Popped in here to look for some back issues for my husband. While there are tons of back issues in…read morelong boxes, they are very unorganized and inaccessible. Boxes are labeled but don't seem to be in any logical order and there were a bunch of boxes we couldn't even look at because they were underneath a plastic table cloth with stuff on top of them. Also, there was a boxes Funko Pop on the shelf. I went to grab it to ask my husband if it was one he needed for his collection and I was told to be careful because it wasn't for sale. Alright. Maybe that needs to be on a shelf behind the counter then. Or there needs to be a sign on that shelf that says nothing on it is for sale. Alas. Could be a nice source for back issues if they were organized and accessible.

Up front is random games and comics. It's nice looking for what was once a sort of army paraphernalia room of an antique store. Now more of a Starbase like its name. In the back they have tables to play card or board games. They have a big selection of snacks and drinks to fill you up when gaming. Service was friendly and was ready to answer any question.

The organization here is excellent, and everything is clean, bagged properly, and easy to find. It's clearly a work in progress but the hard work shows. I visited this shop as well as the two most local shops to it, and this one is the only shop where I felt welcome, and able to shop. This is the best comic book shop in the palm desert area. Even though the shop appears small, they have a wide variety of different comics, toys, hobby items, and card games. My son has really enjoyed going to the official Pokemon league and meeting new friends his age who share his love for the game. The folks here are friendly and you can tell they are knowledgeable and love the industry. I randomly stumbled across this place when I was grabbing lunch in the area on my break. I can't speak to much on the value because I was just going in to take a look at the time (and didn't purchase anything on that particular visit), but from the price tags, everything that I saw seemed very reasonable. This is the type of place that I would have spent a lot of my paper route or minimum wages I earned when I was a kid. I probably would have spent hours here and been here all the time if this place was near me growing up. If you are into comic books and related collectibles, this place is an absolute gem.
