a word in edgewise and the defensiness and berrating continued when she called back. She said I kept "coming at her" and didnt have answer an answer for her question "what can I do to make it right". Honestly- I dont even know what would make it right. Maybe a kinder simpler conversation. So much disrespect and defensiveness tells me that it isnt the 1st time shes had complaints. She told me that her place "was not the place for me" No sht! New to the area- terrible 1st grooming experience.. Very disappointing...

I couldn't even go to the bathroom without him barking and whimpering outside the door. Then he started at Raise the Woof. He loves it there and now easily, and I might say, eagerly separates from me. Everyone at Raise the Woof truly cares about the dogs under their care. Raise the Woof is extremely clean and has large indoor and outdoor spaces for the dogs, who are separated into groups, to play and have a ball. At the end of the day my pup is completely exhausted.
