Rosado Works - Tell Luis What You're Hoping For & He'll Meet You All The Way- If Not Take It Further.

Somehow, when hubs and I moved from Westchester to the Catskills in '24, the top corner broke during transport. I couldn't part with this cherished heirloom piece- so I tried to DIY it. Tbh, I'm really not a DIYer- I rather pay someone to do it than me buying a gazillion products to repair something myself. Tucked away in the scenic town of High Falls, NY, Rosado Works is a rare find in a region full of furniture repair shops- but many that don't work on small pieces. While those repair shops overlook smaller pieces like mine, Rosado Works specializes in giving these items (and larger ones too) the attention they deserve. Luis isn't just a woodworker, but a true artisan. He treated that one specific jewelry case with the respect it deserved, carefully repairing the worn look of it, refreshing the finish and bringing it back to life. Honestly, my jewelry case now stands sturdier- hell, even prettier than I ever imagined. I also brought a green painted chair with metal studs on the seat that needed one of its sticks on the back to be permanently placed. And while I tried using wood glue to hold the stick in place, that stick would hold for about a minute and fall all over again. So I needed Luis' help. Again, he went beyond the 'wood glue' because in reality, my chair needed more surgery than that. Just a heads-up: there might be a bit of a wait, as your pieces won't be the only ones on his bench. But he always gets to them- and staying in touch via text keeps things smooth. Totally worth the patience for the quality of work he delivers. Ca$h, Zelle & Venmo payments accepted. If you have something that matters- whether it's a family piece or a flea market find, this is the place to trust with it.

When the music teacher wanted to put it in her apartment, it did not fit through the door. My partner, who loved the bones of the couch, was willing to Uhaul it from the city to Upstate NY. And such bones! But also it had become mildewy and stained and I felt ill when I was nearby it. Osario's had a remarkable turn around time on the couch. They were kind and passionate about the work. All upholstery work is expensive (a free couch became a pricey one), but they strengthened the joints, polished the wood, changed out the cushions, and used the fabric we ordered on Etsy. Antonio was excited to show us that the original cushions were stuffed with grasses - probably 100+ years old. He also discovered hidden etch-work behind some of the cushions and reshaped the upholstery so it could be seen. The couch gleams and no longer smells bad. I would work with them again in a heartbeat. Thanks!!!!

In addition to new fabric, he installed new foam in the cushions and pillows and attached new sofa legs. The fabric on the sofa arms and the cushion piping displayed meticulous craftsmanship. Also, he sent photos of the fabric prior to starting the process for final approval. Antonio is pleasant and easy to work with and is anxious to satisfy his customers. I would highly recommend him and his team.
